From the negative impact of black sorcerers and envious people, there is one strong ancient prayer of reprimand against all types of damage and witchcraft. This prayer has been tested for centuries, by our grandmothers and great-grandmothers... The power of prayer is many times stronger in quality than the Lord's Prayer and Psalm 90. If you decide to finally and forever get rid of damage, then you can read this prayer for at least one week...
PRAYER-REPORTANCE FROM ALL TYPES OF DAMAGE
In order to read the prayer, you will need to copy it onto a piece of white paper, with your own hand. Then, when you are alone, light a small wax church candle and read a prayer (if it is not possible to purchase a candle, read without a candle) ...
The best and most appropriate time for prayer is early in the morning, before sunrise. For some it’s 5 hours, for others it’s 6, it’s different for everyone. For this, be guided by your watch. It is very good to read the prayer when you are fasting on the water. At this time, the power of prayer increases many times over. Because during fasting, not only the body but also the soul is cleansed with the help of prayer. For good deliverance from damage and witchcraft, the prayer must be read for at least 7 days in a row.
Prayer of Ephraim the Syrian: do not give me the spirit of love of power or love of money?
Estimated reading time: 3 minutes.
We have already written about the prayer of Ephraim the Syrian, which is read in churches during Great Lent. In the last article we compared how a prayer in Russian differs from the text of a prayer in Greek. It turns out that instead of despondency in the list of sins from which in this prayer believers ask God for deliverance, among the Greeks there is busyness and fussiness. Therefore, in Greek the first part of the prayer sounds like this:
Lord and Master of my life, do not give me the spirit of idleness, overdoing, covetousness and idle talk.
It turns out quite logically and symmetrically: busyness or fussiness is the opposite of idleness, which is a harmful “distortion” in the other direction. Both idleness and excessive activity deprive a person of the opportunity to concentrate on the main thing, “the only thing needed.”
However, there are other interesting points associated with this famous prayer. The fact is that the version of it, which was in liturgical use before the schism, and which is still read by the Old Believers, also differs from today’s version, which is heard in our churches, and this is also connected with the ancient Greek language.
This is how the prayer of Ephraim the Syrian sounds among the Old Believers:
Lord and Master of my life, drive away the spirit of despondency, neglect, love of money and idle talk from me.
Grant the spirit of chastity, humility, patience and love to me, Your servant.
To her, Lord the King, grant me to see my sins, and not to condemn my brother, for blessed are you forever, amen.
In addition to the poetic “get rid of me” instead of “don’t give me”, in the place of the spirit of love of power in the Donikon version there is the spirit of love of money.
This is probably due to the fact that the ancient Greek words ἡ φιλαρχ ί α (philarhia) - “love of power”, “desire to excel” and ἡ φιλαργ ῠ ρ ί α (philarguria) - love of money - are very similar. The Old Believers chose the Greek text where ἡ φιλαργ ῠ ρ ί α .
Here again we get an interesting roll call of meanings if we compare the texts of the prayer of Ephraim the Syrian among the Old Believers and among us. It is known that many famous Russian entrepreneurs came from the Old Believer environment. There were generally a lot of wealthy Old Believers; their list was in no way limited to the Ryabushinskys and Morozovs.
The fact is that the Old Believers were forced to attach great importance to making capital and entrepreneurship, since money gave them the opportunity to at least somehow protect themselves from persecution by the authorities, gave them independence and support. By the way, they are characterized by a combination of devout piety and business acumen, similar to that which the sociologist M. Weber noted among the first Protestants. According to Weber, modern capitalism largely grew out of the spirit of the Protestant ethic. Paradoxically, this combination of deep religiosity and efficiency brought together such stubborn traditionalists as our Old Believers and early Protestants, who, on the contrary, were guided by the spirit of renewal and modernism in matters of faith. If the soul of Protestantism is anti-traditionalism, then the Old Believers made their foundation unconditional loyalty not only to the spirit, but also to the letter of “antiquity.”
One way or another, the Old Believers were much more businesslike and enterprising than the Christians of the official Church. And in the prayer of Ephraim the Syrian, they pray to “get rid of” the spirit of love of money that threatens them, as a temptation that is more obvious to them. Indeed, it would hardly occur to anyone to reproach them for their love of power.
