Are there any facts about the existence of a human soul? Scientific research.

What is the soul

There is no specific definition of the concept “soul”. According to theologians, it means an immaterial substance, which is a manifestation of a higher nature. It is invisible and immortal, primary in relation to the human body.

Independent because it is not a manifestation of other entities, but itself becomes their source. Usually contrasted with the body. This is a unique and unrepeatable creation of God. Determines the following abilities in a person:

  • feelings;
  • perception;
  • character.

The body is the material shell, and the soul is the content of each person. This is a piece of God that the creator breathed into man. There is a theory about it in every religion.

Many believe that theology arose as a result of people's search for answers to questions about the soul. Different peoples put it in first place. Religion does not provide evidence of the existence of this substance. Her teaching is a dogma that does not require confirmation of facts.

From the point of view of science, the closest thing to the concept of soul is consciousness. There are no temporal or spatial limits for him. The indirect result of observing the soul is psychology.

Science speaks of consciousness as a function of the brain that shapes a person into a thinking being. The concept includes memory, images, intelligence, thoughts, behavior and vision. Now even skeptics are beginning to believe in the presence of an immaterial substance in the human body.

Soul in ancient philosophy

In Homer, D.-psyche (Greek ψυχῄ) appears in the variant. contexts as “life force” leaving the body with its last breath, and as an ethereal “ghost” (εἴδωλον), after the death of a person existing in Hades, but completely devoid of consciousness and memory (“Odyssey”, XI 51; “Iliad”, XXIII 104 ). The new, anti-Homeric concept of D. has been spreading since the 6th century. BC e. in Pythagoreanism and Orphism: D. is understood as a “demon”, that is, an immortal being of divine origin, her wanderings through the bodies of animals and plants (metempsychosis) - as “punishment” for the primitive sin of the titans, “body” - as a “grave” soul [with a play on the consonance σῷμα (“body”) – σῆμα (“grave”)], the goal of a righteous life is as “cleansing” (catharsis) from filth, atonement for guilt and the return of D. to his heavenly ancestral home. At the same time, D., who has the memory of previous incarnations (Pythagoras), is identified with the psychic “I”; in the fragments of Heraclitus D. is the substrate of the phenomena of consciousness and the bearer of morals. qualities (“The dry soul is the wisest and best”, fragment 68 M), although at the same time it is identified with air. With the exception of Heraclitus, religious-eschatological. D.'s problems are alien to the Ionian tradition, which is interested primarily in biology. functions of D. (D. - “life”) and usually understands it as air and breath; At the same time, within the framework of the parallelism of microcosm and macrocosm, world dynamics is often postulated (especially clearly in Diogenes of Apollonia). Empedocles' combination of naturalistic is unclear. concept of D. (“blood”) in Op. “On Nature” with the Orphic-Pythagorean doctrine of D. - “demon” in “Purifications”. Democritus postulated for D. special spherical atoms of “fire”, superior to all other kinetic atoms. ability.

Plato's teaching about D., which grew out of the Orphic-Pythagorean concept, differs from it in its greater multidimensionality. Epistemological aspect is developed in the Phaedo: immortality and the initial closeness of the incorporeal D. to the supersenses. make it possible for the world to know ideas through “memory” (see Anamnesis). In "Phaedrus" D. acts as an ontologist. the principle of (arche) movement; in the Timaeus, world dynamics governs the cosmos and the luminaries. Systematic interpretation of D. in social and ethical terms. plan is given in the “State”: the hierarchy of the three parts of D. - “rational, emotional-angry and lustful” (localized respectively in the head, chest and abdominal cavity) correlates with the three-part division of society into guardians-philosophers, warriors and artisan-farmers. estate. Only the highest part, according to Timaeus, created by the demiurge, is immortal. Psychophysiological the orientation of Aristotle's treatise “On the Soul” contrasts sharply with Platonism. the concept of his early dialogue "Evdem". Aristotle removed D. from cosmology, transferring the functions of the “self-propelled” principle to “nature”, and distinguished three “abilities” of D. – “nutritive”, “sensing” and “noetic” (intellectual): the first is inherent in plants, the first two - in animals, all three - only to man (“On the Soul”, 414b20 – 415a13). Soul and body are related to each other as act and potency, form and matter and are therefore inseparable; Only the active part of the “smart” noetic soul is “separable” and immortal.

In the Ancient Academy, Xenocrates defined D. as a “self-moving number.” Among the ancient Peripatetics, Aristoxenus and Dicaearchus adhered to the structural concept of D. mentioned already in the Phaedo (88d) as the “harmony” of the body, which Macrobius attributed to Pythagoras and Philolaus, but, strictly speaking, incompatible with the thesis of the immortality of D. and akin to the characteristic of all Greek medicine and natural philosophy (starting with Alcmaeon) to the understanding of “health” as a balanced balance of opposites. Stoicism returned to the Ionian bodily understanding of D. and brought the hylozoistic tradition to its limit. panpsychism (Anaximenes - Heraclitus - Diogenes), seeing in D. part of the pancosmic. pneuma; The human brain consists of 8 parts: the five sense organs, the speech ability, the seminal ability, and the “command” center, to which all the others are attached like “octopus tentacles.” In Epicurus, D. is a conglomerate of atoms of “fire, air, pneumatic and some fourth - nameless” element responsible for sensation.

