How to protect yourself from Shaitan: text of the dua and reading rules

Our stay in this world is a series of tests through which we have a great opportunity to reach unimaginable heights in the spiritual plane, gain the pleasure of the Lord and find peace in Paradise. One of such tests for a person is Satan (Shaitan, Iblis). The Koran says that Iblis is an indisputable and obvious, but at the same time invisible enemy of man. He is trying to confuse the servant of God, turn him away from doing good deeds, and plunge into the abyss of sinful thoughts and actions. Anyone who can save himself from the machinations of Satan and remain faithful to the highly moral ideals of religion will be one of the happiest people on earth. How can we achieve this, how can we protect ourselves, our family, and those who are dear to us from the harm of Satan? We bring to your attention five effective means of protection from Satan.

Remedy No. 1 against Satan: isti'aza.

أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
“A'uzu bill hi mina-sh-shaitani-r-rajim” (I seek protection from Allah from the accursed Satan deprived of His mercy).
In order to protect himself from Satan, a person must turn to God, who created Satan himself, for help. This should be done before reading the Koran, Surah Al-Fatiha in prayer, before going to bed, before performing ablution, before entering the toilet and other dirty places, and also in a state of anger. In short, you must always turn to the Almighty for help in protecting yourself from Satan in all conditions. One of the ways of conversion is to read the above-mentioned supplication - isti'az.

Is it possible to expel a genie from yourself?

First of all, in order to prevent the genie from entering a person, you need to build a fortress for yourself, there is even a book “The Fortress of a Muslim.” That is, one must make remembrance of Allah, which is why the jinn begin to fear man. Shaitan is weak and man can and must protect himself.

A Muslim must always be in ablution, not miss the morning and evening adhkars, and do daily dhikrs during the day “ La illaha illa Allah, lahu l-mulku wa lahu l-hamdu wa hua ala kulli shein qadiir ” - “There is no God except Allah, to Him the whole kingdom belongs and all glory belongs to Him and He is powerful over every thing!”, read the Quran, read it into the water and bathe in it, take Zam-Zam water and read certain verses on it, for example, verse al-Kursi and drink such water .

Treatment of diseases associated with the influence of jinn requires from the patient high willpower and patience, spiritual development, sincerity before Allah, turning to Him for healing and protection, then the expulsion of the demon will take place quickly and effectively, and thanks to this test the person will be cleansed of his sins and will come closer to the pleasure and mercy of Allah Almighty.

Remedy against Satan No. 2: basmala.

الرَّحِيم

“Bismillah hi-r-rahmani-r-rahim” (In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful to everyone in this world and to those who believe in the Hereafter).

This most valuable expression is pronounced before doing something good or good. And the main meaning of this expression is that a Muslim begins this act in the name of Allah and in the hope of His grace (barakat). It is recommended to say it before eating, sleeping, dressing, reading the Koran, ablution, reading theological books, etc. Basmala does not allow the shaitan to participate in human affairs, because with these words the servant of God offers himself to the Almighty.

How to correctly read Muslim prayers to remove damage and the evil eye

Dua can be used to protect or remove the evil eye, to treat and remove damage caused. Reading dua means calling on Allah for help.

In order to correctly read Muslim prayers to remove damage and the evil eye, you should first of all:

  • sincerely believe in the power of dua;
  • correctly pronounce the words of dua in Arabic;
  • read Arabic texts without distortion;
  • obtain special permission to remove damage or the evil eye.

Not everyone is able to correctly read special prayers for protection or treatment from black magic and the evil eye. An unprepared person can not only harm the people he is trying to help. Often such people themselves suffer from inept actions.

Currently, you can find a large number of channels on YouTube where you can watch and listen to how duas are read against the evil eye and damage. This is especially useful for those who seek to study Muslim prayers of protection on their own.

Remedy against Satan No. 3: The Koran.

To protect yourself and your home from Shaitan, read the Koran more, and if you cannot read it yourself, then listen to the reading. Because the mercy (rahmat) of the Almighty is sent to the place where the Koran is read, and the place where there is Allah’s rahmat is not a place for the devils, the jinn.

It is highly recommended to read Surah al-Baqarah. The hadith says: “Read Surah al-Baqarah in your homes! Indeed, the shaitan does not enter the house in which Surah al-Baqarah is being read” (Imam al-Hakim).

There are a number of very valuable verses in this surah. This is the 255th verse - “Ayatul-Kursi”. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever reads Ayatul-Kursi in the morning is protected from jinn until the evening, and whoever reads it in the evening is protected from them until the morning” (Imam al-Hakim). And also the last 2 verses (285th and 286th). Nu'man ibn Bashir ﺮﻀﻲﷲﻋﻧﻪ reports the words of the Prophet ﷺ: “Truly, Allah wrote the Book two thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, and He sent down from it two verses with which Surah al-Baqarah ends.” And the shaitan will not approach the house in which they will be read for three nights” (imams at-Tirmidhi, al-Hakim, al-Bazzar).

