When do they read and why?
As mentioned above, the presented canon cannot be called popular. Most often, they prefer the canon of repentance to Christ before baptism. However, a number of canonists claim that a touching canon is obligatory for everyone. However, there are other sources that attribute this prayer as exclusive to monastics. Laymen can also read it, but at will, there are no special restrictions. Therefore, reading this canon is not only harmless, but also useful.
It is believed that prayer is read only during communion. This is not entirely true. In fact, according to this canon, you can turn to the Lord in any life situation, be it grief or indescribable joy. The text is considered spiritually beneficial, helping to drive away bad thoughts and reach the Creator with tenderness of soul.
During the communion period, this canon is read three days before the start of the sacrament. This has been reported in many sources. But, as mentioned above, communion is not a reason to turn to God with this canon. You can ask for support at any time of the day or night, as long as your soul is pure and well-behaved.
Prayers to God for help in life.
Prayers after reading the canon
Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.
Have mercy on me, my only Savior, for You are merciful and merciful, and make me a partaker of righteous faces.
Holy Angel of God, my guardian, pray to God for me.
Grant me to think and create continually, O Lord Angel, who is good and useful, as she is strong in weakness and blameless.
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
As if you have boldness towards the Heavenly King, pray to Him, along with other incorporeal ones, to have mercy on me, the accursed one.
And now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Having much boldness, O Virgin, to Him Who was incarnate from You, turn me from my bonds and grant me permission and salvation through Your prayers.
Prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ
Lord have mercy.
Master Lord Jesus Christ our God, who for the sake of Your unspeakable love for mankind at the end of the ages was clothed in flesh by the Ever-Virgin Mary, we glorify Your saving providence for us, Thy servants, Master; let us praise Thee, as we know Thee for the Father's sake; Let us bless You, for whose sake the Holy Spirit has come into the world; We worship Your Most Pure Mother in the flesh, who served such a terrible secret; We praise Your angelic presence, as the singers and servants of Your Majesty; We bless the Forerunner John, who baptized You, O Lord; We honor the prophets who proclaimed You, we glorify Your holy apostles; We triumph and martyrs, we glorify Your priests and worship Your venerable ones, and we cherish all Your righteous ones. We bring such and such a many and ineffable face of the Divine into prayer to Thee, Thy all-generous God, Thy servants, and for this sake we ask for forgiveness of our sins, grant us all of Thy for the sake of the saints, more abundantly than Thy holy bounties, for Thou art blessed forever. Amen.
Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
Blessings to my queen, my hope to the Mother of God, friend of the orphans and the strange, the representative of the sorrowing, the joyful, the offended patroness! See my misfortune, see my sorrow, help me as I am weak, feed me as I am strange. Weigh my offense, resolve it as if by will: for I have no other help except You, no other intercessor, no good comforter, except You, O Mother of God, for you will preserve me and cover me forever and ever. Amen.
Reading rules
Traditionally, believers choose their own way of reading prayer: in church or at home (in private). Each method has its own advantages.
Let's start with reading the canon at the temple. First, it should be remembered that the Church is the House of God. Through the temple, human souls unite, thirsting for the mercy of the Almighty. Many believers report that they feel the closeness of the Lord only in church. They explain this moment of the special atmosphere that is created in the temple.
Prayer is like meditation. To enter the desired state, you need time, a suitable place and circumstances. It is these three components that the church unites. Prayer is performed standing. Only the sick and infirm can pray while sitting.
Let's move on to the cell reading. In the frantic pace of life, not every believer will have time to attend church. Sometimes work takes a lot of time, a person leaves to work in the morning and returns late in the evening. Home reading was provided for such people. Prayer is performed the same way as in church - standing. Only those who are sick or suffering from infirmity can pray while sitting.
There are two periods when prayer is read - morning and evening. In the morning, a person cleanses his soul and goes to work with a clear conscience. Thus he is protected by divine protection, no evil will penetrate his soul. In the evening, prayer also serves to cleanse the soul and build protection for the coming sleep. As you know, the human soul is vulnerable precisely at night, when dark forces awaken.
