This prayer is the most powerful defense against enemies
No comments.
I don't believe there are real atheists. Do you know why? Because even the most convinced skeptic, getting into trouble or being in mortal danger, begins to shout: “Lord, help!”
I once found myself in a situation where I didn’t know which way to run or who to ask for help. And then, one evening, my feet themselves led me to the church. On the rubble next to her sat a small, gray-haired Father and quietly watched the sunset.
He listened to me in silence, then got up, went into the church and brought me out a small black book. “Here, daughter, this is the strongest help and protection.”
“Psalter?” I looked up at him in surprise. “And only him!” the elder answered confidently. “These prayers are the most powerful weapon on Earth and there is nothing stronger and never will be! They help a person in any trouble. You just need to know which psalter to read for which need. You need Psalm 34. Go and read every day, all your enemies will regret that they decided to ruin your life.”
And you know, I started reading, and after a week all my troubles receded in such a strange way, as if my problems were no longer bothered by me and they decided to forget about me. Now my Psalter is always in a visible place at home, and I know which psalm to read for which trouble. Well, if you don’t believe me, then try it yourself. I’ll write for you the one that saved me.
Psalm 34
Judge, O Lord, those who judge me! And defeat those who fight with me! Take Your weapon and shield, and come to my aid! Raise your sword and block the path of those who pursue me! Tell my soul: “I am your salvation.” Let him who seeks my soul be put to shame. Let the one who planned evil against me turn back and be covered with dishonor.
Let my enemies become like gunpowder before the wind. And let the angel of the Lord drive them away. May their road be dark and slippery, and may the angel of the Lord drive them far! Because they laid secret snares on me and dug a hole for my innocent soul.
Let destruction come to them unexpectedly. And let them themselves fall into the net that they set on me. And let them fall into that pit to their destruction. And my soul will rejoice in the Lord, will be comforted by salvation from Him. All my bones will say: “Lord, who is like you? You rescue the weak from the strong. The poor and wretched - from their oppressors. Untruthful witnesses stood up against me. They ask me about things I don't know about. They return evil to me for good. They made my soul an orphan.
But when they were sick, I dressed myself in clothes of sorrow, humbled my soul with fasting, and my prayer for them was from the heart. Like for a friend, or for my brother, I was killed, sad and cried, like for my mother. And they rejoice at my misfortune, gather together and think about how to increase my wounds. They scold me, I don’t know why: they mock me, grind their teeth at me.
God! How long will you look at this? Take my soul away from crime, save my lonely soul from the lions! I will praise You in Great Assemblies, among many nations I will praise You! Let not those who fight me for nothing rejoice, let not those who hate me without guilt look at each other with their eyes. They do not talk about peace, but plot evil against peaceful lands.
They open their mouths against me and slander: “It’s true, it’s true, our eyes have seen!” You saw it, Lord. Do not be silent! Lord, don't leave me. Arise, Lord, and judge my case, intercede for my righteousness, my Lord and my God!
Judge me, Lord, according to Your righteousness, so that they do not magnify themselves over me. So that they don’t say in their hearts: “This is what we wanted!” So that they don’t say: “We ate it!” Let those who rejoice at my misfortune be ashamed and covered with shame. Let those who oppose me be ashamed and covered with shame.
And let him who sympathizes with my truth rejoice and be glad. And let them always say: “How great is the Lord that He desires rest for His servant!” And my tongue will proclaim Your righteousness and glorify You until the end of my days.”
St. Basil the Great also said: “A psalm is a refuge from demons, entry under the protection of Angels, a weapon in night insurance, repose from daytime labors, safety for babies, decoration in a blooming age, consolation for the elderly, the most decent decoration for wives.”
So, take advantage, good people, and be healthy.