At the same time, the Old Believers (and not only them) reproached the official Church, or, as they called it, “Nikonian,” and continue to reproach it for its lust for power, its desire to merge with the authorities, and its excessive nationalization. Whether these accusations are justified or not is a separate question. But, if we consider these two versions of the Russian-language text of the prayer of Ephraim the Syrian in the context of the schism of the 17th century, we get an interesting picture: everyone prays to God to deliver him from a sin that threatens or may threaten him more, due to the current historical situation.
Briefly about this prayer
This prayer was recently found in excavations in Israel. Before the text of the prayer it was written that people for many centuries have used this prayer in the fight against the devil’s machinations. In the old days, when they did not yet know how to cope with the aforementioned diseases and damage, they used this prayer. And the result was always good.
No one knows exactly how old the prayer itself is or who its author is. But that’s not the point, the main thing is that it helped very well, and helps many people who have been diagnosed with damage, witchcraft and black magic.
What is damage?
Damage is the deliberate infliction of harm using various occult methods, objects and special literature on black magic. Special magical rituals, spells, etc. are used... In this case, some things are also often used, clothes, hair or photos of the victim...

What spells can you do at home?
At home, it is possible to perform completely different rituals. To do this, it is enough to acquire the necessary paraphernalia and spells. It is worth considering that the house is also spiritually connected with us and natural forces, so it is recommended to practice white magic.
Unlike dark magic, it does not entail undesirable consequences, but ennobles and protects. The magic of good focuses on the divine spirit and nature. With its help, you can change your life without harming your family or others. Bright conspiracies and prayers help:
- Find love.
- Get rich.
- Restore health.
- Bring good luck.
- Protect yourself from enemies.
- Protect your home and family.
- Get rid of problems at work.
- Avert trouble.
White magic comes to the aid of those who really need it and believe in it with all their soul and heart. Without true, sincere faith, rituals will not work. Before you begin the ritual, you need to make sure that you really need it.
What do people talk about most often?
Since time immemorial, conspiracies and prayers have been considered a powerful force.
They save you from failures and problems. The power of the human word, like the power of thought, is practically limitless. We have all encountered cases when it was enough to think about something and it came true. But the magic of rituals only works if all instructions are strictly followed. It is important not to confuse or change anything, especially if this is not specified in the description of the ritual itself. Prayers also need to be performed as directed. Heaven will not accept a prayer uttered in haste without proper address. You should definitely thank us for your help. The prayer carries purification and liberation, so most often it is read at night for peace of mind. In addition, it can influence other points:
- For fear and anxiety;
- In difficult life situations;
- From diseases;
- To heal the soul;
- Against dark forces.
Among the objects that most often cast spells are amulets. Most often, it is recommended to throw away, burn or hide the enchanted things, less often - to keep them. The essence is the same - this object influences the ritual and the person performing it. The following are mainly subject to conspiracies:
- Pins,
- Shawls,
- Threads and laces
- Decorations,
- Coins,
- Sometimes personal items
- Water.
How prayer came to be
The prayer “Alive in Help” Psalm 90 is one of the most popular in the Psalter. Often, those who need very strong God's help, who have turned away from the right path or find themselves in a hopeless situation, resort to it. Many Orthodox Christians honestly call Psalm 90 a real talisman against almost all troubles and misfortunes that can befall the human race. This prayer takes its place of honor along with the “Our Father” and “Rejoice, Virgin Mary” revered in Christianity.
All prayer words that are aimed at saving the soul, the spiritual world of a person are very important. And “Live Help” is no exception. After all, the loss of spirituality is the “end” of life, then only existence.
There are two legends about the creation of this text:
- the first says that Moses himself wrote it;
- the second says that the author of the text is King David, who wrote it around the 9th-10th century BC.

What does the “Living Aid” prayer help with?
The uniqueness of the prayer also lies in the fact that it is revered not only in Orthodoxy, but also in other religions, one of which is Judaism.
According to the ancient Christian rule, it is advisable to always carry the sacred text with you: write it down on a piece of paper and fold it several times so that you can refer to it at any convenient time, thus protecting yourself and your loved ones from any danger. Some people prefer to write the words of prayer on a ribbon and tie it around their waist. This also serves as a true talisman.
In ancient times, when doctors refused to treat complex diseases, they also turned to these prayer words. They could relieve a simple headache or save you from the most terrible diseases.