The canon is called touching for a reason. It is worth understanding what tenderness is. Tenderness is often understood as a gift from God, in other words, the opportunity to experience happiness from His closeness.
Reading this prayer, a person lets the Lord into his soul and feels the joy of his own faith. Happiness has no material manifestation, but the spiritually praying person experiences delight, being under the protection of the Almighty.
The Canon is often read to glorify God and His Miracles. After all, a true believer should not only demand, but also give thanks for gifts. The usual requirement is a manifestation of selfishness, an earthly disease. Know how to thank Him for any miracles, because they all happen according to the will of the Creator.
The Lord gave us the most powerful and perfect weapon against despondency and other vices of the earthly world - prayer. Thanks to prayer in His honor, we not only cleanse our souls, but also gradually prepare to go to the Heavenly Kingdom. Everyone must understand that earthly life is fleeting. It cannot be compared with the immortality that awaits people who lead a well-behaved lifestyle.
The touching canon not only protects the soul from evil, but also strengthens faith in the Creator. The tenderness experienced in the process means that your prayer was heard, the Lord visited your soul. He knows about it. What worries you and will definitely help in the current situation.
We simple believers should not only ask for the mercy of the Creator, but also respond with gratitude to all the Miracles that happen in the world at His command. For any joyfully lived day, praise God, because he is the Creator of all things, including our existence. The ability to give thanks is a sacred gift for any person. It should be valued, as should the opportunity to strengthen your faith. The touching canon of Christ will help with this.
The earthly life of Jesus Christ.
Following our Lord Jesus the Sweetest
: by ?? . μῖν δὲ γλυκύτατον // Μίνεβα Ε. Τὸ ὑμνογραφικὸ ἔργο τοῦ Μάρκου Εὐγενικοῦ. Ἀθῆνα, 2000. Τ. 2. Σ. 219-232
In order to come closer to understanding this or that saint, we certainly need to turn to what has been the focus of the lives of all saints at all times - prayer. The prayers of the saints, in which they expressed their experience of Communion with God, open for us the inner world of the fathers and teachers of our Church and allow us to come into contact with its great beauty. In addition, these prayer texts are a kind of “tuning fork” by which we can only set the right tone for our own prayer and spiritual life; Without a doubt, any study of the patristic works without at least a small comparison with them in life turns into profanation.
One of the most significant prayers of the late Byzantine period was the so-called “Sequence of Sobriety and Purification,” compiled in its original form by St. Theoliptus of Philadelphia; in terms of the frequency of invoking the name of Jesus, it approaches the Jesus Prayer itself and therefore was used in the practice of hesychasts. The great prevalence of the Sequence led to the fact that it was repeatedly supplemented during rewriting. The Canon (the so-called Touching) and some stichera from this Consequence were also known in the Slavic tradition; they are still published as part of the Kanonnik.
This Follow-up obviously formed an important part of the prayer life of St. Mark Eugenicus, who personally rewrote it (edited in some places) for prayerful use and himself composed fourteen additional stichera for it [1]. The time of composition of St. It is difficult to determine the mark of the author’s edition of the Follow-up [2], but it seems most likely that it was created before the Council of Florence and reflects the inner spiritual activity of the saint during the years of his monastic life, which ultimately made him capable of spiritual struggle for Orthodoxy.
The entire sequence, in the saint’s personal edition, was published from an autograph manuscript in 2000 by Evelina Mineva; We bring it to the attention of the pious reader in a Slavic translation, partly taken from the Canon, partly completed by K.I. n. O. A. Rodionov or our administrator.
Following our Lord Jesus Christ, the sweetest and most red, called Sobriety and Purification, that is, of the mind and sins, often brings the name of Jesus, terrible for the demon, to us, the sweetest
Creation of St. Theoliptus, Met. Philadelphian (canon and part of the stichera); St. Mark Eugenics, Metr. Ephesus (concluding stichera) and other honest silent ones.
Stichera, tone 6. Similar: Everything has been put aside...