In middle Platonism and neo-Pythagoreanism, Pythagorean-Platonicism is revived. doctrine of D., but at the same time there is a tendency towards a more rigid differentiation of D. and mind (nusa) and hierarchical. subordination of the first to the second. Plutarch attributes irrational D. to matter - motor force - and recognizes that subtracted from the 10th book. “Laws” of Plato evil D. Universe, correlating it with cosmic. devil east religions (“About Isis and Osiris”). Numenius formulates the doctrine of two divisions. D. in man - rational and irrational - and introduces for the first time the idea of the “ethereal” body of D. In Plotinus, world D. is the third hypostasis, “reflection” (eἰϰῴη) of Umanus, a mediator between the incorporeal world to which it belongs, and the senses . the world that she creates, essentially taking on the functions of a demiurge. Human D. as a microcosm is similar to world D.; turning upward, it goes back to the activity of nous, in which object and subject are indistinguishable, turning downward - through discursive thinking and feelings. perception - descends to practicality. activities.

Scientists' theories about the concept

Ancient thinkers tried to prove the fact of the existence of the soul when there was no philosophical concept yet. In ancient times, it was believed that she could leave the physical body and travel outside of it. This fact explained the appearance of dreams. It was believed that the soul leaves its carrier at the last breath.

Different professors interpreted the concept in their own way.

  1. Plato believed that the soul resides in the immaterial world, where it acquires the necessary knowledge. Then she inhabits the body. Is immortal.
  2. Aristotle characterized the soul as the driving force that turns a person into a personality.
  3. Hegel in his work “Philosophy of Spirit” tried to reveal the concept. Separated the soul from the mind. The philosopher believed that freedom is a manifestation of spirituality. The spirit takes on the form of the soul only through its interaction with nature and the body.
  4. Kant was a critic of Plato's theory. He pointed out that these were just speculations of the scientist, and not confirmed facts.
  5. Freud identified impulses that came from within and had nothing to do with the mind. In the soul he distinguished 3 components: Id - it, Ego - I, Superego - beyond the Self. From the first component others develop.

Without which there is no life

For a long time, people have been trying to understand where the human soul is located, without which existence is impossible. One of the students of the ancient Greek philosopher Democritus, Galen, suggested that its place was in the blood vessels. When dying, a person loses blood, with which the soul leaves the body. But then it is unclear what happens in the event of death not from blood loss.

The ancient Egyptians assumed that the existence of the soul is unrealistic without preserving the body, which is why rituals to preserve bodily shells acquired such great importance in culture; Egyptologists still find “houses of souls” - mummies.

It was also assumed that the soul is located in the chest area - after all, it is this that makes it possible to breathe, which is impossible in a dead state. The peoples of the north placed the soul in the area of the cervical vertebra, because they knew that damage to it would lead to inevitable death.

Various studies

In the twentieth century, the founder of quantum mechanics, E. Schrödinger, noted that the nature of human consciousness is immaterial. Its connection with physical processes defies understanding and is not explained scientifically.

Academician from Russia P. Anokhin said that researchers could not find a connection between mental operations and any part of the brain. He argued that the psyche is not his function. This is a manifestation of intangible, spiritual forces.

In the 70s of the twentieth century, it was found that human DNA is 99% identical to chimpanzee DNA. Later the figures were adjusted to 85-95%. But the coincidence remained great. Scientists tried to figure out why, with almost equal indicators, the difference in development is so large.

A person has a developed consciousness, culture, he knows how to communicate, has craft skills, etc. Many such circumstances are explained by the existence of the soul. But researchers are debunking theories that rely on such facts. They believe that 5% of DNA is 150 million base pairs, which provides a lot of room for evolutionary processes.

My own conclusions about the existence of the soul

Understanding my connection with God the Creator did not come immediately. The process of awareness took some time and was also influenced by the environment. As soon as the mental images and forms changed, the environment changed. I’ll tell you very briefly, I won’t reveal much. However, even with the termination of the trust management agreement and the revocation of personal data from the Russian Federation, the concept of Soul was included .

It was then that we understood how the Russian Federation, through an invalid citizen’s passport, recognizes Men and Women as incompetent. Thus collecting voluntary consent from people that they do not recognize themselves as living beings. And it is for these that the laws were invented. Through this form, all the energy of creation that God the Creator has endowed us with, through the Soul, is pumped out of them.

If you want to give opposing arguments, you are welcome. Just read the commenting rules . So that we immediately understand why this or that comment was not accepted for publication at all.

Evidence of existence

Many studies have been conducted that confirm the existence of the soul. Among them, 2 works stand out.

  1. K. Korotkov, a professor from St. Petersburg, captured the aura of people near death. For this purpose special devices were used. When a person leaves our world, the shell continues to glow. It gradually fades and dissolves in space. Then the body causes an association with the object. It was concluded that a person’s energy shell exists longer than his physical body.
  2. Guskova, a scientist from Barnaul, argued that each soul is unique, like fingerprints. A group of researchers under his leadership identified an energy-informational substance in the human body. For the experiment, water purified from different energy sources was used. It was placed next to people, further exploring the structure of the liquid. As a result of the experiment, it was found that it is constantly changing. When the studies were repeated on the same subject, the same pattern emerged.

Neurophysiologist Natalya Bekhtereva, having analyzed the report of the famous professor John Eccles, made the following conclusion:

  • the human brain does not generate thoughts on its own, but is a reproducer of them - they come from somewhere outside;
  • the brain produces only elementary thoughts - for example, “I want to drink.”

Bekhtereva confirmed these facts with her own experiments. The professors were unable to explain the creative process. They suggested that higher powers were involved.

