How to read prayer and akathist correctly
Prayers addressed to the intercessor are said every day. But it is recommended to read the akathist at least once a week. Reading takes 30 to 40 minutes. During this period of time, you need to fully concentrate on the text. The literal translation of the name is “unsaddled,” which means that the anthem is sung while standing. After the main text, a special prayer is said dedicated to the intercessor.

A troparion is a short chant that precedes the text. After the end of the troparion, 13 consecutive kontakia and 12 ikos are sung.
Angel of God, my holy guardian, keep my life in the fear of Christ God, confirm my mind in the true path,

The role of an Angel in people's lives
A Guardian Angel is given to everyone at baptism and protects their soul and body for the rest of their lives. If only a person prayerfully turns to his intercessor, he will always listen, help and guide him on the right path.
Angels cannot be seen or heard , but their role in the life of humanity is enormous. Without their protectors, people would be mired in sins and tormented by devilish temptations. Even the intuition known to everyone is nothing more than a hint of the right decision by the Angel. In addition, they do the following for people:
- They are trying with all their might to guide them on the right path and make them happy;
- relentlessly follow a person, accompany him, teach him goodness and convey prayers to God;
- prevent dangerous situations;
- ask the Lord for forgiveness for the sins of people;
- protect from earthly enemies and demons;
- accompanied at the time of death.