Sweetest Jesus, consolation of my soul, my Jesus, purification of my mind, Master of much mercy, Jesus, save me. My Savior Jesus, my omnipotent Jesus, do not forsake me. Savior Jesus, have mercy and deliver from all torment, O Jesus, and make those who are saved a part, my Jesus, and count me among the face of your chosen ones, O Jesus who loves mankind.
Sweetest Jesus, glory to the apostles, my Jesus, praise to the martyrs, Master of much mercy. Jesus, save me. My Savior Jesus, my most beautiful Jesus, who flows to you, O Savior Jesus, have mercy on me, who through the prayers gave birth to you, all, Jesus, your saints, and the prophet of all, my Savior Jesus, and vouchsafe the sweets of heaven, O Jesus who loves mankind.
Sweetest Jesus, lordship of fasters, all-merciful Jesus, praise and preservation of virgins, Jesus, foreshadow, my Savior Jesus, my Jesus, and take away my torment, my Savior Jesus, and associate the parts of those saved with me, O Savior Jesus, and grant me eternal joy, sweetest Jesus.
Sweetest Jesus, in the needs of the liberator, my Jesus, abyss of mercy, Master, inexhaustible, Jesus, save me, Jesus my Savior and deliver me from all passions, O Jesus Savior, and exaltation; and then, O Jesus, grant me eternal glory as well, O my Jesus, granting me Thy right-hand portion, from the face of Thy chosen ones, having infused me, O sweetest Jesus.
Canon. Voice 2.
Song 1. Irmos: In the depths of the bed sometimes...
[Chorus: Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.]
Sweetest Jesus Christ, long-suffering Jesus, heal the wounds of my soul, O Jesus, and delight my heart, O most merciful Lord, my Savior Jesus, may I magnify You, the one being saved.
Sweetest Jesus Christ, Jesus, open the doors of repentance for me, O most loving Jesus, and receive me, falling before You, and warmly asking, Jesus my Savior, for forgiveness of sins.
Sweetest Jesus Christ, Jesus, snatch me from the hand of the flattering Belial, O Jesus, and make the ruler of Thy glory at the right hand, O Jesus my Savior, deliver me from the parts of my life.
Theotokos. Jesus, who gave birth to God, O all-pure Lady, pray for obscene slaves, so that through your prayers we will be delivered from torment, undefiled, desecrated, enjoying the ever-present glory.
Song 3. Irmos: Having established my faith on the rock...
Hear, O my most loving Jesus, Thy servant, who cries out in compunction: and deliver me, O Jesus, from condemnation and torment, Thou art only long-suffering, O sweetest Jesus, most merciful.
Raise up Thy servant, my Jesus, who is falling in tears, my Jesus, and save, my Jesus, me who repents, and deliver me from hell, O Master, O most sweet and merciful Jesus.
Time, my Jesus, which you gave to me, I spent in passion, my Jesus: also, my Jesus, do not reject me, but call, I pray, Lord, sweetest Jesus, and save me.
Theotokos. Virgin who gave birth to my Jesus, pray to deliver me from Gehenna, the only intercession of the offended, God-favored, and make me worthy of life, all-singing, unafraid of me.
Song 4. Irmos: You came...
Heal, my Jesus, the wounds of my soul, my Jesus, I pray, and snatch away the hands of me, my gracious Jesus, the strangled Belial, and save.
No one has sinned, my Jesus, as the accursed one has sinned: but I fall down praying, my Jesus, save me, and grant me life, my Jesus, my inheritance.
Having deceived me with the temptation of sweetness, Jesus, having taken a captive, now draws me down; snatch me from this, because my Jesus is good, Omnipotent.
Theotokos. Above the Cherubim and Seraphim, you are all-singing, for you alone bear the womb of my Jesus and the Lord, and beseech Him to deliver thee from the troubles of those who sing.
Song 5. Irmos: Enlightenment...
You are enlightenment, my Jesus, my Savior, you are the salvation of my desperate soul, Savior, my Jesus, deliver me from torment and hell crying out to me: save, my Jesus Christ, the damned me.