Something inside a person tells him what to do. This self-consciousness is the soul, the quality of a person that distinguishes him from objects. The thought process is the proof of the existence of the soul.

Materialism and idealism

There are two opposing points of view about the nature of consciousness:

  • according to materialism, this is the content of the brain, a certain system of combining nerve cells, the generation of biochemical processes;
  • according to idealism, it is the ego, an immaterial substance, undying energy.

It is a mistake to believe that the Self is a collection of cells. They are constantly renewed in the human body - old ones die, new ones are reborn. Some change daily. Therefore, the Self cannot be a collection of cells, otherwise in 80 years life would be lived not by one person, but by ten different ones in one body.

But it is known that nerve cells do not renew themselves. The question arises whether consciousness is not their totality. In this case, a person would lose a piece of his Self every day. A contradiction arises.

It is also a mistake to believe that consciousness is a brain activity. Although many people think that the outside world perceives this organ, and it decides what to do and how to act, such a statement is incorrect.

Now the brain is well studied - its functions, blocks. Specialized equipment is used for research, but nowhere in the results is there information about the connection between the brain and consciousness. Although materialists have repeatedly tried to prove this.

Evidence for a disconnect between the brain and the mind

A person receives a soul thanks to his senses. Every cell of the body is spiritualized. Many argue that all sensory information goes to the right hemisphere of the brain. This means that the soul resides in this part of the human body.

Awareness of events occurs in the left hemisphere. It is responsible for speech. When a person is born, he already has a soul, but cannot yet think. It takes time for the speech apparatus to begin to function, then the thinking process will begin.

But there is indisputable evidence that there is no connection between the brain and consciousness. Many experiments have been conducted that have confirmed this. This is how Professor Voino-Yasenetsky talks about various cases in his practice. Once he opened an abscess that destroyed the patient's left frontal lobe. But after surgery, no mental abnormalities were observed.

In 1940, an interesting statement was made in Bolivia by a group of doctors. In the clinic of one of the professors, a young man who had a brain tumor was observed. He remained conscious until his last breath. After death, the body was opened and it was seen that the brain was separated from the skull. No one could explain how the boy remained conscious until the moment of his death.

In 1976, the famous Dutch watchmaker Jan Gerling died. Instead of brain he was found to have fluid. The separate existence of consciousness was also proven by Dutch physiologists. The result of their work was the following statements:

  • consciousness exists after the death of the physical body - it is independent;
  • The brain is not a thinking matter, but an organ responsible for certain functions.

The soul exists and it is immortal

Religious scholar, Doctor of Historical Sciences, teacher at the Department of Religious Studies at one of the Prague universities Ruslan MADATOV published a very interesting article in which he provided evidence of the existence of the soul from a scientific point of view.

The article interested the journalists of the ECHO newspaper and they decided to talk with Ruslan Vakhidovich directly on this topic. After all, if humanity accepts the fact of the existence and immortality of the soul as a scientific fact, life on Earth cannot help but transform for the better.

— Why do you think that this knowledge will transform life on Earth? Believers already recognize this fact.

— Believers are one thing, but science and secular rulers are another. If we begin to officially recognize life as another stage of existence, we will build it completely differently, from a humanistic position.

We will begin to understand that we can either rise on the path of self-improvement, or destroy our soul for the sake of some momentary benefits: money, power, etc.

— Many people have provided evidence of the existence of the soul: scientists, including doctors, and religious figures. How is your evidence different?

“I decided to approach the question simultaneously from a scientific, esoteric, and strictly logical point of view. I tried not to touch upon purely religious dogmas, remembering that people with a practical mindset are moving further and further away from religion, seeing in it only an economic and political institution.

At the same time, I understood that someone had already provided this or that evidence, so I do not claim exclusivity. I proceeded from the fact that the more we talk about this topic, the better it will be for people - they will begin to think about not ruining their lives.

Based on the scientific basis of the proof of any theorem, I presented my proofs step by step.

Let's start with consciousness. Many scientists have already recognized the fact that it does not belong to the brain, and, therefore, to the physical body. And also the fact that it is material. That it is material is proved by the simple fact that it exists.

And if something exists, it is formed by some form of matter, which is the second question: if we cannot define or characterize something, it does not follow that this form of matter does not exist. The main thing is that there is matter and there is no emptiness. And science just can’t decide to draw such a simple conclusion!

— What prevents her, from your point of view, from drawing such a conclusion?

- First of all, the fact that they have not yet been able to agree on terms regarding the very concept of matter. What it is? What do we see, hear, touch? What can we, as a last resort, record with some instruments? (Various rays, radiation, etc.)

Yes, definitely. But two hundred years ago, no one could detect the same radiation. However, it is there. And it was. As you can see, the conclusion is simple, it couldn’t be simpler: if at this stage of our technical development we cannot detect something, this only means that we have not yet come up with the necessary devices, and not at all that the desired object does not exist.

The same fact that the desired object exists is indirectly confirmed by science itself. Here is what physicists say: “It turned out that in order for all space objects to move in space the way they do now, the universe must be filled with some kind of matter unknown to people (“dark” matter), the mass of which, according to rough calculations, is about ninety percent of the total mass in the universe."

What is the conclusion from this? What we can somehow record is only the tip of the iceberg; the rest is hidden from our senses and instruments. And it may well turn out that in the dark depths of the underwater part of the iceberg is precisely the matter of consciousness.

“However, as far as I know, there are already experiments in “making” the invisible visible.

