A penitential canon on forgiveness for those who committed abortion has been published

The official website of the Moscow Patriarchate posted the text of a prayer sequence, including a special edition of the penitential canon, supplemented by a mention of the sin of killing children in the womb (abortion). On December 28, this text, prepared by the Synodal Liturgical Commission, was approved at a meeting of the Holy Synod, and will now be included in new editions of prayer books. I hope that even those who are frivolous about the murder of unborn children, after reading this sequence, will understand how terrible this thing is murder. That forgiveness is possible only in God, who Himself ascended to the Cross and suffered death at our hands. That only by asking forgiveness from the murdered and from Christ can we find this forgiveness and receive healing for our tormented soul. Schema-nun Antonia (in the world Anastasia Yakovlevna Kaveshnikova) is an Orthodox ascetic, confessor and elder. Appearance of the Mother of God to Schema Nun Anthony

In her youth, Anastasia (that was the name of the future schema-nun) had an abortion (according to some reports, she had a miscarriage) - and tearfully repented of this sin. One day she prayed in the Church of the Resurrection of Slovushchago on Nezhdanova Street (now the Assumption Enemy) in front of the icon “Seeking the Lost.” And he sees: the Mother of God turned her face towards her. Many cases of miraculous help through her prayers during her life and after her death testify to the correction of children, the arrangement of family affairs, the conversion of unbelievers, those of little faith and even persecutors to the faith, the wedding of married couples, the gift of children to the infertile, the recovery of stolen people and things, material needs . Through her prayers to the Lord, churches and monasteries were built and restored, and those priests and laymen who came to her grave to serve a memorial service or simply to pray were never left without help and consolation. Moreover, requests for help addressed to the old woman were fulfilled so accurately that there simply remains no doubt about her boldness before the Lord. But because the great old lady fearlessly confessed the prayerful penance given to her by the Queen of Heaven for the sins of infanticide, and she herself prayed for these weak unfortunate souls, she was given an admonition to her request to the Mother of God - that the devil would tear off her skin for this, - that is, - there will be severe sorrows. But mother was not afraid to take this great Cross for everyone and everything. And thanks to this feat, she received from the Lord for her great labors the gifts of prayer and insight. Through her prayers, many thousands of families were saved from collapse, and many many babies were born. But from the first meeting she gave everyone the rule given to her by the Mother of God - thus, murder in the womb is a personal, tribal and social sin, that is, it falls with a heavy burden on the murderer himself and on all relatives and on the whole society, which is this crime legitimized and silently “tolerates.”

Elder Antonia's instructions:

Mother Antonia said that killing one baby is more terrible than an adult, seven generations of mother and father will answer, i.e. suffer from the destruction of families and grief due to drunkenness, fornication, drug addiction, fatal diseases and other, as it seems to everyone, “external” reasons. For the infant soul is just like the angelic one. “Someone in the family will definitely shed blood for an abortion,” the old woman warned. Having atoned for the sin of infanticide through repentance, penance given by the Mother of God, and works of mercy, punishments are stopped or mitigated by God’s mercy. And many now repent and pray according to this rule, although the penance given by the Queen of Heaven is blasphemed by some, and by others, out of “fear” of blasphemers, they hide from people out of fear for the sake of the Pharisee, and to remain silent about this is simply a crime, for repentance not only washes away sins from the repentant themselves , but their children and relatives are also freed from punishment. Infant murdered souls are freed from painful suffering and there is plenty of evidence of this. Those who, as expected, followed this rule were granted visions of prayed-off infant souls. Moreover, people sincerely testify to this, on the Cross and the Gospel, as well as how miraculous changes took place in them after these prayers, both in their personal lives and in family affairs, and these people become preachers of repentance and active supporters of the prohibition of abortion and other methods of infanticide. Often persecution for the special gifts of God, the labors and exploits of ascetics become constant companions during their life and after their death, which evil spirits try in every possible way to hinder, arousing their ardent “novices” from among spiritually immature people. He considered this penance to be a salvation and solution to family problems and especially problems related to children: (infertility, incurable diseases, unbelief, drunkenness, smoking, drug addiction, fornication and others). During the funeral service for Father Paisius, all those present witnessed a miracle - the descent of a blue cloud onto the coffin, which then slowly went into the Altar. At the funeral, a woman possessed by an unclean spirit shouted: “The righteous man is leaving, leaving... There will be no repentance...” And now miracles continue at his resting place. Many admirers of the memory of Hieroschemamonk Paisius call this place “little Jerusalem.” One servant of God from Zhashkov was sick with cancer, he was already completely desperate, he did not hope to live. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Source of life and immortality, who came into the world to save sinners! Look upon us, Thy unworthy servants, with our hearts and bodies before the majesty of Thy glory, who bow down to us who have sinned, who are lawless, who are untruthful before You, but to Thy bounties and Thy mercy. We pray with hope and tears: gracious and all-merciful Lord, forgive and have mercy on us , those who rejected Your love, trampled upon the law of the Gospel, blinded their minds with passions, killed their children in madness, others committed this mortal sin or did not forbid their criminal intentions. We are, Lord, as we are worthy of the fire of hell and eternal torment, but imams and your love for mankind are images: the thief, the publican, the harlot, the prodigal son, who opened by repentance opening the doors of the Kingdom of Heaven and pardoning those who received it. Moreover, we cry to the multitude of Your bounties: accept our sincere repentance and cleanse our heart, defiled by immeasurable sins. Look, O omnipotent Lord, upon Thy people, give understanding to our brothers and sisters who commit lawlessness; Shine Your truth in the hearts of those who are lost and in darkness, stopping the mouth of the wicked and evil one, preaching infanticide; enlighten the minds of mothers who kill their children in their wombs; hold back the hand of the child-killer doctor with Your omnipotent right hand; stop the bloody lawlessness that is happening.