Psalm 88 read:
1 Mind of Etham the Israelite, psalm
2 I will sing of Your mercies, O Lord, forever; I will proclaim Your truth with my mouth to generation and generation. 3 Thou hast said before: mercy shall be established forever, Thy truth shall be prepared in Heaven. 4 I have made a covenant with my chosen ones, I have sworn to David my servant: 5 I will prepare your seed forever, and I will build your throne for generations and generations. 6 The heavens will confess Your wonders, O Lord, for Your truth is in the church of saints. 7 For who in the clouds can be equal to the Lord? Will he become like the Lord in the sons of God? 8 God is glorified in the council of saints, Great and Terrible above all those around Him. 9 Lord God of hosts, who is like You? You are strong, Lord, and Your truth is around You. 10 You rule over the power of the sea; you calm the disturbance of its waves. 11 Thou hast humbled the wounds of the proud, Thou hast squandered the arm of Thy strength upon Thy enemies. 12 The heavens are Yours, and the earth is Yours, You founded the world and its fulfillment. 13 You created the north and the sea; Tabor and Hermon will rejoice in Your name. 14 Thy arm is with strength: let Thy hand be strengthened, and Thy right hand be exalted. 15 Truth and destiny are the preparation of Your throne: mercy and truth will come before You. 16 Blessed are the people who cry: Lord, in the light of Your face they will walk, 17 And in Your name they will rejoice all the day, and in Your righteousness they will be exalted. 18 For Thou art the praise of their strength, and in Thy favor shall our horn be exalted. 19 For the Lord is the intercessor of our Holy King of Israel. 20 Then Thou didst say in the vision of Thy son, and Thou didst say: Thou hast put help upon the mighty One, and lifted up the chosen one from My people, 21 I have found David My servant by My holy oil. I anointed him. 22 For My hand will protect him, and My arm will strengthen him, 23 Nothing will the enemy be able to do against him, and the son of iniquity will not try to embitter him: 24 And I will cut off from his face his enemies, even those who hate him. I will defeat him. 25 And My truth and My mercy will be with him, and in My name his horn will be exalted, 26 And I will place his hand on the seas, and his right hand on the rivers. 27 He will call upon Me: Thou art my Father, my God and the Protector of my salvation. 28 And I will make him his firstborn, high above the kings of the earth: 29 I will keep my mercy for him forever, and my covenant is faithful to him, 30 and I will set his seed for ever and ever, and his throne is I to the day of heaven. 31 If his sons forsake My law and do not walk in My judgments, 32 If they defile My righteousness and do not keep My commandments, 33 I will visit them with the rod of their iniquity and with the stripes of iniquity. them, 34 but I will not destroy My mercy from them, nor will I destroy it My truth, 35 I will profane My covenant, and those who proceed from My mouth will not refuse. 36 I have sworn one oath on My Holy One, lest I lie to David? 37 His seed will endure forever, and his throne is like the sun before Me, 38 and like the moon is perfect forever, and a faithful witness in heaven. 39 But You rejected and humiliated You, You were indignant at Your anointed One, 40 You destroyed the covenant of Your servant, You desecrated His sanctuary on earth: 41 You destroyed all His strongholds , you put his fear firmly in place. 42 He was plundered by all who passed by, and became a reproach to his neighbors. 43 You have exalted the right hand of those who afflicted him, you have made all his enemies glad: 44 You have turned away the help of his sword, and have not stood up for him in battle. 45 Thou didst destroy him from the purification, thou didst cast his throne to the earth, 46 thou didst diminish the days of his time, thou didst cover him with cold. 47 How long, O Lord, do you turn away from the end? Will Your anger be kindled like fire? 48 Remember what my composition is, for you created all the sons of men in vain? 49 Who is the man who, if he lives and does not see death, will deliver his life out of the hand of hell? 50 Where is the essence of Your mercies of old, O Lord, in which You swore to David in Your truth? 51 Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, who have kept many tongues in my bosom, 52 Who have reproached Your enemies, O Lord, who have reproached the change of Your Christ. 53 Blessed be the Lord forever, be, be.

What psalms help lift a curse?
Curses or damage are a strong impact on a person, which is guaranteed to bring only harm. Sometimes its effect is so strong that death occurs. As a rule, people do not practice magic spells on their own, but resort to the help of professionals. It should be noted that such unkind actions will be carried out not by a Christian with a good soul, but by an evil person who cannot find a place for himself out of black envy.
