Sincerity is the key to peace
Every thought reaches the ears of the Lord. This is why we must be careful with our thoughts. Prayers are not wrong if the energy with which they are charged is pure, and the soul that whispers them is bright. Whatever words you use to conduct a dialogue with the Lord, you should remember that these words should not be false, with a double meaning or colorless. Prayer for peace is first and foremost a desire of the soul. And the more frank this request, the louder it is for the Almighty.
You need to pray for peace not only during war and its threat, but every day. The regularity and stability of your requests is the key to peace.
Holy Blessed Prince Daniel of Moscow
High praise to the Church of Christ, the city of Moscow is an unassailable wall, the Russian powers are divine affirmation, Reverend Prince Daniel, we earnestly pray to you: look upon us (names), thy memory of those who sing, pour out your warm intercession to the Savior of all, so that our country and cities may be established in peace and may it preserve this monastery and this monastery in goodness, planting piety and love in your people, while eradicating malice, civil strife and corruption of morals: grant to all of us all that is good for temporary life and eternal salvation through your prayers, as we glorify Christ, wondrous in our saints Our God forever and ever, Amen.
From the mouths of the saints
The mission of faith on earth is great and unshakable. God's power is present in every person. Someone takes it for granted and is unable to distinguish it from the emotions that fill his heart every day. Others are endowed with the gift of understanding the purpose of existence, they constantly feel the presence of God in their lives. It is because of such people who clearly see the will of the Almighty next to them that the glory of the Orthodox faith spreads. The life goal of such believers is to help God in realizing his great plan.
Those who are closest to heaven are called saints. The Orthodox Church presents them not as new deities, but as preachers. A prayer for peace was born in their minds.
At certain stages of their lives, the righteous had to face earthly obstacles. In times of joy, sadness, disappointment, and doom, the saints turned to God. In their words they praised His deeds and asked for help.
When the homeland of the righteous was attacked by enemies, they had a sincere conversation with the Creator, in which they asked for protection. Such words have a special energy, even despite their simple meaning. Therefore, during a war, the prayer for peace on earth may be the same one that one of the saints once said.
Saint Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow
About our good shepherd, the great saint Patriarch Tikhon, as if you were a city on high, your good deeds still shine before people. We, as you, standing before the throne of the Most Holy Trinity, have great boldness in prayers before the Lord. Look now at us, sinful and unworthy of your children, for you, as you have great boldness before the Creator of all things, now we fall down and fervently pray: pray to the Lord, that He may give us the determination to acquire the piety of our fathers, which you have acquired from your youth. In your life you were a zealous protector and keeper of the true faith; help us to unshakably observe the Orthodox faith. Your quiet soul has greatly succeeded in divine humility, teach us to nourish our minds not with the turbulent human wisdom, but with the humble knowledge of the will of God. Before the face of the fierce enemies of Christ, you boldly confessed the True God; with your prayer, strengthen us, the faint-hearted, so that we will always and everywhere resist the spirit of atheism and flattery. To her, saint of God, do not despise us who pray to you (names), for we ask not only for deliverance from troubles and sorrows, but for strength and firmness, generosity and love, in order to endure these misfortunes that befall us. Ask us for unflagging patience even until the end of our lives, peace with the Lord and remission of sins. Holy Father! Tame the winds of unbelief and unrest in our country, may the Lord establish silence and piety and unfeigned love in the Russian land. With your prayers may you save us from internecine warfare, may we strengthen our Holy Orthodox Church, may it not become depleted of true shepherds, good workers who rightly rule the word of the Gospel truth. God forbid the lost sheep of Christ's flock. Most of all, pray to the Lord of strength, that the Russian Land may be reborn with holy repentance, and with one heart and one mouth glorify Divnago in His saints, glorifying God in the Trinity, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.
From whom should we ask for peace?
A person who has lived through it understands the misfortune of war more. Therefore, it will be correct if you begin to speak in the words of those saints who experienced and endured turbulent times.
The Monk Silouan of Athos knows what misfortunes military affairs can bring. His parents forced him to enlist in the military, but his spirituality won out. His lyrics are full of enlightenment and consolation. Therefore, you can ask for peace from this saint.
A prayer for peace read in front of the icon of the Mother of God has great power. The Orthodox Church has great respect for the Mother of God. The Virgin Mary helps everyone and often works miracles. She is the protector of goodness and purity and has the power to repel enemy arrows from those who ask for it.
