General prayer service to the Mother of God.

Prayer singing with the canon of the Most Holy Theotokos and reading of the Holy Gospel. The text is adapted for private (home) reading.

Through the prayers of the saints, our fathers, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, have mercy on us.
Amen. Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, Who is everywhere and fulfills everything, Treasure of good things and Giver of life, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all filth, and save, O Good One, souls ours.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. (Thrice.)

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; Lord, cleanse our sins; Master, forgive our iniquities; Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name's sake.

Lord, have mercy (three times). Glory, and now:

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, as it is in Heaven and on earth. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, just as we forgive our debtors; and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord have mercy, (12 times). Glory, and now:

Come, let us worship the King our God.

Come, let us worship and fall down before Christ, our King God.

Come, let us bow and fall down to Christ Himself, the King and our God.

And abiye Psalm 143:

Lord, hear my prayer, inspire my prayer in Your truth, hear me in Your righteousness, and do not enter into judgment with Your servant, for no one living will be justified before You. For the enemy drove away my soul, humbled my life to eat, and planted me to eat in the dark, like the dead ages. And my Spirit is sad within me, my heart is troubled within me. I have remembered the days of old, I have learned in all Your works, I have learned Your hand in all creation. I lift up my hands to You, my soul, like a waterless land to You. Hear me quickly, Lord, my spirit has disappeared, do not turn Your face away from me, and I will become like those who go down into the pit. I hear you show me Your mercy in the morning, for I have trusted in You. Tell me, Lord, I will go the other way, because I have taken my soul to You. Deliver me from my enemies, Lord, I have fled to You. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. Your Good Spirit will guide me to rightness on earth. For Thy name's sake, Lord, live me, by Thy righteousness remove my soul from sorrow. And Your mercy will consume my enemies and destroy all my cold souls, for I am Your servant.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and now, and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

We also sing: God is the Lord and He has appeared to us, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord , the same for each verse:

Verse: Confess to the Lord that He is Good, for His mercy endures forever.

Verse: They went around me and resisted them in the name of the Lord.

Verse: I will not die, but I will live and carry out the works of the Lord.

Verse: The stone that was built carelessly, this was at the head of the corner, this came from the Lord and is marvelous in our hands.

Also the troparion to the Mother of God, tone 4:

Let us now approach the Mother of God diligently, sinners and humility, and let us fall down in repentance calling from the depths of our souls: Lady, help us, having mercy on us, struggling, we perish from many sins, do not turn away and your slaves are vain, for you and the only hope of the imams. (Twice)

Glory even now: We will never be silent, O Mother of God, from Your unworthy words: even if you were not there to pray, who would save us from such troubles, who would keep us free to this day, we will not retreat, O Lady, from You , Your servants save always from all kinds of evil ones.

Also Psalm 50:

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy, and according to the multitude of Your compassions, cleanse my iniquity. Above all, wash me from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my iniquity, and I will take away my sin before me. I have sinned against You alone, and I have created the evil one before You, so that You may be justified in Your words and overcome, never judge You. Behold, I was conceived in iniquities, and my mother gave birth to me in sins. Behold, you loved the truth, you showed me your unknown and secret wisdom. Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Give joy and gladness to my hearing; humble bones will rejoice. Turn away Your face from my sins, and cleanse all my iniquities. Create a pure heart in me, O God, and renew a right spirit in my womb. Do not turn me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit away from me. Give me the joy of Your salvation, and strengthen me with the Lord’s Spirit. I will teach the wicked your way, and wickedness will turn to you. Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, God of my salvation, my tongue will rejoice in Your righteousness. Lord, open my mouth, and my mouth will declare Your praise. As if you had wanted sacrifices, you would have given burnt offerings without being pleased. The sacrifice to God is a contrite spirit, a contrite and humble heart, God will not despise. Bless Zion, O Lord, with Your favor, and may the walls of Jerusalem be built. Then you are pleased with the sacrifice of righteousness, the wave offering and the burnt offering, then they will lay the bullock on Your altar.

Here we honor the canon of the Mother of God

By the third song

Save Thy servants from troubles, Mother of God, / as we all resort to You according to God, / as an unbreakable wall and intercession.

Look with kindness, O all-sung Mother of God, / on my fierce embitterment of the body, / and heal my soul and illness.

Lord, have mercy, three times.

