Cain and Abel is the story of the first people born on Earth.

Who are Cain and Abel?

In the Abrahamic religions, Cain and Abel are the sons of Adam and Eve, born after the expulsion of their first parents from Eden. As God commanded, Cain and Abel worked on the earth and ate the fruits of their hard labor. Cain was a farmer, and Abel was a shepherd.

The story of Abel and Cain is the story of the first murder on Earth. The earth at that time was still very young, but had already suffered the influence of the original sin of Adam and Eve. Cain was the first man born on the young Earth, Abel the first man to die.

The story of Cain and Abel is told in the Book of Genesis, chapter four. You can read or listen to the chapter about Cain and Abel by following the link:

The names Cain and Abel: meaning.

The name Cain comes from either the Hebrew root KANA, which means “to create / bring into being,” or from the root KINA, which means “envy.” The first version is supported by the lines of the Bible in which Eve says about Cain, “I made man.” The name Cain became a household name. Today it is customary to call an evil and envious person capable of meanness.

The name Abel (Hevel) probably goes back to the Hebrew word “hevel” - breath. However, many modern scholars say that the name Abel comes from the Akkadian “ablu”, which means son.

  • Why did Cain kill Abel?

Cain the farmer and Abel the herdsman brought the fruits of their labors as a sacrifice to God. God favorably accepted Abel’s sacrifice, since it was offered with a pure heart. Cain's sacrifice was rejected, since Cain sacrificed only out of habit, without love for God. Out of envy and anger, Cain kills Abel, thereby committing the first crime on the young Earth.

The story of Cain after the fratricide.

After the murder, Cain tried to hide his sin before God. When God asked Cain where his brother was, he replied that he did not know, since he was not his brother’s keeper. It is believed that God asked Cain this question in the hope of confessing his sin, but Cain showed no desire to repent.

    Cain and Abel. Zhitnikov Mikhail.

After the murder, Cain was cursed by God from the land on which the blood of Abel was shed. According to God's word, the earth will not give strength to Cain. And he must become an exile and a wanderer on earth. And Cain was sent to the land of Nod.

Cain cries out to God, saying that his punishment is more than he can bear, and that anyone who meets him will be able to kill him.

And the Lord [God] said to him: therefore, whoever kills Cain will be avenged sevenfold. And the Lord [God] made a sign for Cain, so that no one who met him would kill him.

Cain is the father of Enoch and the founder of his line. He also founded a city and named it after his son ENOCH. Who was Cain's wife? There is no mention of this in the Bible, but there are two opinions, both based on the Book of Jubilees:

    • Cain's wife was his sister Avan;
    • Cain's wife was Sheba.

Cain's tribe has 7 generations. It is believed that Cain's family did not survive the Great Flood. In the apocryphal book of Enoch it is written that the soul of Abel became the head of the martyrs and persecuted the descendants of Cain.

“This is the spirit that came out of Abel, who was killed by his brother Cain; and he complains against him until his (Cain’s) seed is blotted out from the face of the earth and his seed is destroyed from the seed of men.”

Why didn't God accept Cain's sacrifice? Could Cain not have killed Abel? Was Abel God's "favorite" and Cain his "stepson"? Alexander Tkachenko answers these questions .

    Alexander TKACHENKO

If you carefully analyze everything that the Bible says about Cain, the key word in determining his place in history will be “first.” Cain is the first child of Adam and Eve. That is, the first person, not directly created by God, but born from dad and mom. In addition, he is the first builder - the creator of the first city on our planet. But, alas, it is not for this primacy that people have been remembering his name for several millennia. Cain became the culprit of the first death on Earth. He killed his brother.

The reason for this murder was a feeling that subsequently many times pushed people to commit crimes - envy. The Bible says that Cain was a farmer and his younger brother Abel was a sheep herder. When the time came, each of them brought the results of their labors as a gift to God: Cain - part of the harvest, and Abel - the best animals of his herd. But God did not accept Cain's sacrifice. According to legend, fire sent by the Lord descended on Abel’s sacrifice and it, engulfed in flames, rushed to the sky. But the fire, signifying that the sacrifice was pleasing to God, never descended on Cain’s gift. And Cain was very upset. Obsessed with envy, he lured his brother into a field and killed him. For which he was cursed, branded and expelled from the place where he then lived.

But why didn't God accept Cain's sacrifice? It is clear that it is impossible to kill your brother in any case. And yet, didn’t Cain have, so to speak, extenuating circumstances? After all, both worked, each brought to God what they had, and suddenly such a different attitude towards sacrifices! Maybe Cain just needed to give up his farming and take up cattle breeding, since God wanted sheep to be sacrificed to Him, and not wheat and corn? But it is obvious that God does not need any offerings from people at all. Everything that a person can bring to Him as a gift was created by Him. And to suggest that God needs lamb more than vegetables is, to say the least, frivolous. The meaning of sacrifice is completely different.

    Cain. Lovis Corinth. 1917

After all, when a child treats his parents to sweets from a New Year's gift, which they themselves bought for him, he can choose the most delicious candies and marshmallows for them, or maybe, looking away, slip them a couple of sticky caramels. And if he regretted the most delicious delicacy, saving it for himself, the parents have something to be upset about. But the reason for this grief will be anxiety and bitterness for your child, who is growing up greedy.

