He, seeing the cramped space in it, built a temple on the top of the Pechers Mountain, and built cells, and enclosed a fence, and so a monastery was built in Your name, Lady, in which monastics and faithful people hurried to God for You: Alleluia.

Ikos 4

Hearing the monks of Pecherstia, like robbers who want to stain Your temple, Most Pure One, I pray to You for his salvation. But You, the All-Merciful One, created a miracle: You showed Your temple hanging in the air, and seeing the robbers, you ran away in horror, and the foreigners hurried like this: Rejoice, for You have planted a spiritual garden on Mount Kiev; Rejoice, for you have provided those who live there with everything they need. Rejoice, who gathered us from the sinful world, Rejoice, who brought us into the fence of the Pechersk monastery. Rejoice, protector of us from visible enemies; Rejoice, protector of us from invisible adversaries. Rejoice, Most Holy Theotokos Virgin, Pechora praise and our consolation.

Kontakion 5

The God-bearing star of the world appeared to the Lady when she wanted to build the Pechersk monastery for herself in Rus'. You indicated the place where there would be a temple in Your name with a fiery arc extending from the old monastery, and Angels in the form of monks in the air were coming there, even when the monks of Pecherstia saw them, they hurried a joyful song: Alleluia.

Ikos 5

Having seen the Greek stone-making youths in Constantinople, commanding them to go to the Blachernae temple to the Queen, they came and saw You sitting there in glory, the faces of the warriors and the monks Anthony and Theodosius standing with You, and I commanded them to go to the Russian land in the city of Kiev, and build temple in Your name, I presented them with the icon of Your glorious Dormition and the relics of the holy martyrs. They hurriedly heard the commandment: Rejoice, Queen of heaven and earth, Rejoice, true Mother of our Savior. Rejoice, you who saved the entire race of fallen Adam; Rejoice, invincible Voevodo of the Orthodox faith. Rejoice, unashamed patroness of Constantinople; Rejoice, and the Russian country, zealous Intercessor. Rejoice, Most Holy Theotokos Virgin, Pechora praise and our consolation.

Kontakion 6

The preachers of Your miraculous appearance in the Blachernae Church of Greek stone-building came to Kyiv to the monks Anthony and Theodosius, presenting them with the icon of Your Dormition and the relics of the holy martyrs, and telling them Your will about the creation of a temple in Your name; Hearing their words, they worshiped Your image depicted on the icon and cried out to God: Alleluia.

Ikos 6

The icon of Your Dormition has risen like the sun, the Most Holy Virgin has brought stone-building from Constantinople to the Pechersk monastery, where it remains to this day, giving healing, crying out to You like this: Rejoice, you who do not leave us in Your Assumption; Rejoice in helping us through Your icon. Rejoice, having glorified the Pechersk monastery with Your icon; Rejoice, having illuminated the Pechersk Mountain with Your icon. Rejoice, saving the city of Kyiv with Your icon; Rejoice, protecting the entire Russian land with the same icon. Rejoice, Most Holy Virgin Mary, Pechersk praise and our consolation.

Kontakion 7

Desiring to build a new monastery and in it a temple in Thy name, Most Blessed Virgin, Reverends Anthony and Theodosius, praying to Thy Son Christ our God and to Thee, that they may know the place on which the temple was built, and the Lord decreeed that place: it should be throughout the whole earth dew, and then dry land; and again there was dry land everywhere, but in the place of the temple there was dew, and fire was sent from heaven and it burned all the courage and the dew licked and built the valley. The venerable people, together with the faithful people there, fell to the ground and cried out in fear: Alleluia.

Ikos 7

Fathers Anthony and Theodosius began to build a new temple, like heaven, after their death, the Monk Stephen passed away and moved the brethren from the old monastery to the new one. Blessed Nikon wonderfully decorated the icons with gold and silver; Having gathered in faith, I glorified Thee, Mother of God, the Mother of God: Rejoice, Thou hast wonderfully called the Varangian Simon to Thy monastery; Rejoice, with the belt they brought you indicated the size of Your temple. Rejoice, you gave gold for the construction of Your temple through the Greeks; Rejoice, you invisibly contributed to the creation of Your temple. Rejoice, builder of the Pechersk Lavra; Rejoice, decorator of her temples. Rejoice, Most Holy Virgin Mary, Pechersk praise and our consolation.

Kontakion 8

A strange miracle appeared when I was decorating Your temple, O Most Pure Mossie, then in the altar on the wall Your image itself was depicted to the Monk Alypius from the icon painter, and it became more luminous than the sun. And behold, from the mouth of Your image, O Most Holy One, a white dove took flight, and flew to the image of the Savior, and to another image written in the temple, and again flew to the image of the Savior and flew into His mouth and hid there. Even when the Greek icon painters saw the Greeks, they died in Your abode, their relics were placed in caves, and their souls settled in heaven, where the Angels glorify You, and they call Your Son: Alleluia.

