اسْتَرْقُوا لَهَا فإنَّ بِهَا النَّظْرَةَ

“ Recite the ruqya over her against the evil eye, for, verily, she has been jinxed! "(Bukhari, Muslim)

رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) يتعوّذُ من الجانّ وعين الإِنسان حت ى نزلت المعوّذتان، فلما نزلتا أخذَ بهما وتركَ ما سواهما

It is also narrated from Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet ﷺ often asked for protection for Hasan and Husayn in the following words:

أُعِيذُكُما بِكَلِماتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطانٍ وَ هامَّةِ وَمِنْ كُلّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ،

«A'uzu bi-kyalimati Llahi t-tammati min kulli shaitanin wa hammatin wa min kulli 'ainin lyammatin»

“I resort to the perfect words of Allah so that they protect you from every shaitan, poisonous insect and from every evil eye,” and said: “Truly, your forefather (Ibrahim (peace be upon him)) with these same words asked Allah for protection for Ismail and Ishak." (Bukhari)

From 'Uthman Ibn 'Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) it was reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Nothing will harm the servant of Allah who says three times every morning and every evening:

اسْمِهِ شئ فِي الأرْضِ وَلا في السَّماءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ العَلِيم

“ Bi -smi-Llyahi llazi la yazurru ma'a ismi-hi shayun fi-l-arzi wa la fi-s-samai, wa huva s-Sami'u-l-'Alim .”

“In the name of Allah, in whose name nothing will cause harm either on earth or in heaven, for He is the Hearing, the Knowing.” (Tirmidhi)

“One of the Prophets (peace be upon them) once looked at his people, saw their numbers, and he liked it. After some time, seventy thousand people from among his fellow tribesmen died at once. And Allah Almighty sent him the following revelation: “ You jinxed them, and if you had protected them after you jinxed them, they would not have perished .” He asked: “ How could I protect them? “Then Allah Almighty sent him another revelation:

“You should have said:

حَصَّنْتُكُمْ بالحَيّ القَيُّومِ الَّذي لا يَمُوتُ أَبَدَاً، وَدَ فَعْت عَنْكُمُ السُّوءَ بِلا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ باللَّهِ ا عَلِيّ العَظيم

“Hassantu-kum bi-l-Hayyi l-Qayyum, al-lyazi la yamutu abadan, wa dafa'tu 'ankumu s-sua bi-la havla wa la quwwata illya billahi l-'alliyi l-'azim"

“I protected you with the help of the Living and Ever-Existing One, Who will never die, and took away evil from you with the words: “There is no power to leave the bad, sinful and turn to good, and there is no power to worship Allah, adhere to good, except from Allah Almighty , Great."

When Al-Qadi Husayn watched us his companions, he always said these words if he liked what they were doing.

It is reported from Sa'id Ibn Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet ﷺ was afraid of jinxing something, he said:

اللَّهُمَّ بارِكْ فِيهِ

«Allahumma, barik fi-hi»

“‘O Allah bless it,’ and nothing bad happened to it.” (Ibn As-Sunni)

It was also reported from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“If a person sees something that he likes and says:

“Ma sha Allahu, la quwwata illya bi-Llah”

“ As Allah willed, there is no power except Allah,” nothing bad will happen to this .” (Ibn As-Sunni)