— Yes, for example, Academician Anatoly Fedorovich Okhatrin, who worked for Academician Korolev, head of the dowsing laboratory and the Institute of Mineralogy, Geochemistry and Crystal Chemistry and Rare Elements, the founder of the microleptonic field theory, was able to make thoughts visible by inventing a special photoelectronic apparatus.

Here is what he wrote on this topic: “We asked a psychic woman to emit a kind of field, endowing it with information. When she did this, we recorded what was happening using a photoelectronic device.

The photo showed how something like a cloud separated from the aura surrounding her and began to move on its own.

Such thought forms, saturated with certain moods and emotions, can be embedded in people and even influence them.”

Okhatrin is not alone; Professor Alexander Chernetsky also conducted similar experiments. He managed to photograph a person's thought.

- I can imagine what started here!.. Science answered as it answers in such cases: “This cannot be, because it can never happen!”

- That's right, that's how it started. I won’t talk about this in detail; anyone interested should look on the Internet about the experiments of these wonderful scientists. Which, by the way, were carried out not even now, but back in the 80s.

— You started with the fact that consciousness is material, does not belong to the brain and the physical body. But where exactly does the thinking process take place?

- The answer seems to be on the surface - in the brain, of course. At the same time, scientists have not yet been able to explain the mechanism by which this very consciousness functions in it and how the thinking process occurs.

True, there were scientists with an open mind, for example, Natalya Petrovna Bekhtereva. This is what this world-famous neurophysiologist wrote: “I first heard the hypothesis that the human brain only perceives thoughts from somewhere outside from the lips of Nobel laureate, Professor John Eccles.

Of course, at the time it seemed absurd to me. But then research conducted at our St. Petersburg Brain Research Institute confirmed: we cannot explain the mechanics of the creative process.

The brain can generate only the simplest thoughts, such as turning the pages of a book you are reading or stirring sugar in a glass. And the creative process is the manifestation of a completely new quality...”

Other scientists have cited the fact that changes in brain activity have no effect on the process of thinking as evidence that thinking occurs somewhere else, citing experiments in which tomographs recorded brain activity in a comatose state, in a state of hypnosis.

And the fact that well-equipped modern science has still not found the place in the brain where information is localized cannot be discounted either.

Earlier experiments - for example, from the 20s - are also very interesting. Thus, Karl Lashley, a famous brain researcher at that time, irrefutably proved that conditioned reflexes in rats do not disappear after removing completely different parts of the brain one by one.

Thus, he showed that there is no “specialized” area in the brain responsible for these reflexes.

The same effect is observed in people - with forced amputation of most of the brain, they retain all mental abilities. Everyone knows the phenomenon of the American Carlos Rodriguez, who lives without the frontal lobes of the brain (that is, more than 60 percent of his brain is missing).

And this example is not unique. For example, the abstract of Dr. Robinson from the Paris Academy of Sciences describes a case where a man lived to be 60 years old, led a normal life, received a head injury, died more than a month later, and only after an autopsy it turned out that he had practically no brain! There was only a sheet of paper-thin membrane of the brain matter.

The German specialist Hufland (who, by the way, completely revised all his medical views after the described case) had a similar case: in a deceased patient, who retained his mental and physical abilities until the moment he was struck by paralysis, no brain was found in the cranium at all! Instead of brain there was 300 grams of liquid.

In Holland, one of the country's best watchmakers, 55-year-old Jan Gerling, died in 1976. An autopsy showed that he also had a water-type fluid instead of brain. In Scotland, in Sheffield, doctors were amazed that a student with an IQ of 126, which is above average, had an X-ray showing a complete absence of brain.

- Well, they say that parts of the brain are able to take on the functions of lost parts...

- Yes, they are capable, and such cases are also known. But water in the skull is also capable?! What about the case of the Scottish student? If there is an exception to the rule, the rule no longer applies.

By the way, the famous Latin phrase that there is an exception to every rule is nothing more than a mistranslation: the rule does not work if there is at least one exception.

Evidence that the thinking process is not carried out in the brain was also supported by the experiments of psychiatrist Gennady Pavlovich Krokhalev, who worked on the problem of recording visions.

Back in 1979, he received a patent for photographing the hallucinations of his patients with an ordinary camera and video camera.

These fixations allowed him to treat patients. And in 2000, his article was published stating that these hallucinations and thoughts are not in the human brain, but somewhere outside.

Direct evidence of the existence of consciousness outside the body is provided by patients’ descriptions of their sensations during the exit of their consciousness from the body during clinical death.

There are hundreds of thousands of such descriptions! People describe how they see themselves from the outside, how they are transported thousands of kilometers from their body and then clearly tell what they saw there, and everything matches down to the smallest detail.

And here official science cannot do anything; they even came up with a special name for such states: “the experience of being outside the body.”

- Of course, I’m not an expert, but it seems to me that if you learn this, then people blind from birth will be able to understand the world!

— By the way, people who were blind from birth also fell into a state of clinical death and described what they saw. Some claim it's a hallucination.

What kind of hallucination can we talk about if a person is blind from birth and simply does not know what what he saw looks like?!

— In our last conversation, you expressed the idea that reincarnation is possible. So, maybe these visions of those born blind are simply the experience of their past life, where they were sighted?

“Everything is possible, it is unprovable, but it is also impossible to refute it.” But as for your question about “learning,” there are examples of conscious separation of consciousness from the physical body.

Whether a person learned this on purpose or whether it is an innate ability, it doesn’t even matter. Jeffrey Mishlove's book, The Roots of Consciousness, details numerous studies of the phenomenon of leaving the physical body at the New York laboratory of the American Society for Psychical Research.