Ikos 8

The whole temple of heaven, like shining from Your Pechersk icon, God-chosen Virgin, saw the blessed Zechariah, and came to him for protection from You, asking when his lender Sergius did not want to give him the gold and silver left to him by his father. You, Lady, sent an Angel to punish the perjurer; Seeing Zechariah, he left the world, came to the Pechersk monastery, lived in it until the end of his days, singing to You: Rejoice, Most Honest of all creatures in the Universe; Rejoice, village of the Sweetest Jesus. Rejoice, holy Cover of our life; Rejoice, gracious consolation of our sorrow. Rejoice, all our hope and peace; Rejoice, according to God, our hope in earthly life. Rejoice, Most Holy Virgin Mary, Pechersk praise and our consolation.

Kontakion 9

Having rejected all wisdom, we will be amazed at Your miracle, Mother of God, when the time has come for the consecration of Your Church, a stone board was invisibly brought to the Throne by Angels; in the image of young men the saints were called together for its consecration, just as the Apostles of Christ were assembled for Thy Burial. Saint John, the monks of Pechersk and all the people, seeing this, glorified You, Most Pure One, joyfully celebrating the feast of consecration, singing a song to God: Alleluia.

Ikos 9

The many-pronounced events cannot praise Your miracles, O Theotokos, performed in the monastery of the Pechers, especially during the founding, creation and consecration of the temple in honor of Your glorious Dormition; and now do not leave us, unworthy of Your children, preserve Your abode, so that we cry out to You: Rejoice, for God the Father Himself has designated the dry land for the place of the temple; Rejoice, for Your Son, who descended like dew onto the fleece into Your womb, in the same place let down the dew. Rejoice, for the Holy Spirit sent fire from heaven to destroy the site of the temple; Rejoice, for God the Father has depicted Your image invisibly on the altar. Rejoice, as God the Son, Sun of righteousness, fill Your church with radiance; Rejoice, for the Holy Spirit appeared in Your temple with the vision of a dove flying from the mouth of the image. Rejoice, Most Holy Virgin Mary, Pechersk praise and our consolation.

Kontakion 10

Though I might save my soul, Saint Alypius, I came to Your monastery, Mother of God, and there became a skilled icon painter, through whom she became famous, Bride of God; The icons they painted were miraculous, shining brighter than the sun, Netius painted the Angels icons and became famous for many other miracles. From them, even to this day, Netia has been preserved, exuding miracles to those who glorify You and cry out to God: Alleluia.

Ikos 10

A strong wall and intercession appeared to You, Lady, of Your new monastery of Svensk, when Prince Roman asked the monks of Pechora to release the miraculous icon, painted by the Monk Alypius, for healing from blindness. When those swimming with Your icon landed on the shore, Your icon was invisibly found on a mountain on a tree; Having found it in the south, Prince Roman received insight in his own eyes, creating a monastery there, gathering monks and, together with them, crying out to You like this: Rejoice, you who glorified Your icons with miracles; Rejoice, you glorified the Pechersk Lavra with them. Rejoice, you also loved the new monastery of Svensk; Rejoice, for in it you showed your miraculous icon. Rejoice, you showed wondrous and great miracles from her; Rejoice, you have given healing to all who ask You, through Your icon. Rejoice, Most Holy Virgin Mary, Pechersk praise and our consolation.

Even if sometimes you allowed it to be ruined and be a sin for our sakes, yet again you raised it up even more splendidly, and abounded with earthly gifts to its inhabitants and enriched it with gifts of grace, crying out to Ty: Rejoice, who protects us with the icon of Your Dormition; Rejoice, covering us with Your miraculous image. Rejoice, Who gives us healing through Your Pechersk icon; Rejoice, covering us with Your Sven image. Rejoice, you who visited the capital city of Moscow with the Pechersk icon; Rejoice, and you who illuminated the city of Yaroslavl with your icon. Raise us from sinful sleep, save Thy Lavra and us unworthy Thy children, grant us to live in the fence of the Pechersk monastery until the end of our days, and glorify Thee and Thy Son, Christ our God, singing to Him: Alleluia.

Ikos 12

Singing Your mercies and miracles revealed in the monastery of the Pechers from ancient times to the present day, we bow before Your image, by which You save us, and all those who call upon You for help and cry out to You: Rejoice, you who reveal the triumph of the Orthodox faith in the Lavra of the Pechers; Rejoice, inflaming human hearts with Bose’s love. Rejoice, Pechersk Mountain, for having glorified the second Sinai; Rejoice, Thy icons, who have shown you as preachers of salvation. Rejoice, you who look down on us from heavenly heights; Rejoice, thou who instruct us in good deeds. Rejoice, Most Holy Theotokos, Pechersk praise and your consolation.
