Newborns and young children are believed to be especially susceptible to unclean and negative influences. Who can protect them besides their parents? Only parents protect their children, protecting them from harm and aggression not only physically, but also spiritually. Therefore, it wouldn’t hurt for every mother to know how to wash her child with holy water against the evil eye and other ways to combat negative influences. In addition, the evil eye is the most common trouble that happens to babies. Therefore, let us help our children with prayer and holy water.

The healing power of holy water

Parents often face a situation when a calm child begins to scream and cry for no apparent reason, his sleep is disturbed, or other unpleasant symptoms arise. However, age-related changes are not always the cause of problems. A situation often arises when one of the strangers has jinxed the baby. This is not always intentional. If a guest with strong energy communicates with a child, he can disrupt his weak biofield.

The younger the child, the higher the risk that he will be jinxed. The following signs indicate this:

  • The child constantly cries for no apparent reason. He may lose his appetite, does not calm down and throws tantrums.
  • The child is often sick. At the same time, his temperature constantly rises to significant levels.
  • The baby's sleep is disturbed. He may have somnambulism or sleep problems. The child may wake up and cry in the middle of the night. At the same time, it will not react to anything.
  • The child experiences increased anxiety and irritability.
  • The baby may have a state of apathy and weakness.
  • The child refuses to eat all the time and experiences nausea. Sometimes there is even vomiting.

Even relatively adult children often cannot understand what exactly is happening to them. Children experience hysterics and constant crying. If a child has at least several signs, you should not hesitate. The sooner you start cleansing from the evil eye, the faster the baby will recover.

In such a situation, holy water will help. It is a unique elixir that has pronounced healing properties. It is not for nothing that this liquid is called God's grace. The power of holy water has been used for centuries. Thus, Epiphany water was considered the most powerful in this regard. It was collected for the great church holiday in reserve to be used throughout the whole year.

Currently, you can get water from the church. Under the influence of prayer, it changes its structure. Thanks to this, the substance gains powerful strength.

Signs of the evil eye in a child

How to understand that a child has been jinxed? Usually the evil eye manifests itself in tearfulness, fever, the child begins to mischief, loss of appetite, sleep disturbance, and nightmares may begin. All of the above should be a wake-up call for the baby’s parents, especially if a visit to the pediatrician did not reveal the cause of the illness.

Most often, the evil eye appears after communicating with other people, therefore, especially in the first months of life, strangers are not allowed to see the baby. Also, the evil eye can be superimposed on the photo, because almost every modern parent has their own account on social networks, where they often post family photos.

If you notice signs of the evil eye and damage, do not despair, a very good way to remove negativity from a little person will help you - washing away the evil eye. We will talk about how to wash a child from the evil eye below.

How to properly wash an unbaptized child

Even if the baby has not yet been baptized, he can still be washed with holy water.

The fact is that every person is allowed to touch what the Lord God left for people.

If the baby's face gets dirty, it is recommended to wash it with plain water. Holy water is not suitable for hygiene procedures. To rid your baby of negative energy, just take a little holy liquid into your palm and gently rinse his face. It is important to try not to splash the composition.

This procedure can be accompanied by a prayer to the Lord, which the mother will read over the child. If parents do not yet know how to pray correctly, they can simply ask God for mercy for their baby.

If parents believe that holy water can rid the child of the evil eye, they can wash him. Moreover, this must be done from right to left. After which it is recommended to wipe the baby with the hem of his mother’s dress.

Of course, a young child cannot know about the miraculous properties of holy water. Therefore, all decisions are made for him by his parents. They are also responsible for any manipulations that are carried out with the child.

Many parents carry out the washing procedure 3 times a day for 3 days in a row. At the same time, they additionally light 3 candles. Belief in such rituals has its roots in the pagan Slavic past. It has nothing to do with real faith in God. Priests do not recommend reading conspiracies or performing pagan rituals using holy water.

How to wash a baby from the evil eye

Sacred water has truly unique properties, but it should only be used with all incense. There are several methods for eliminating illness in infants using water (we described one above). It is also worth noting that it is not recommended to completely bathe the baby. The clergy say that there is simply no need for this, because simply washing is enough.

So, method 2 will tell you how to wash away the evil eye with matches:

  • Take 1 glass of holy water and a new box of matches;
  • We leave only 9 matches in the box (exactly 9, no more, no less);
  • The ritual must be performed when it gets dark;
  • We sit opposite the child;
  • We take out a match, light it and read a prayer, looking at the child;

Blessed Elder, Matrona of Moscow. I may torment my soul in doubt, but I save a child from the evil eye. Forgive me my sins and confusion, bring zeal towards Orthodoxy. You always help with illnesses, you heal us in desperate pain. Help me to heal now, just like drinking oil and water. Let the evil eye evaporate from the child, and let grace settle in the soul. Thy will be done. Amen.