Laboratory specialists have received unequivocal evidence that when leaving the body of consciousness or the astral double, this “double” clearly describes the places where it has been and shares the information it collected there. There are even examples of the influence of this “double” on physical devices.

- All this is very, very interesting, but what does this have to do directly with proving the existence of the soul?

“With these stories, I was conveying the idea that a person is nothing more than a certain energetic entity, “dressed” in a physical body. And consciousness - like the soul - does not belong to the body.

— Did I understand correctly that consciousness in your understanding is the soul?

- Right! Consciousness is the material substance of a form of matter unknown to us today, which continues to exist even after the death of the “clothing” - the physical body.

And in this regard, the immortal consciousness-soul is a more valuable and significant concept than even those that various beliefs and religions offer us.

In any religion there are elements of mysticism, miracles, that is, everything that a person with a skeptical and analytical mindset denies. Here there is only bare physics: the soul-consciousness exists regardless of religious preferences, it exists materially, its existence can be proven in the future not indirectly, but directly - with the help of instruments that, I believe, will be created.

The most important thing is that she is immortal! This means that, having given up, we do not die for good, as Vysotsky brilliantly said.

— It turns out that you put an “equal” sign not only between consciousness and soul, but also between this and personality?

- I bet! I bet with confidence!

- And my soul, which I have, will always exist?

— It will, but the very phrase “I have a soul,” in my opinion, is incorrect. Moreover, it is wrong. It's as if my suit said: "I have a man named Ruslan." You, I - we are souls dressed in bodies!

— Is there any evidence of a unified system of personality-consciousness-soul and physical body?

— Yes, this is the so-called phantom effect, which has been described by many scientists. Anyone interested in the topic of phantoms should remember a very famous photo. It was shot in special rays. A tree is missing part of its trunk and crown after a lightning strike.

However, in the photo we see as if a whole tree - non-existent branches, trunk and even foliage are also noticeable. Non-existent parts that do not exist in reality, but are captured in photographs, are precisely the phantom of the tree.

What does this mean? The tree has lost some of its physical parts, but has retained its subtle parts. This is like the “soul” of the tree. In the subtle world it exists in its original form. Which is what the photographer captured.

The phantom parts completely repeat the shape of the essence of the tree, its “soul”.

The phantom effect manifests itself not only visually, but also in sensations. The effect of phantom pain has long been known, when non-existent amputated limbs hurt (itch, ache, itch).

Phantom sensations can be so strong that disabled people even try to stand on a non-existent leg - they completely feel it.

Official medicine explains this by physiology. With this very “physiology” she explains everything that she cannot explain more clearly. However, even people with a broken spine have phantom sensations, and official medicine disavows this and says that “according to physiology, this is impossible.” But it’s there!

Psychiatrists talk about the mental nature of this phenomenon, but even they cannot explain phantom sensations in disabled people from childhood who were born without an arm or leg.

However, it turns out that the phantom memory of limbs that never existed is inherent in the very essence of a person. Some say it’s in the genes, I’ll say it’s in the soul.

- Or is this again a memory of a past life, where the arms and legs were in place?

“This will only be additional proof of the immortality of the soul.”

— Then it turns out that the role of the soul-consciousness-personality is much more important in the formation of both the body and human sensations?

- Absolutely right! Academician Nikolai Viktorovich Levashov writes about it this way: “When asked about how the human embryo develops (as well as any other living organism), brave biologists and doctors, with great faith in their knowledge, often with a condescending smile at the question of the ignorant, dashingly answer: “in different zygotic cells (embryo cells) different hormones and enzymes appear and, as a consequence of this, the brain develops from one zygotic cell, the heart from another, the lungs from a third, etc., etc.” .

But how, how do they know what to develop into? Are the genes talking? How convenient it is to explain everything with genes, especially since no one understands exactly what it is!

When the first cell divides, two appear, ABSOLUTELY IDENTICAL to each other! Then the process is repeated, and now we have hundreds of identical cells!

It turns out that ALL cells of the embryo have identical genetics. So where do the bone, brain, enzyme, etc. cells come from? No biologist or doctor will give you a clear answer!

And if we take as a basis the materialistic perception of the world, based on the laws of physics known to us today, then there will NEVER be an answer!

— And if we take as a basis not the materialistic explanation of the universe, but the presence of a soul that controls all processes, then will there be an answer?

- It seems to me that everyone has already understood this! Besides official science! (Laughs). Look what the same Levashov writes: “Studies of electrical potentials around plant seeds have yielded phenomenal results.

After processing the data, scientists (Herold Burr from Yale University and others) were surprised to find that in a three-dimensional projection, the measurement data around the buttercup seed forms the shape of an adult buttercup plant.

The seed has not yet fallen into fertile soil, has not even “hatched” yet, but the form of an adult plant is already here...

This energy form only needed to be filled with atoms and molecules for the flower to become real, visible to our eyes.”

It seems absolutely obvious to me that the soul is the very matrix that determines the form and content of the future person. And any other creature - you need to be consistent, everything has a soul.

- But how does all this actually happen? There is a fertilized egg that has begun to divide into identical cells... And then what? Some entity, so far elusive with our instruments, “sticks” to these hundreds of identical cells and begins to control the structure? Bringing it to mind - like with that buttercup?

- Absolutely right! It is not for nothing that almost all religions say that the soul does not appear from the moment of conception, but later - when there is something to “stick to”. The human brain in this case is a kind of receiver that receives information from the personality-consciousness-soul.

