People noticed a sign of the special mission entrusted to the shoulders of the newborn during the baptism ritual. Witnesses confirm that when the baby was lowered into the font, a column of fragrant smoke appeared in the temple. The priest recognized the extraordinary nature of the incident and expressed confidence in the holiness of this girl.
When she was still a child, spiritual insight awakened in her. One day Matrona’s mother wanted to visit an Orthodox church and invited her husband with her, but he refused and stayed to read prayers at home. The mother, who came to church, could not get out of her head the thought that the seer’s father did not keep her company.
Upon returning from the lips of her daughter, she heard words that were somewhat confusing. Matrona tried to explain to her mother that being in the temple with worldly thoughts does not bring any benefit. With the help of innate wisdom, the saint already at a young age directed people on the path of truth.

Soon Matrona of Moscow predicted a revolution in the Russian Empire. She clearly saw that the Bolsheviks would begin to rob the bourgeoisie, exterminate Christianity and drive the Tsar’s defenders out of the country. She saw the treacherous division of Russian lands and the flight of those who started evil against religiosity.
Before the start of the revolution, a lady came to the saint, wanting to build a bell tower in her own village, and asked for a blessing. Matrona predicted that this virtuous plan would not be realized. Despite the fact that there were enough materials and money for construction, a bloody atheistic revolution intervened in the state of affairs.
Miracles of healing occurred from the humble and non-stop prayer of Matrona before the Almighty Creator.
- A few kilometers from the saint’s home there lived a man who had lost the ability to walk. Matrona ordered this unfortunate man to crawl 4 km to her. The exhausted man followed the orders of the spiritual healer and the next day he was able to walk on his own two feet.
- One man was paralyzed in an instant; he could not feel his limbs. The patient did not believe in the healing gift of the holy woman and was a great skeptic in this regard. His relatives talked with the healer, who said that she knew everything that was happening and allowed him to bring the non-believer to her. The saint used prayer chants and sprinkled the body with enchanted water, stimulating miraculous sleep. The next morning the man felt strength in his limbs, was able to stand on his feet and speak normally. The relatives, seeing this miracle, praised and thanked the healer.
- One woman named Praskovya went to a psychiatric hospital to visit her brother. She was accompanied on the road by a married couple who were picking up their daughter when she was discharged. On the way back they were also nearby. It became clear to everyone that their daughter needed healing through divine intervention when she began to bark as a dog. Praskovya persuaded her parents to bring the sick woman to bow to the Matrona of Moscow. When the daughter was brought to the saint, she fully tensed her body and began to spit at those present. She broke free from her parents' arms, began to spin around on the floor and spit out blood. Soon the daughter fell into a three-day sleep, and after waking up she began to communicate normally with her own mother. She told all the details that she remembered, and was completely healed from a terrible illness.