It is also recommended to read surahs “al-Falyak” and “al-Nas”. A hadith narrated from Aisha ﺮﻀﻲﷲﻋﻨﻬﺎ says: “Verily, every night when the Prophet ﷺ went to bed, he read Surahs “al-Ikhlas”, “al-Falyak” and “an-Nas” in both palms (joining them in front of him) "One by one, he spat on them and, starting from the head to the feet, passed them over the entire body, wherever his hand reached. He did this three times” (Imam al-Bukhari).

Requirements for a Djinn Exorcist

The expulsion of jinn is a process that requires great psycho-emotional, physical and spiritual effort; it should not be carried out by a random person, but only by someone who meets certain requirements, then the treatment, by the will of Allah, will be effective.

The first thing a jinn exorcist must have is sincerity or Ikhlas. Only for the sake of Allah Almighty should he engage in treatment for jinn, since such activity is part of worship, and this requires the right intention. He must be a God-fearing Muslim, observe Sharia law and fulfill his duties to Allah Almighty.

The reader of the Koran must have a deep knowledge of religion, understand the issues of aqidah, since among the jinn there are representatives of various faiths, they can enter into dialogue with the deducer, they are resourceful and easily mislead the ignorant.

A Muslim who reads the Koran to expel the genie must have the ability to keep other people’s secrets, since a person suffering from an illness can, during treatment, entrust to his doctor even such secrets that he cannot tell those closest to him and the doctor should not spread these secrets. When expelling a jinn from a girl or woman, a close male relative (mahram) (father, brother, son or uncle) must be present, the girl must be completely covered with clothes and not highlight her body features, the reader of the Koran must not touch the woman unless absolutely necessary . When expelling a jinn from a man, the norms of clothing must also be observed: the man’s awrah is covered (from the knees to the navel).

In some videos you can see the expulsion of jinn when Islamic principles in clothing are not observed, or methods not permitted by Sharia are practiced: incomprehensible formulas or spells are read, the process is accompanied by music, dancing, songs, shouts of the leader, suppression of the human psyche and will. Such methods of treatment are forbidden and have no relation to Islamic types of treatment, and at such events it is not expulsion that occurs, but the infusion of genie into people.

The one who expels genies should be a bit of a psychologist and psychotherapist, because it is important for him to be able to distinguish whether the person who turned to him for treatment is really a mentally ill person, or the cause of the illness is the activity of the genie: after all, in the first case, the treatment method will be medicinal, and in the second case, religious.

It is important that the specialist conducting treatment for jinn applies to himself the methods of protection indicated in the Koran and the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, then the process of expulsion, by the will of Allah, will be much easier and the treatment will bring results.

Where does aura cleansing begin?

Cleanliness of the house is, first of all, cleaning. You must keep your home in order and in a tidy condition. Dirty dishes left in the kitchen are already a reason to attract the shaitan into the house.

One of the reliable hadiths also says: “Cover the dishes, cover the containers with water. Truly, there is a night in the year during which illness descends. And if any cup or vessel of water remains uncovered, it will certainly penetrate into it” (Muslim).

The rule of the primacy of order, inherent in the Islamic canons, is consonant with the provisions of other beliefs. Take for example such a widespread topic as karma, taken from ancient Indian philosophy.

When should you resort to reading?

When performing namaz, they turn to Allah, asking for his mercy and protection. Dua to expel jinn and shaitans must be read to cleanse the house. If you are going on a trip, read a prayer so as not to get lost.

Duas are necessary for people who are at a crossroads. Allah will show you the right path to bypass the desire for pleasure and carnal desires.

You need to read dua when you feel a loss of strength, your soul is overwhelmed by sinful feelings: anger, malice, envy, pride. It is necessary to say a prayer for children who have fallen under the influence of Satan after each obligatory prayer. Regularly pronouncing dua will help get rid of dark witchcraft sent by one of the followers of Iblis, who rejected the precepts of the Muslim religion.

The most effective prayers - dua against damage and the evil eye

Repeated recitation of surahs and dhikr is a powerful means of combating witchcraft, the evil eye and corruption. They not only protect against dark magic, but also prevent its negative impact on humans.

The most frequently used and effective prayers against the evil eye and damage are:

  • 1st surah from the book Al-Fatiha. “Opening”

“In the name of the Creator of All That Is, the One and Only for everyone and everything, whose mercy is eternal and limitless. True praise belongs only to the Lord of the Day of Judgment. We worship You and ask You for God's blessing in our affairs. Guide us on the right path. The path of all those who were awarded such an honor is to follow the right path. Not those with whom You were angry, and not those who came down from him.”

  • 112th sura from the book al-Ikhlas “Sincerity”

“He is the Lord, and there are no other gods besides Him. God - only He is the One in Whom everyone will need to infinity. He did not give birth and was not born. And no one can be like Him; there is nothing like Him.”