Information is a guide to action. It’s not for nothing that brain neurons are very similar to a transceiver device, even in appearance! Any biologist familiar with physical electrical circuits will tell you this.

- If the neurons of the brain can receive information from the soul, like a radio, then they should be able - in theory - to transmit information to the surrounding space? Maybe this can explain telepathic abilities and clairvoyance? And the transmission of thoughts over a distance?

- It seems to me that this is obvious! Academician Natalya Petrovna Bekhtereva, before whom I simply bow, says this on this topic: “The brain is fenced off from the outside world by several membranes, it is decently protected from mechanical damage.

However, through all these membranes we record what is happening in the brain, and the losses in the amplitude of the signal when passing through these membranes are surprisingly small - in relation to direct recording from the brain, the signal decreases in amplitude by no more than two to three times (if it decreases at all !).

The possibility of direct activation of brain cells by environmental factors and, in particular, by electromagnetic waves carried out in the process of therapeutic electromagnetic stimulation is easily proven by the developing effect...” What other evidence is needed? Only physical. We are waiting for the necessary instruments from physicists!

— In principle, everything is clear. But let's touch on the topic of reincarnation again. How does the theory of reincarnation fit into your evidence for the existence and immortality of the soul?

- The very fact of reincarnation proves, if not immortality, then a very, very long life of the soul, at least for a period of several human lives.

— Can the fact of reincarnation be considered scientifically proven?

“There are too many cases documented by scientists for this to be dismissed.” I'll give just a couple. In the 70s in Berlin, a 12-year-old girl, after an injury, spoke Italian, which she did not know, as if it were her native language. But she didn’t just talk, she claimed that she was Italian, Rosetta, and was born in 1887.

She also named the address where she lived. The parents took the girl to this address in Italy, and an old woman opened the door. She turned out to be the daughter of the same woman, Rosetta, whose soul moved into the girl.

According to her, her mother died in 1917. The girl, seeing the old woman, exclaimed that this was her daughter and her name was Fransa. The old lady's name was actually Franca.

Another case was in India. From birth, the girl said that she was a grown man, that she had a wife and children, and named the place where she lived. Her parents took her to that village, where she unmistakably recognized the house, her room in the house, and so that they would believe her, she pointed out the place where in a past life she had buried coins in a tin box.

The box was found. These are cases of conscious reincarnation, a kind of infusion of a soul into a body in which another soul lives. Therefore, they are rather an exception.

But there are cases when people simply remember - under hypnosis, in a state of altered consciousness - their past lives. And they provide evidence.

— To summarize, what is the conclusion?

- The soul exists. It can be called the subtle body, which is a “house” for the personality, the essence of a person, his consciousness, memory, and thinking. This subtle body does not die along with the physical body, moving after physical death into another body.

The statement that the soul, after the death of the body, resides in some place like heaven, hell or purgatory, or in abstract “heaven” seems incorrect to me.

More precisely, the very wording of the names of these “places” is incorrect. The soul, it seems to me, depending on its spiritual development, on its settings, on sensations, on the actions of the body during life, ends up in different bodies in the next life. And it will be either “heaven” for her or “hell”.

I haven’t discovered anything new here (laughs), it’s all in Hinduism. If your thoughts, intentions, desires were pure, your karma was not spoiled, your next life will be better than the previous one. Well, what if it’s the other way around...

Therefore, I assert that if humanity officially recognizes the existence and immortality of the soul, it will not flood the planet with negativity, anger, and death of its own kind.

And all this, mind you, coincides with the basic postulates of almost all religions: do not kill, do not steal, and so on.

Reasons for the existence of a substance

The soul, scientifically, has its own reasons for existence.

  1. Natural - nature itself settled in the human body and came to life in it, therefore it is immortal. It is impossible to destroy it.
  2. Biological - the physical body is a temple for the soul. From this point of view, man is mortal. It is worth considering what the essence of its existence is.
  3. Epistemological - all generations begin their lives using the experience of their ancestors in the form of Good and Evil. This suggests that when a person dies, he leaves a mark.

Who is the creator of the spiritual component of man

Opinions about the creator of the soul vary, depending on the beliefs of humanity. Atheists claim that it is nature - part of the Universe that man perceives with his senses.

The connection of two different substances - the soul and the physical body does not require the intervention of Higher powers. Nature itself created intelligent life. Without her complicity, a person cannot exist.

According to theologians, a person perceives everything sensually - this is the result of the thoughts of the Creator. With the help of scientific study he has the opportunity to join them. Cognition is an arduous process of extracting the thoughts of God from the material world.

How much does a soul weigh?

American physician and biologist Duncan McDougall at the beginning of the twentieth century put forward his version of confirmation of the existence of the soul. He conducted research on people who were near death.

Using scales that have a very small measurement error, he weighed patients before and after their transition to another world. It turned out that the human body becomes 21.3 g lighter. McDougall published the results of his research, indicating that many of them needed to be carried out for the purity of the experiment.

The theory has drawn criticism from skeptics. But creative people liked the information that it was possible to measure the weight of the soul. The idea gained popularity. After the scientist, measurements of body weight at the time of death were carried out repeatedly, but the results were always different - from 9 to 23 g, so accuracy could not be achieved.

McDougall conducted research on dogs. 15 animals took part in the experiment. As a result, it was revealed that the body weight of the animal does not change after death. From this it was concluded that these pets have no soul. The doctor was criticized for deliberately poisoning animals for research.