In addition, such words can “attract” good luck in cases where everything goes awry. But it is worth remembering that this cannot be abused. You need to read them only if luck is necessary in given specific life circumstances and only it can save a certain situation.
Prayer to Saint Silouan of Athos
Every person turns to the saints in difficult moments of life. As a rule, when we pray to the icon, we ask others for help in various everyday situations, and even when arranging everyday needs. Of course, if a person asks for help with all the deep faith in his soul, and without doubt, then they will certainly receive salvation and peace.
Speaking about the saint, it is worth highlighting that people from all over the world come to the icon with the relics of St. Silouan of Athos, they pray to him and ask for healing in the following situations:
- For severe migraines,
- In order to cope with insurance,
- When there is division among believers,
- With insolence,
- with evil intentions,
- When despondent,
- To get rid of pride.
They also turn to the saint, asking for humility of heart, for those who are envious, for the reconciliation of those at war, when offenses are not forgiven, in perplexity as to what to do correctly.
We will describe the main prayers below. They must be read at the icon of the saint.
Prayer of Silouan of Athos, text
God, enlighten us with Your Holy Spirit, so that we all understand Your love. Those who ask me for prayers, for those I tearfully ask the Lord: “Lord, give them Your Holy Spirit, so that they may know You through the Holy Spirit. Merciful Lord, teach us all by Your Holy Spirit to live according to Your will, so that in Your Light we all come to know You, the true God, for without Your Light we cannot understand the fullness of Your love. Enlighten us with Your grace, and it will warm our hearts to love You.
Most merciful Master, grant us a humble spirit, so that our souls may find peace in You.” “Most Holy Mother of the Lord, ask, O Merciful One, for us a humble spirit. All saints, you live in heaven and see the glory of the Lord, and your spirit rejoices - pray that we too may be with you. My soul is also drawn to see the Lord and misses Him in humility, as unworthy of this good.”
“Merciful Lord, teach us Your humility by the Holy Spirit. Lord, correct us, as a tender mother corrects her little children. Let every soul know the joy of Your Coming and the power of Your help. Give coolness to the suffering souls of Your people, and teach us all through the Holy Spirit to know You. The human soul languishes on earth. Lord, even with his mind he cannot be strengthened in You, because he does not know You and Your goodness.”
“O Lord, teach us by Your Holy Spirit to be obedient and self-controlled. Give us the spirit of Adam's repentance and tears for our sins. May we praise and thank You forever. You gave us Your most pure body and blood, so that we could live with You forever, and be where You are, and see Your glory.”
“Lord, let the peoples of the whole earth know how much You love us and what a wonderful life You give to those who believe in You. Have mercy on me, O God, Thy fallen creation. How many times have You given me Your grace, and I have not kept it, because my soul is vain; but my soul knows You, the Creator and my God, and therefore I seek You, weeping, as Joseph wept for his father Jacob at the tomb of his mother[17], being taken into Egyptian slavery.
I offend You with my sins, and You leave me, and my soul misses You. O Holy Spirit, do not leave me. When You leave me, bad thoughts come to me and my soul misses You to the point of great tears.”

If you follow all these rules, then the effect of prayer will not be long in coming. But many clergy also claim that without true faith in the prayer of the person asking, nothing will happen. In addition, you should remember that you should not rely only on prayer. A person must make his own efforts so that what he wants and strives for happens, for the Lord helps those who know how to fight and believe.
Definition of the concept
Collective prayer in church during worship is a common thing. At this time, under the leadership of the priest, parishioners pray for the well-being of the flock and about pressing problems. However, there are cases when people who cannot gather in one place at a certain time agree to read a collective prayer service. Despite the fact that those wishing to make a common prayer appeal are separated by distance, they are united by a common goal and time. Such a common prayer service is called a prayer by agreement.
Conciliar or prayer by agreement is the collective prayer of a group of believers (the number of people may be different) with the purpose of turning to God to satisfy the needs of those praying who cannot gather in one place, but have the opportunity to turn to the Almighty with an appeal at one time. The time and purpose of the appeal are agreed upon in advance so that everyone who has expressed a desire can begin it on time.
This prayer is a kind of first aid for a person who finds himself in a difficult situation or facing an insoluble problem that he cannot solve on his own. A similar request is made in cases of everyday troubles, serious illnesses, misfortune, sorrow, etc. Conciliar prayer has been practiced for many centuries as a grace-filled prayer.