Troparion, tone 2:

Warm prayer and an invincible wall, / the source of mercy, the world’s refuge, / we diligently cry out to Thee: / Mother of God, Lady, advance, / and deliver us from troubles, / the only one who will soon appear.

For 6 songs.

Kontakion, tone 6:

The representation of Christians is not shameful, / intercession to the Creator is immutable, / do not despise the voices of sinful prayers, / but advance, like the Good One, to the aid of us, / faithfully calling to You; / hasten to prayer, and strive to entreat, / ever presenting, O Mother of God, those who honor Thee.

Ikos:

Stretch out Thy hand, and above all Thou hast received the Lord as the Child for the multitude of goodness, / do not forsake us, who always hope in Thee, with Thy cheerful prayer, / and with countless sheets of generosity us, / and grant to our souls Your mercy, flowing forever, / to You for the imams are sinners, the Intercessor from the troubles and evils that come upon us. / But as you have the mercy of generosity, / hasten to prayer and strive to entreat, / always interceding, O Mother of God, those who honor Thee.

Another kontakion, the same voice:

Not imams of other help, / not imams of other hope, / except for You, Most Pure Virgin. / Help us, / We trust in You, and we boast in You, / For we are Your servants, let us not be ashamed.

Lord, have mercy, (thrice) Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Reading from Luke of the Holy Gospel.

Glory to You, Lord, glory to You.

And the Gospel:

In those days, Miriam arose and went to the Mountain with diligence, to the city of Judah. And Zechariah went into the house and kissed Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard Marino’s kiss, the baby leaped in her womb: and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. And he cried with a great voice and said: Blessed are You among women, and blessed is the Fruit of Your womb. And where do I get this, so that the Mother of my Lord may come to me? Behold, as the voice of your kiss came into my ear, the baby leaped with joy in my womb. And blessed is she who believed, for the things spoken to her by the Lord will be accomplished. And Miriam said: My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior. For He has looked upon the humility of His servant: behold, from now on all your father and mother will bless Me. For the Mighty One has done great things for Me, and holy is His name. So Miriam stayed with her for three months and returned to her house.

Glory to You, Lord, glory to You.

And abie on voice 6:

Glory: Through the prayers of the Mother of God, O Most Merciful, cleanse our many sins.

And now: Through the prayers of the Mother of God, O Most Merciful, cleanse our many sins.

The same verse: Have mercy on me, O God, according to your great mercy, and according to the multitude of your compassions, cleanse my iniquity.

Stichera, same voice:

Do not entrust me to human intercession, / Most Holy Lady, / but accept the prayer of Your servant: / for sorrow will support me, / I cannot endure demonic shooting, / there is no protection for the imam, / below where I will take refuge, oh born, / we always win, / and there is no consolation Imam, don’t you, the Lady of the world, / the hope and representation of the faithful, / despise my prayer, make it useful.

By song 9

Theotokos, tone 2:

The highest of the heavens, / and the purest of the lordships of the sun, / who delivered us from the oath, / The Lady of the world, / we will honor with songs.

Because of my many sins / my body is weak, / my soul is also weak: / I come to You with greater grace, / the hope of the unreliable, / help me.

Mistress and Mother of the Deliverer, / accept the prayer / of Your unworthy servants, / that you may intercede with Him who was born of You. / O Lady of the world, be the Intercessor!

I diligently sing a song to You now / joyfully to the all-sung Mother of God, / with the Forerunner and all the saints, / pray to the Mother of God, / to spare us.

(Mute are the lips of the wicked, / who do not worship your honorable image, / which was written by the most holy Apostle Luke, / Hodegetria.)

All the hosts of angels, / Forerunner of the Lord, / the apostles of the Twelve, all the saints / with the Mother of God, say a prayer, / that we may be saved.

Thanksgiving prayer
Peaceful litany

- O merciful thanksgiving today, and accept the prayer of us unworthy servants into your heavenly altar: and graciously have mercy on us, let us pray to the Lord.

- For the sake of not being disdained by the thanksgiving of our indecent servants, we offer them in a humble heart for the blessings received from him: but as a fragrant incense, and a fat burnt offering will be acceptable to him, let us pray to the Lord.

- Oh, and now listen to the voice of the prayer of us, our unworthy servants, and always fulfill the good intentions and desires of our faithful ones for good, and always, as generous, do good to us, and to our holy church, and to grant forgiveness to every faithful servant of ours, Lord Let's pray.