The biologist's plans included a new stage of the experiment. He wanted to capture the soul leaving the body on film. But I didn’t have time to do this. McDougall died in 1920. Nobody translated his plans into reality.

Which theory to trust?

According to religion, the soul is the incorporeal essence of a living being. This is the part of a person that will live after death. A piece of God in every living being that is always present and always aware. According to science, it is unknown whether it even exists. Scientists do not recognize the spiritual dimension of life, although the mysteries of birth and death, the play of consciousness during sleep and even imagination and memory suggest the existence of a vital force independent of the body. Everyone chooses for themselves what to believe. Most choose the religious version of the performance. We are unlikely to know who is right here and who is wrong during our lifetime.

Birth of Man

When a baby meets nature, manifestations of the external world penetrate his body without obstacles. There he creates his mirror, sensual appearance. Without such a process, the human worldview and sense of self would not emerge. Nature, settling in the child’s body, becomes his living soul.

According to one opinion, animation occurs in the womb. But for many, it is more clear to consider its creation at the moment of the child’s first contact with the outside world. This is explained by the fact that in the womb, according to genetic laws, the body is created - a haven for the soul. The maturation of the human spirit begins according to epistemological principles after his birth.

The theory about the infusion of the soul in the womb can be debunked by the fact that the fetus’ sense organs are just forming. And a spiritualized worldview occurs thanks to them.

A person receives more than 80% of all information from the surrounding world through vision. Therefore, it is impossible to compare the animation of a fetus and an infant. In the first case, the inner world of the embryo interacts with the material world through the umbilical cord. As a result of the research, the following facts were highlighted:

  • attitude accompanies a person from the first to the last breath;
  • the soul exists until the sensory organs respond to external stimuli.

If a person is isolated from the world - creating conditions of complete darkness and silence - this will provoke hallucinations. There will be a fear of dying. If the experiment is not stopped, the person will actually die. Then nature will not be able to create itself in the physical body. In this case, the sense of self disappears.

Clinical death

There is a lot of information from people who were on the verge of life and death - in a state of clinical death. They claim that they saw the light at the end of the tunnel, experienced an inexplicable feeling of peace, and could observe their physical body from the outside.

Scientific refutation of some facts

Many professors in different fields have their own ideas about what is happening, which can be summarized in theses.

  1. Visions can be triggered by improper functioning of the brain when a person is in a state between life and death. This reaction also occurs as a result of using a certain type of drug - then the brain accepts the sum of impulses of sensory information as reality. He cannot interpret them correctly. The received signals are perceived as a new experience, and excess information is perceived as a bright stream of light.
  2. The brain's incorrect interpretation of spatial references, together with the lack of oxygen that occurs in such conditions, causes a sensation of floating.
  3. The feeling of euphoria appears due to the release of endorphins into the blood - this is the response of the injured brain. They provoke the emergence of a state of serenity.

These facts may also explain hallucinations where people report communicating with spirits, angels and God. Passed through consciousness, they are presented as real events.

Irrefutable arguments

Researchers of the phenomenon cannot explain everything from a scientific point of view. For example, the fact that in a state of clinical death, the experimental subjects knew what was happening in another room or in another part of the world.

German scientists and psychologists conducted research over 4 years. Thousands of people who were in a state of clinical death succumbed to the experiments. They were selected from different religions for the purity of the test.

After returning to our world, everyone talked about their feelings. They claimed that they left their bodily shell and experienced great grace and peace. The information also concerned images of bright light. Upon completion of the research, group leader Ackerman concluded that the eternal soul exists. There is also another life.

The Institute of Psychiatry in London also studied people who had suffered cardiac arrest. They were then able to tell what happened in the ward, what the staff said when they were unconscious.

Even the clock stops

Let's consider the anomalous phenomena that precede death. Professor Charles Tart and physicist Robert Monroe, as well as pre-death researcher Melvin Morse, are actively working on the issue.

Scientists working on thanatology

All scientists support the theory of preservation of part of consciousness in the subcortex of the brain even after the recorded death of the organism. They are trying to confirm this theory by discovering its material basis - the particles that make up the core of the soul. They are also investigating cases of encounters with the spirits of the dead, who can be seen within a day after a person’s heart stops.

According to the records of Melvin Morse, everyone who encountered ghosts discovered a certain pattern - their wristwatches malfunctioned or stopped completely after such an otherworldly encounter. This unusual phenomenon gave reason to assume the presence of a strong energy field in the souls of deceased people.

Charles Tart is famous for his experience with oscilloscopes: he placed the devices in the wards of terminally ill patients and waited for their activity to show. While people were alive, the instruments were silent, but just a couple of seconds after death, oscilloscopes recorded bursts of activity, which again confirms the theory of the presence of an electromagnetic field of the soul.

Life after death

At the beginning of the 21st century, at an international symposium devoted to the issue of life after death, some scientific achievements were outlined.

  1. The existence of the subtle body has been confirmed. It is responsible for memory, emotions, internal filling. The physical body acts as a mediator for the manifestation of these qualities.
  2. The existence of life after death has been proven. It does not end with a person’s stay on earth. The statement applies to everyone.
  3. The location of a person after death depends on his mood at a certain level of energy. It is made up of a person’s thoughts, emotions and actions.
  4. Heaven and hell are two post-mortem states of the soul that differ in polarity.

