Reverend Seraphim Vyritsky is one of the most revered Orthodox saints. He became a monk after the revolution ended. He was one of the representatives of strengthening the faith in the Leningrad region. In Orthodoxy, the saint is known as a miracle worker. The life story of Seraphim Vyritsky
In the village of Vakhromeevo, Rybinsk district, in 1866, a son, Vasily, was born to the peasants Nikolai and Khionia Muravyov. After baptism he will take the name Seraphim Vyritsky. The boy's parents were believers and lived righteously.
At the age of 10, the boy was left without a father, and the family without a breadwinner. Caring for his mother fell on Vasily’s shoulders. A pious fellow villager helped the boy get to St. Petersburg and get a job there as a delivery boy. The diligent and intelligent Vasily was noticed, and he began to quickly climb the career ladder, became an assistant clerk, then a clerk, and by the age of 17 he was already a senior clerk in the shops of Gostiny Dvor. Vasily sent his salary to his mother.
Despite the fact that the guy was good at entrepreneurship, he dreamed of joining a monastery. At the age of 14, Vasily met a visionary elder in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra and received instruction from him. The guy must remain in the world for a certain time and start a family. At the same time, he must engage in pious work, faithfully serve the Almighty. When the time comes, Vasily and his wife must devote their lives to monastic feat.
While working in a shop, the village boy taught himself to read and write. He met the pious Olga and married her. Love and mutual respect settled in their family. The family business gradually developed. Vasily traded furs and transported them to European countries. Prosperity was not his goal; he distributed most of his income to people in need. We also advise you to pray strongly for well-being in the family.
In 1917, when the revolution began in the country, Vasily Muravyov lost his business, and together with his wife he entered a monastery. When he was tonsured, he was given a name in honor of Saint Seraphim of Sarov and was assigned to deal with the treasury.
Seraphim-Vasily’s health began to fail. He moved to the Vyritsky monastery, which had better conditions for the elderly church minister who had fallen to his feet.
During the Great Patriotic War, despite poor health and oppression of churches by sweets, Seraphim Vyritsky, following the example of his son, prayed every day on a stone for victory.
His legs hurt a lot, and after the war Seraphim practically did not get out of bed. This did not stop him from receiving visitors, sometimes up to 100 people a day. He gave advice, consoled, suggested a way out of difficult situations. The main thing that Seraphim Vyritsky said is that prayer should be said by a believer, in joy there is gratitude, in trouble there is petition.
In recent years, the Lord has given Seraphim the gift of providence. He gave advice to many people based on what would happen to them tomorrow or in a few years. He predicted an increase in the number of atheists and people’s worship of wealth, passion for dissolute life.

Prayer to St. Seraphim Vyritsky
In difficult times, when a person cannot find a job or fears that he will not be able to cope with the assigned task, it is worth turning to someone who has become an example in his work and has achieved great heights.