- About the hedgehog to deliver your holy church, and your servants (slave) and all of us from all sorrow, trouble, anger, and need, and from all enemies visible and invisible: with health, long life, and peace, and your angel with the militia of your faithful always protect us, let us pray to the Lord.

Troparions to God the Lord

Troparion, tone 4: Give thanks to Thy unworthy servants, O Lord, / for Thy great blessings upon us who have been, / we glorify Thee, bless, thank, sing, and magnify Thy compassion / and slavishly cry out to Thee in love: // To our Benefactor, our Savior, glory to You.

Glory, voice 3:

Your blessings and gifts to us / as a servant of indecency, the Lord who has been honored / we diligently flow to You, we offer thanksgiving according to our strength, / and to You, as the benefactor and Creator of Glorification, we cry out // glory to You, most generous God.

And now, the same voice:

Theotokos, Christian helper / Your servants, having acquired Your intercession, cry out to You in gratitude: / Rejoice, Most Pure Virgin Mother of God, / and always deliver us from all our troubles with Your prayers, // the only one who will soon intercede.

Prokeimenon voice 4: I will sing to the Lord who has done good to me, and I will sing to the name of the Lord Most High.

Verse: My heart will rejoice over your salvation.

Ephesians: Brethren, walk as children of light, for the fruit of the Spirit consists of all goodness, righteousness and truth. Test what is pleasing to God, and do not participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but also reprove. For what they do in secret is shameful to even talk about. Everything that is revealed is made manifest by the light, for everything that becomes manifest is light. Therefore it is said: “Awake, O sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” See therefore how dangerously you walk, walk cautiously, not as fools, but as wise, valuing your time, because the days are evil. So, do not be unreasonable, but know what the will of God is. And do not get drunk with wine, which causes debauchery; But be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord, giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:8-21 ).

Gospel of Luke: While Jesus was entering a certain village, ten lepers met Him, who stopped at a distance and said in a loud voice: Jesus is the Master! have mercy on us. When He saw them, He said to them: Go, show yourself to the priests. And as they walked, they purified themselves. One of them, seeing that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice, and fell prostrate at His feet, thanking Him; and it was a Samaritan. Then Jesus said, “Were not ten cleansed?” where is nine? how did they not return to give glory to God, except this foreigner? And he said to him: get up, go; your faith has saved you (Luke 17:12-19).

The Great Litany

- Giving thanks with fear and trembling, as a slave of indecency, to your compassion, our Savior and Master Lord, for your good deeds, which you have poured out abundantly on your servants, and we fall down, and we bring praise to you as to God, and we cry out with emotion: deliver us from all troubles Thy servants, and always as if you are merciful, fulfill the good desires of all of us, we diligently pray to you, hear and have mercy.

“As now you have mercifully heard the prayers of your servants, O Lord, and have shown them the compassion of your love for mankind, without despising now and before, fulfill for your glory all the good desires of your faithful, and show us all your rich mercy, despising all our sins: We pray to you, hear and have mercy.

- It is auspicious, like a fragrant incense and like a fat burnt offering, may this, all-good Master, be our thanksgiving before the majesty of your glory and always send down, as your generous servant is generous with your rich mercies, and your bounty, and from all opposing visible and invisible enemies, your holy church (this monastery or this city, or this whole) deliver, and grant all your people sinless long life with health, and grant success in all virtues, we pray to the all-generous king, mercifully hear and quickly have mercy.

Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ our God, God of all mercy and generosity, whose mercy is immeasurable, and his love for mankind is an unsearchable abyss: falling to your majesty, with fear and trembling, like an unworthy servant, thanksgiving to your kindness for your good deeds on your former servants (servants), now humbly offering, as the Lord, the Master and benefactor, we glorify, praise, sing, and magnify, and give thanks again, your immeasurable and ineffable mercy humbly begging, and like now the prayer of your servants, accept, and graciously fulfill, and in the foregoing in yours and sincere love and excelling in all virtues, your blessings of all your faithful will receive, your holy church, and this city, (abode) delivering from every evil situation, and thus granting peace and tranquility, to you with your beginningless Father, and the most holy and good , and by your consubstantial Spirit, in one being glorified by God, always bring thanksgiving, and vouchsafe to speak and sing praises.