Build for Cain the Forester (Jungler)

    Spell Selection:

In order to effectively farm the forest, you should definitely take the Smite spell. Flash is often used as the second spell, but given the very high mobility of the champion, you can replace it with Ignite. In this case, we will of course sacrifice an additional source of mobility, but we will have excellent additional damage, which can also be very effective against enemies with good healing.

The order of leveling up skills:

    14579
    28101213
    314151718
    61116

The above option is one of the most popular. The Reaping Slash skill is maxed out here first. In this case, the champion will have good damage at the initial stage of the game and will clear neutral monsters without any problems. The second skill should already be maxing out Blade's Reach, since this is our second source of damage. At the same time, the Shadow Step ability must be upgraded by one at the very beginning of the game. Otherwise we will lose our mobility. Ultimate is upgraded as it becomes available.

The second option was deliberately not indicated, since there are a lot of nuances there and let's figure out why. If you decide to move away from the standard option, then you can try to max Blade's Reach first, but of course we definitely take 1-2 levels of Reaping Slash. This option is interesting because when we decide to turn into Darkin, we will still have a good bonus for the Reaping Slash ability, although it will not be at the maximum level, but at the same time we will already have leveled up the second skill Blade's Reach. That is, by the middle of the game we will have two powerful skills at once. Then you have a choice: raise Reaping Slash to the maximum level or leave a couple of levels and max out Shadow Step. Actually, because of this, a huge number of combinations can be born here. You can even level up the Reaping Slash and Blade's Reach skills alternately.

    Runes:

    Artifact Selection:

    Starting purchase

    Hunter's TalismanWarding Totem (Trinket)

In order to comfortably farm the forest, we will definitely need a specialized item, and Hunter's Talisman is a common choice here. With the remaining money you should definitely take something for health regen. This can be either a Refillable Potion or several cans of Health Potion. The jungler's item is subsequently upgraded to either Stalker's Blade or Skirmisher's Saber. In the first case, we have an additional source of slowdown, and Cain clearly lacks control. If you see that your allies have enough control and you don’t need control during ganks, then in this case it is better, of course, to take the duelist’s saber. With these items, Cain's damage to one target will be noticeably higher. The best enchantment to use is Warrior to increase the champion's damage.

    Key items

In reality, there are simply a huge number of artifacts suitable for Cain. This is due to the fact that the hero himself is unusual and has two forms, each of which significantly changes the gameplay. Just above were two items Black Cleaver and Duskblade of Draktharr. These items are only indirectly key and in fact they are simply used most often. Let's say that the Ax can really be bought in almost every game, but you should already think about buying Draktarr. Below we will look at several final assemblies, but first I would like to point out a few points. Let me remind you that as the game progresses, Cain can take on one of the forms. In the form of the Twilight Killer, the champion is capable of inflicting a lot of damage and artifacts for this form are purchased accordingly. Good choices are: Duskblade of Draktharr, Youmuu's Ghostblade, Edge of Night and Death's Dance. Guardian Angel is ideal for protection items. If you play through the Darkin form, then in this case few damage items are used. Often, just taking a Black Cleaver and a jungler item with the Warrior enchantment is enough. The remaining items are purchased for protection. There can be a lot of options here, but I advise you to take a closer look at: Dead Man's Plate, Spirit Visage and Guardian Angel.

    Final purchase

    Option 1:

    Stalker's Blade - WarriorNinja Tabi

This option is good if you decide to use the Darkin form and at the same time you need a really good tankiness of the champion. If you need more damage, then instead of one of the defense items, take something for damage (for example, Duskblade of Draktharr). Boots can also be changed depending on the situation. If, for example, more magical protection is required, then we buy Mercury's Treads accordingly. Of course, the items for protection may be different, but I advise you to try this option first.

    Option 2:

    Skirmisher's Saber - WarriorNinja Tabi

The second option is good to use if you decide to play as the Twilight Killer. There are already more damage artifacts here. If you are confident in your abilities and understand that the enemies will not kill you, then instead of Guardian Angel, you can try to take Death's Dance or Edge of Night.

    Pros and cons of Cain

    Pros:

    • Very good initial forest clearing speed. The champion can easily clear out large crowds of neutral monsters.
    • Good one-time skill damage.
    • Extremely high mobility, which is achieved through several skills at once.
    • Due to the ability to pass through walls, the champion can attack from completely different sides. Also, walking inside walls allows you to bypass enemy wards.
    • Due to the ability to change his uniform during the match, Cain can adapt to his current position in the game. Also, a large number of items are suitable for the hero, which also make the champion more flexible.
    • Unusual and interesting style of play.

    Minuses:

    • No normal control skills. You will have to rely heavily on the skills of your allies.
    • In order to be strong, Cain must change his form. Moreover, this can only be done once per game.
    • The Twilight Killer has a fairly low survivability rate that is based solely on mobility.
    • Average fundamentals.
    • Quite a difficult hero to master.