Of course, my Jesus, I am now cast down to the passions of dishonor: You, my Jesus, have sent down your hand of help to me, take away the cry: save, my Jesus Christ, the prodigal me.
Mortified on the Cross, my Jesus, revive my mortified soul, O my Jesus, and with ancient, Jesus, kindness, as merciful, Christ, clothe the one who creates your justification, O Christ.
Theotokos. Who gave birth to Jesus, the Virgin Mother of God, all the Orthodox, the monks and the worldly, and those who called to deliver Gehenna, begged him to save him: do we not know the firm intercession for you?
Song 6. Irmos: Lying in the abyss of sin...
My Jesus Christ, most merciful, when I confess, receive me, O Master, O Jesus, and save me, and from aphids, O Jesus, snatch me up.
My Jesus, no one was as prodigal as the accursed one, O Jesus, more loving of mankind: but You, Jesus, save me.
O my Jesus, I have conquered the harlot and the harlot, and Manasseh and the publican, O my Jesus, by the passions, and the thief, O Jesus, and the Ninevites.
Theotokos. Bearing the womb of my Jesus Christ, pure Virgin, the only undefiled one, my being is defiled, now cleanse your prayers with hyssop.
Sedalen, voice 1. Similar to: Thy Sepulcher, Savior...
My Savior Jesus, who saved the prodigal, My Savior Jesus, who accepted the harlot, and have mercy on me now, O O many-merciful Jesus, save, be gracious, O Jesus the benefactor, who was kind to Manasseh, my Jesus, who is the only lover of mankind.
Song 7. Irmos: Image of gold...
Christ Jesus, no one has sinned on earth from the beginning of time, O my Jesus, even as I, the wretched and accursed one, have sinned: even so, my Jesus, I cry to Thee: singing with mercy, blessed art thou, O Jesus, God of the fathers.
O Christ Jesus, to Thy fear, I cry, nail me, O my Jesus: and feed me now to a gracious refuge, for yes, my generous Jesus, I sing to Thee, who am saved: blessed art thou, O Jesus, God of the fathers.
O Christ Jesus, I have promised You, O wretched one, O my Jesus, repentance, but I have lied accursed: even so, O my Jesus, I cry unto Thee: Singing me with mercy, blessed art thou, O Jesus, God of the fathers.
Theotokos. Who gave birth to Christ Jesus strangely, and more than nature: pray, O all-immaculate one, that through my nature, forgive me all my sins, O damsel, that I may call us to be saved: blessed art thou, who gave birth to Jesus God.
Song 8. Irmos: Into the fiery furnace...
You, my Jesus, I pray: just as you, my Jesus, delivered a harlot from many wines, so also, my Jesus Christ, deliver me and cleanse my defiled soul, my Jesus.
Having bowed down, O Jesus, with wordless sweets, he appeared without words, and truly as cattle, O my Jesus, the mountaineer, accursed, became like the Savior; Likewise, Jesus, deliver me from speechlessness.
Having been blinded by sweets, my Jesus, my soul in darkness, my Jesus, I walk, but like God, Jesus, having preceded me, Jesus, enlighten me, my Savior Jesus, like the only giver of light.
Theotokos. You who bore my Jesus and God, Christ indescribably, Mary the Mother of God, pray to him ever since, that Thy City and Thy singer may be saved from troubles, O inexperienced virgin.
Song 9. Irmos: From God, God of the Word...
Manasseh, my Jesus, the publican, the harlot, the prodigal, generous Jesus, and the thief, my Jesus, in cold and needless matters, Jesus: but you, my Jesus, have gone ahead and saved me.
From Adam, my Jesus, who have sinned in all things, before the law and in the law, Jesus, and accursed by the law, my Jesus, and by grace, I have overcome the accursed passions: but You, my Jesus, save me by Your destinies.
May I not be separated, O my Jesus, from Thy unspeakable glory, may I not receive a portion, O Jesus, sweetest Jesus: but I have given Thee to Thy right hand of Thy sheep, O my Christ Jesus, who has given rest to me, long-suffering.