  • As soon as the fire reaches your fingers, throw the match into the glass;
  • We take the next match and continue reading the prayer book;
  • We repeat all 9 times.

Further, based on the matches, we draw conclusions:

  • If all the matches lie on the surface of the water, there was no evil eye at all;
  • If 4-5 pieces (relatively half) ended up at the bottom, there was a disease, but you got rid of it. To be on the safe side, you can perform the ceremony the next day;
  • If all the matches have sunk, the evil eye is very strong. Perform the ritual 3-5 times.

After the ceremony, the child needs to be given a drink and washed with holy water.

May the Lord protect you!

Note

No spells can be uttered while performing the ritual. They will make the ritual pagan. In the Orthodox religion this is considered a sin. It is allowed to read only the texts of prayers.

It is also recommended to take into account that holy water cannot be used for hygienic purposes. It is not sprinkled on domestic animals. If there is a need to pour the composition, it is prohibited to do this into the sink or toilet. It is recommended to pour the liquid onto the ground near the house. It is best to choose a secluded place where people do not walk.

Using holy water for washing is considered a beneficial cleansing ritual that can be performed for children of any age. At the same time, you should not allow the child to be jinxed. To do this, you should follow the following rules:

  • Baptize a newborn baby 40 days after birth. It is important to choose righteous godparents.
  • Place a blessed cross on the child.
  • Attach a bright button or pin to your clothing. These items will be able to distract the eyes of strangers from the baby’s face.
  • Place an icon or amulet over the baby's crib.
  • Do not allow your child to take sweets from strangers.
  • Do not take photographs of a sleeping baby and do not post photos of him on the Internet.
  • After your baby is in crowded places, wash his face with water.
  • Read prayers to your child and accustom him to church rituals.
  • Take your child to church.

In addition to washing the baby’s face with holy water, it is recommended to consecrate the home. The family hearth and children's rooms should be sprinkled with holy water. This will help create a fertile atmosphere and help cleanse the space of negativity.

In order for a guardian angel to be constantly present near the baby and protect him from troubles and misfortunes, it is worth introducing him to church laws from an early age. Calmness and maternal love are considered a powerful amulet against the negative energy of others.

It is important to consider that washing with holy water will not give the desired effect if the adult who performs the ceremony does not repent and cleanse himself. Only healing of the soul through faith will help remove all bodily illnesses.

It is possible to wash an unbaptized baby with holy water. This will help protect him from the negative energy of strangers and the evil eye. However, for more powerful protection, the child should be baptized in the church within 40 days after birth.

Unbaptized child and holy water

Hello, dear Anastasia!

The Bible doesn't really talk about holy water. The water that people take from churches and temples is purified with silver. You can also clean it at home if you have silver items made of pure silver without any impurities, such as antique spoons, coins or other items that have a hallmark from the manufacturer. This water can be used everywhere, for washing, cooking, and so on.

The fact that your baby is not baptized does not mean that God does not love her. Because God loves her and knew about her conception even before you knew about it. This is what he himself says about this through his Word, the Bible: “For You (God) formed my inward parts, and knitted me together in my mother’s womb. My bones were not hidden from You when I was created in secret, formed in the depths of the womb. Your eyes have seen my embryo; in your book are written all the days appointed for me, when not one of them was yet” (Psalm 139:13,15,16). As we see from these verses, even the life of an unborn child is precious in the eyes of God. Knowing this, the psalmist praised God: “I praise You, because I am wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works, and my soul is fully aware of it” (Psalm 139:14).

You can also give honor and glory to God for your life and for the lives of all your loved ones, because God is worthy (Revelation 4:11). You can and should teach your daughter the requirements of God, God gave you this command: “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength. And let these words, which I command you today, be in your heart. And teach them to your children, and talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7). Please note that you need to instruct your children and teach them the commandments of God constantly, from infancy. This is the only way our children will be able to know and fulfill these requirements. And their happiness, and our happiness too, depends on fulfilling these requirements out of a desire to please parents and God. After all, if children are happy, then parents are happy too. Subsequently, when the child grows up, he himself will personally decide whether to be baptized or not. Because baptism means a desire to serve God, and a person must make this decision voluntarily and consciously. All of these requirements of God are recorded in the Bible. And the Bible is God's point of view, given to us in writing for our instruction, training, and correction (2 Timothy 3:16,17).

The Bible says on this matter: “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not grievous” (1 John 5:3). And the Bible also says about what we need to do to be pure in the eyes of God: “If we walk in the light, just as He (GOD) walked in the light (the light of truth from the Word of God), then we have fellowship with one another. friend, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). And, as we have noted, by knowing and living the truth from God's Word, we will have a friendly relationship with God and His son Jesus Christ. And, therefore, it is not the water in which we are baptized that cleanses us from our sins, but the blood of Jesus shed for us! I wish you success in raising your baby and in your family life. If you have any questions, write, I will be happy to answer them based on the Bible.

With respect to you, Lyubov Alekseevna.