In Russian translation: Lord Jesus Christ our God, God of all mercy and generosity, whose mercy is immeasurable and whose love for mankind is an immeasurable abyss! We, falling before Your greatness, with fear and trembling, like unworthy slaves, bring thanks to You for the mercies shown to us. As the Lord, Master and benefactor, we glorify You, praise You, sing and magnify You and, falling down, thank You again! We humbly pray to Your ineffable mercy: just as now You have accepted our prayers and fulfilled them, so in the future, let us succeed in love for You, for our neighbors and in all virtues. And make us worthy to always thank and glorify You, together with Your beginningless Father and Your all-holy, good, and consubstantial Spirit. Amen.

Song of Saint Ambrose of Milan

We praise You, God, / You, the Lord, we confess, / You, the Eternal Father, / the whole earth magnifies. / All the angels are for you, / Heaven is for you, and all the powers. / To you the cherubim and seraphim / with unceasing voices cry out / holy, holy, holy is the Lord God of hosts. / The heavens and earth are full of the majesty of Your glory. / The glorious apostolic face is to you, / The prophetic number of praise is to you, / The bright martyr’s army praises you. / Throughout the entire universe the Holy Church confesses to You / the Father of incomprehensible majesty / worshiping Your true and only begotten Son, and the Holy Comforter of the Spirit. /

You are the King of glory, Christ3 / You are the ever-present Son of the Father. / You accepted man for deliverance, / you did not disdain a girl’s womb. / You, having overcome the sting of death, / opened up the Kingdom of Heaven to believers. / You are seated at the right hand of God / in the glory of the Father, the judge has come to be believed. /

We therefore ask You / to help Thy servants, / whom Thou hast redeemed with honest blood, / to grant to reign with Thy saints in Thy eternal glory. / Save Thy people, O Lord, / and bless Thy inheritance, / correct them, and exalt them unto the ages, / let us bless Thee all the days, and praise Thy name for ever and ever. / Grant, O Lord, that on this day we may be preserved without sin; / have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us. / May Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us / as we trust in Thee. / In You, Lord, we trust, // let us not be ashamed forever, amen.

Types of Thanksgiving Prayers

In these prayers, as in others, a hierarchical division can be traced: to the Most Holy Trinity, to our Lord Jesus Christ, to the Mother of God, to the Guardian Angel and to the saints.

Holy saints of God

A Christian does not always dare to complain about his everyday problems to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. It’s easier to ask for help from a holy saint, who was once himself a mortal man burdened with worldly difficulties. A Russian Orthodox person has someone to turn to. There were plenty of miracle workers of all Rus' in our Fatherland.

When, with the assistance of the saints of God, the supplicants receive what they want, they offer prayers of thanks to the saints who interceded for them before the Creator. At the same time, we must not forget to glorify and praise the Lord.

On every day

Prayers to express gratitude to God and all the saints are included in the prayer book; they are in the morning and evening rules. They are read throughout the day (for example, after eating food). Thus, the church provides for daily prayer work in glorifying and praising the Lord.

For the well-being of loved ones

One must give tribute for the happiness of loved ones to those who were asked for a good deed (the saint, the Queen of Heaven). A prayer of praise to the Lord Jesus Christ is implied here.

For every need

Among the prayers for every need there is Thanksgiving, offered after the Divine Liturgy, as well as for every good deed of God. Psalms 22 and 102 are cited as glorifying God for the protection of the believer, creation and providences poured out on man.

Prayers to the Mother of God

In the most desperate situations, people rush to the Queen of Heaven with prayers, and she does not reject anyone, she gives comfort to suffering souls. The blessings of the Mother of God are innumerable. Her maternal care for those praying needs confirmation that everything is fine. A prayer of gratitude to the Most Holy Theotokos will be her consolation.

Guardian Angel

A prayer of gratitude to your guardian angel.
The guardian given by God to man during the Sacrament of Baptism accompanies his ward until the end of his days, taking care of the soul entrusted to him.

As a mentor, he tries to reason with us and protect us from sin.

This invisible friend is always nearby, unless we are mired in obscenity, the stench of which does not allow him to approach us.

It's bad when we forget about our mentor.

You are supposed to read a prayer of gratitude to the Guardian Angel if you miraculously managed to survive, not break when falling, not break bones, as if someone had substituted their wing.