Theotokos. Jesus, Mother of God, Whom you bore, the only inexperienced virgin Mary, propitiate him, pure one, as your Son and Creator, to deliver the temptations and troubles and fire of the future that flow to you.
Luminous. Similar to: Sky with stars...
Oh Jesus, my Savior, oh Jesus, my sovereign power, for you are merciful, my Jesus, have mercy on me, Jesus, may I lightly, my Jesus, magnify your glory.
Stichera, tone 1. Similar to: Rejoicing of the heavenly ranks...
You, Jesus and my all-merciful God, You, Jesus my Savior, I pray, my Jesus, redeem me of all kinds, the Word, terrible, my Jesus, torment, and immortal glory for me, O Jesus, worthy of the love of mankind.
Jesus and my incomprehensible God, I pray to You, the Word, the part of Your right hand, Jesus, grant me, O Lord, both torment and deliverance, O Jesus, and eternal fire.
Theotokos. With the prayers of all the saints, Master, for Jesus my Savior, and for You who bear the womb, feed my life, the Word, about Jesus, and direct me to the path leading, about Jesus, to eternal life.
Another, voice 2, the creation of one like our holy father Mark Eugenicus. Similar to: House of the Euphrates...
Grant, Jesus, the cleansing of my immeasurable sins, my Jesus, my Savior Jesus, it is impossible for you to eat anything.
Grant, O Jesus, Thy greater peace from passions than the mind, my Jesus, my Savior, my Jesus, quenching my placeless aspirations.
Fill my heart, O Jesus, with Thy unspeakable love, O my Jesus, my Savior Jesus, Thy unworthy servant.
Open, O Jesus, the eyes of my soul and reveal, my Jesus, my Savior Jesus, your eternal Light.
Open, Jesus, the gates of heaven, and receive in the midst of that, my Jesus, my Savior Jesus, the faulty me.
Theotokos. You are the firm intercession of Christians, the glory of fasters, the undefiled Virgin, save those who honor You.
Another, the creation of one of the saints of our father Mark Eugenics. Similar to: The most honest Cherub...
Jesus, sweetest Jesus, Jesus, Divine and revered, Jesus, name and thing, my Christ, my Jesus, my Savior, my Jesus, I pray: save me.
Jesus, sweetest Jesus, Jesus, salvation of the world, Jesus, and protection of the monastics, my Jesus, my Savior, my Jesus, give me contrition.
Jesus, sweetest Jesus, Jesus, purification of my mind, Jesus, delight of my soul, joy and gladness, my Christ, my Jesus, I sing, I praise Thee.
Jesus, sweetest Jesus, Jesus, my breath, my Jesus, the sweetness of my heart, my God, my Jesus, my love, my Jesus, my light, save me.
Jesus, sweetest Jesus, Jesus, my life, my Jesus, my love, every longing of my soul and body, my peace, my light, Jesus, save me.
Jesus, sweetest Jesus, Jesus, Bridegroom of our souls, Jesus, sobriety of my hearts, my Christ, my Jesus, my God, my Jesus, enlighten me, save me.
Jesus, sweetest Jesus, love of my soul, sweetness of my heart, Jesus, my Savior, my consolation, my God, my Savior, spare me, save me.
My Jesus, kindness of thought, O my sweetest and all-merciful Jesus, accept my singing, which I now dare to bring to You from unworthy lips.

Read the touching canon to Jesus Christ
Birthplace of Jesus Christ.
Why is the akathist called the Sweetest?
No one knows the author of this song of praise, for the men of God did not seek glory for themselves, but humbly labored to praise Jesus Christ. Historians suggest that its author could be Saint Hesychius, who always emphasized the importance of Orthodox prayer in the life of every person. He believed that words spoken with sincere faith were the way to miracles.
The Akathist was named for the following reason: The Lord is Love. It is He who gives happiness and joy to those who turn to Him. This is where the name comes from.
INTERESTING: The Crucifixion of Christ.