One of the famous treatises of the last century indicates that death is the beginning of the journey. Many people do not understand this statement, because the concept implies completion. In this case, its meaning lies in the continued existence of the soul. She goes to another world. The idea that this is Paradise is erroneous. Previously, the soul fleetingly passes through those places where a person felt happy.

The subtle world of the subconscious is a plane that exists forever. Ordinary people cannot visit it. All the habits and desires of a person, his characteristics, are preserved here. The soul of the deceased finds peace anywhere. She remains faithful to her owner indefinitely.

A Practical Exercise for Soul Search

Having taken a comfortable position, close your eyes and mentally ask your subconscious: “Where is my soul?” Hands are intuitively placed on the place where the etheric substance feels located. Then, recall in as much detail as possible any memory that evoked strong emotions, good or bad. If the hands are in the right place, a picture-symbol will appear in the subconscious, which is a reflection of the person’s soul.

The images that have arrived indicate different stages of soul development:

  1. Crystal - the soul has accumulated enough experience and can endow a person with special qualities, making him a useful element of the universe.
  2. Flower - the soul is open to transformation, longs for change and new achievements.
  3. The bird is a mobile form of the soul, ready to realize practical goals.
  4. Humanoid form - she has many earthly reincarnations behind her.

The question of the existence of the soul never ceases to be the subject of heated debate between scientists and ordinary people, religious figures and psychics. Today the presence of a soul can only be confirmed indirectly, but the time is not far off when it will be possible to shed the light of truth on this issue.

What does the personality state say?

Everyone feels differently. When a person is healthy and joyful, he wants to live. But it happens that he is depressed, the personality does not leave the feeling of emptiness and anxiety. These are dangerous signs. This condition can be explained by the fact that the soul is sick. While the body can be healed quickly, the soul cannot be healed quickly. Many even claim that it is incurable.

The soul reacts when a person turns away from the true path and loses faith in himself. She will give the person a hint. If everything is done correctly, then the spiritual component will triumph. Regardless of whether a person believes in the existence of the soul, one must be able to control and notice one’s impulses.

The emotional state of the soul is influenced by 2 factors.

  1. Nature – gives the soul emotions through the 5 senses. A person experiences them when he perceives various forms of the world - its sounds, colors, aromas. Nature has direct contact with the sensory organs.
  2. The surrounding society also affects the emotional state of the soul. People use words to create their emotions. The process involves the central nervous system and the brain - a kind of instrument that leads the human soul to a different state.

Where is a person's soul located?

Or does the soul not exist at all? Even Joseph Vissarionich Stalin, at one time, was interested in this question. And he once asked it to the Simferopol Archbishop Luke:

“Do you, being a famous and famous doctor, really believe in the existence of the soul?”

The doctor answered in the affirmative and without a shadow of a doubt. To which Stalin objected:

“Did you find it during an operation in a human body?”

Naturally, the surgeon replied that he did not find her there... This gave the great helmsman reason to doubt again:

“How, then, can one believe that the soul exists?”

“Do you believe, Joseph Vissarionovich, for example, that a person has a conscience?..” - Luka (aka Valentin Voino-Yasnetsky) asked his interlocutor, in turn.

Stalin fell silent, thought for a while, then said: “I believe.” The famous surgeon's answer was truly magnificent:

“I also did not find conscience in the bodies of the patients I operated on.”

This funny story can be quoted, recalled, interpreted in some way... but its essence does not change. The fact remains: not everything that exists in the Universe can be seen or touched. But this does not make the existence of subtle matters any less convincing.

Nevertheless, regardless of the very different views existing on this topic, there is unconditional scientific evidence in the world of the fact of the existence of mental substance, and in this sense, scientists have managed to unravel the mystery of the human soul.

Aura

The existence of the aura has been debated for a long time. And now there are opponents of the theory. Adherents of the theory speak of it as a certain component of the soul. By aura we mean a real biofield in the form of luminous multi-colored rays. There are devices that can detect them. The color intensity, direction, and density of the aura depend on the emotional and physical state of a person.

Personal behavior can strengthen a person’s biofield. Following this, your health will improve. It is worth watching your actions, because it is also possible to destroy the aura. You need to think correctly.

There is a concept of “phantom pain”. For example, a person’s arm is amputated, and he experiences pain in the place where it was. Many believe that the aura of the missing limb remains, which causes unpleasant feelings.

Is reincarnation possible?

There is no scientific proof of reincarnation after the death of the soul into another body. Many consider the belief in resettlement to be a pseudoscientific delusion. In a study of children who had memories of a past life, the following general characteristics of cases were put forward:

  • the child’s stories begin at the age of 2-3 years and end after 7 years - he no longer remembers them;
  • cases are more often recorded in countries where they believe in reincarnation;
  • the descriptions relate to recent events and areas in which the baby lives, and not to remote regions.

But there is another point of view, according to which reincarnation is possible. Many sessions of regression hypnosis were conducted. The patients' memories were compared with real events. The experiment is carried out not only for children, but also for adults. Many coincidences of stories with reality have been recorded.

The soul is the key to the memory of the past

So, everything that a person lives and feels, the soul records in the archives of memory. It is in the soul that the events of all past lives are stored, everything that has happened to it since creation. And even more. When connected to the body, the soul absorbs everything that is recorded and stored in the ancestral memory.

We remind you that ancestral memory is transmitted along with genes. As the embryo matures and grows, the soul gradually “pumps” the ancestral memory files into its storage and places them there.

☝️The space of the soul is a large library that stores the memory of past incarnations, everything that happens to the soul in the space between lives and ancestral experience is the memory of all people who lived in the family.