  • 113th sura from the book al-Falyak “Dawn”

“I take refuge in the Lord of all that He has created, moving away from the evil that He has created. And I will escape from the evil of the darkness of the night, when the night covers everything in darkness. And I will distance myself from the evil of those who cast spells and speak their devilish spells. And I am moving away, with Your help, Lord, from the evil of the envious person, when he envies with black envy, desiring destruction and destruction for another, deprivation of benefits and well-being.”

There are also shorter effective prayers that are read when a person feels a negative magical effect:

  • “Everything that’s yours will remain yours. I don’t need other people’s evil.”
  • “Wish for yourself what you are wishing for now. I myself know what happened, what is, and what will happen.”
  • “Closed from evil sight, voice and touch. I am surrounded by an insurmountable wall that cannot be overcome without my desire. There is power in my words. Let it be so".
  • “And we send from the Koran that which is mercy and healing to those who believe.”

Dua must be read in complete solitude. However, in cases where the victim cannot read prayers on his own, a dua is pronounced for him by a stranger. At the end of the reading, according to tradition, he must hit the victim of the evil eye.

If you regularly watch and listen to protective duas posted on YouTube channels, you can quickly master the intricacies of correctly pronouncing these Muslim prayers.

Dua for forgiveness of sins before bed

Muslims often ask the question of whether there is a dua that should be read before going to bed at night, and which is a means of ensuring that the Almighty forgives a Muslim all his sins.
A Muslim who goes to bed must make a calculation for himself of the good and bad deeds he has committed each day and ask for forgiveness for the sins he has committed - this is the way of our righteous ancestors, this is what Umar ibn al-Khatab did, who said that a Muslim should make a calculation of himself before he is presented with an account of his affairs (i.e., death and subsequent account). Reading a dua is the right step towards earning from God relief from punishment for one’s sins or forgiveness of sins, because the repentance of a sinner and his requests for forgiveness cause the pleasure of the Almighty. In the Holy Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah it is reported that the Lord loves those who repent of their sins and turn away from committing sinful things, and also loves those who avoid all defilement and maintain cleanliness. Another verse of Surah An-Nisa says that the path to repentance is always open for a Muslim believer, and if a person does something bad and then turns to God with a prayer for forgiveness, then the Almighty will accept this repentance and forgive his sin , because the Lord is Gracious and Forgiving.

Listen to dua:

Muslims who ask such a question should know what types of sins a person has. There are sins that a person has committed without fulfilling the obligations assigned to a Muslim by God: such obligations include paying zakat, fasting, performing prayers, and performing hajj. If a person has committed a sin by failing to fulfill one of these obligations or not fulfilling all of these obligations, then he should make up for his omission and do what he should, and then the weight of sin will be removed from him. There is a category of sins that are committed between people if one of the people causes some harm to another. This may be moral harm or material harm. Such sins fall into the category of grave sins. For such sins to be forgiven, it is not enough for the person who committed them to read dua and ask for forgiveness from the Almighty - he should ask for forgiveness from the person he offended and compensate the one to whom he caused grave harm.

There is another category of sin - this is a sin that was committed by a person in relation to the Lord. Such sins are committed by a Muslim when he violates the orders and prohibitions that the Lord sent down to him. To atone for his sins, a person must not only beg for forgiveness, but he must perform good deeds, deeds that can serve as atonement for his sins.

Shaitan retreats during the recitation of adhan and iqama

It is reported from the words of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

«When the call to prayer is pronounced, the shaitan retreats, emitting noise with the winds so as not to hear this call, and when the call ends, he approaches (again). And he retreats during the iqama, and when the announcement of the beginning of the prayer ends, he (again) steps up to stand between the person and his heart and inspire him: “Remember this and that,” which he did not even think about (before prayer, and he does this) so that a person remains (in a similar) position, not knowing how many (rak'ats) of prayer he has performed

"(Bukhari 608, Muslim 389, Abu Dawud 516).

From this hadith we understand that the shaitan retreats when Muslims give adhan or pronounce iqama

.
This hadith also confirms the fact that the evil of Shaitan comes down to only instigations (was-was)
.

Shaitan leaves when a Muslim remembers Allah

It was narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say:

«When a person enters his house and remembers Allah at the entrance and when eating [says Bismillah], then the Shaitan says: “There is no place for you to sleep and there is no food!” And when a person enters (a house) and does not mention Allah at the entrance, the shaitan says: “You have received lodging and food.”

"(Muslim 2022, Ahmad 14319, Abu Dawud 3765, Ibn Majah 3787, Ibn Hibban 819).

From this hadith we understand the weakness of Shaitan and the greatness of the words “Bismillah”.

As soon as these words are uttered, any shaitan from among the jinn moves away not only from the person, but even leaves the house where the one who uttered these words is located.

.

This is true for any business: when a Muslim starts eating, enters a house, and so on.

There are also other ways to drive out the shaitan.
