Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky
During his lifetime, this saint was elected bishop of the Cypriot city of Trimifunt and became famous for praying for the poor and suffering. They said that during all the severe droughts in Cyprus, only thanks to the prayers of the priest Spyridon, the hot days ended and the rains began, the peasants were able to reap the harvest and not fall into poverty and hunger. With his prayer and power, the bishop punished the merciless and greedy traders of bread, wine and fish, saving poor Cypriots from bondage and death.

Saint John the Merciful