For many centuries, psalms against curses and damage have been reliable protection against negative magical effects. There are not many of them in the Gospel. But if you read them regularly in accordance with all the recommendations, they will help everyone who needs it. And so what texts of the holy letter are usually read in cases related to magic:
- Psalm 49 This is the first text belonging to Asaph. According to history, this holy man was one of the first to sing religious songs and hymns. He was a Jewish and prophetic musician. This text talks about God's terrible judgment that will happen in the near future. During the trial, the Almighty will judge all Christian believers according to two main criteria: the presence of sincere faith and attitude towards their neighbor. The lyrics of the song call on all believers to change their attitude towards faith. The Prophet asked all people to change their attitude towards sincere faith and pay more attention to feat.
- Psalm 53 It was written during the reign of the prophet David. This text has a deep essence that reveals the idea of the true innocence of the king before Saul. The Tsar did nothing to create a coup d'état. He did not want to deliberately move the then king to take his place. In ancient times, it was customary to read this text in situations where it was necessary to free slaves from the hands of slave owners. This psalm is used against evil people and corruption.
- Psalm 58 This prayer was also written by King David. It was written in very difficult life situations. The reason for writing the text was the situation when the Israeli king tried to kill David in order to remove his competitor and take his throne. If the song is read regularly, it can protect a Christian from evil troubles and magical influences.
- Psalm 63. It was written by David at a time when his son was organizing a rebellion to remove his father from office and take his throne. In the text of the prayer, a special place is occupied by words about the slander that the enemies leveled against the king. Most often, the text of the psalm is read when faced with situations of betrayal and slander. In ancient times, the text was also read when bitten by rabid animals.
- Psalm 90. This text is one of the most popular in Orthodoxy. Many regard it as some kind of conspiracy. Actually this is not true. The main essence of the prayer is that whoever reads the holy hymn will receive understanding and protection. Clergymen recommend its use in the most dangerous situations.
- Psalm 130 from corruption and sorcerers. This text reveals the theme of persecution of the king with the aim of removing him from the throne. It talks about enemies. The author describes all the actions taken by enemies, who were good friends just yesterday, to take his reigning position.

It is up to each Christian to decide which psalm to read against corruption. They all have a strong effect and protection. Of course, it would be ideal to read them all regularly and daily. But if this is not possible and there is not enough time, then it is allowed to use one or more texts of the holy letter.
Indestructible Psalter from corruption
The Indestructible Psalter is one of the types of church prayer, which is read by monks only in churches. It is called that because it is carried out around the clock without interruption. The abbot of the monastery makes a list indicating which monk will pray and at what time. Next to the Psalter there are two more books, in one the names of living people are written, in the other - those who have left this world. The monk reads information from the magazines and prays for everyone who ordered the indestructible Psalter. Only Christians baptized in the Orthodox Church can serve it. To do this, you need to go to church, confess, take communion, and there the priest will definitely listen to everything and tell you the further procedure for your actions.
Holy Scripture charges a person with positive energy. Saves and protects from misfortune, misfortune, malicious ill-wishers, pacifies, expels demons that have settled in the soul and body, and also gives peace.

Interpretation
The psalm was written by David, who acknowledges the will of the Lord and His authority over all things. In his speeches, he admits that he is not the only ruler of the earth who has been awarded the honor of being His chosen one. Many kings who recognized Him as the main one will receive the mercy of the Almighty and His love. An analysis of each verse will help you better understand the chant.
- Verse 1-5. The author remembers God and his good deeds. The king's faith was unshakable, for which he gained His love. The ruler has no doubt that in the future the power of the Almighty will extend to everyone, for He is preparing a righteous path for each of those living today. We can only guess to whom the psalmist reads his work. It is likely that the author allegorically refers to false gods who have no power, being created in the image of man.
- Verse 6-8. The righteous man is confident in his abilities, but he is more confident in the power of the Lord, who will bring harmony and happiness to the world. Godly people will be rewarded even if they are suffering now. The song provides comfort, but also gives hope for a return to joyful times. The hardship of life is only a prologue to entering the Kingdom of God.
History of writing
In the Hebrew editions of the Bible, Psalm 137 is signed with the name David. It is also signed in the Latin translation of the Bible by blessed Jerome (Vulgate) and in the translation of the seventy commentators (LXX), but with the addition of Zechariah and Jeremiah. This last circumstance indicates that Psalm 137 was read with reverence by the Jews during the lifetime of these prophets. The text does not indicate exactly when David wrote the prayer.