In any situation, good or bad, the first helper is “Our Father.” The prayer was sent to people by the Lord himself. Jesus Christ taught her to read at the request of his disciples. It is the basis of every person’s prayer process.
Prayer before the Icon of the Mother of God “Sovereign” 2nd
O Intercessor of the world, Mother of All Singing! With fear, faith and love, we fall before Your honorable “Sovereign” icon, and earnestly pray to You: do not turn Your face away from those who come running to You. Pray, merciful Mother of light, Your Son and our God, the sweetest Lord Jesus Christ, to preserve our country in peace, to establish our state in prosperity and to deliver us from internecine warfare; may he strengthen our Holy Orthodox Church and protect her unshakably from unbelief, schism and heresies. The imams have no other help than You, Most Pure Virgin: You are the all-powerful Intercessor of Christians before God, softening His righteous anger. Deliver all who pray to You with faith from the falls of sin, from the slander of evil people, from hunger, sorrow and disease. Grant us the spirit of contrition, humility of heart, purity of thoughts, correction of sinful lives and forgiveness of our sins; May we all, who gratefully praise Thy greatness, be worthy of the Heavenly Kingdom, and there, with all the Saints, let us glorify the Most Honorable and Magnificent Name in the Trinity of the glorified God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Peace in every home
Talking to God is a ritual that a person should carry out every day. In general, there are two rules that need to be followed when talking with the Almighty. First, speech to the Creator must be unfeigned, because a person who speaks with his heart will always receive an answer. Words should not be just a mechanical whisper, but thoughtful, complete sentences. But it is worth remembering that such a ritual is a conversation with your father, friend, mentor, who sees right through you and from whom you cannot hide anything.
The second rule is regularity. The prayer for peace on earth must be said daily, because every minute somewhere on the planet there is fighting and people are dying. The more often you ask for people who are alien to you, for peace on another continent, the kinder the Creator will be to your land. After all, every Orthodox Christian knows that God is omnipotent and righteous; he boomerangs back to man what he wishes for others.
Vera through the monitor
The 21st century is the time of Internet technologies. Shopping, communicating with people from the other side of the world, watching the world through online broadcasting - all this and more can be provided by the global network.
With the help of the Internet, a new prayer for peace has become popular. Karina Vestova, the author of the prayer, a native of Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine), could not stay away from the events taking place in the country. The difficult situation touched the heart of the young performer so much that the pain poured out into a prayer that she sang. Karina's clip can be viewed on the Internet. The words are permeated through and through with sadness and a bright desire to help.
Prayer before the Icon of the Mother of God “Sovereign” 1st
Sovereign Lady, the Most Holy Theotokos, holding in Her arms the Heavenly King who contains the entire universe! We thank You for Your ineffable mercy, for You deigned to show us, sinners and unworthy, this holy and miraculous icon of Yours in these evil and cruel days, like a whirlwind, like a windy storm that came upon our country, in the days of our humiliation and reproach, in the days of ruin and desecration of our holy things from crazy people, who not only in their hearts, but also with their lips boldly say: there is no God; and in deeds this godlessness is shown. We thank Thee, the Intercessor, for Thou hast looked down from Thy holy height upon our sorrow and the grief of the Orthodox children, and like the bright sun, gladdening our eyes, exhausted from sorrow, with the sweet sight of Thy Sovereign image, O most blessed Mother of God, Sovereign Helper, strong Intercessor! Thanking Thee with fear and trembling, as slaves of indecency, we fall down to Thee with tenderness, with contrition of heart and with tears, and we pray to Thee, and we lamentably cry out to Thee: save us, save us! Help us, help us! Struggling: we are dying! Behold, our belly is approaching hell; behold, we have suffered many sins, many troubles, many enemies. O Heavenly Queen! With the scepter of Thy Divine power, dispel, like dust, like smoke, the wicked machinations of our enemies, visible and invisible, crush their lofty thoughts and forbid them, and like the Mother of all, guide them on the right and godly path. Root truth, peace and joy about the Holy Spirit into the hearts of all of us; Bring peace, prosperity, serenity, and unfeigned love for each other to our country. With Your omnipotent power, O Most Pure One, restrain the streams of lawlessness that want to drown the Russian land in their terrible abyss. Support us, weak, faint-hearted, infirm and despondent, strengthen, uplift and save us: as we always keep under Your power, we sing and magnify Your Most Honorable and Magnificent Name, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Priests pray for peace
The Orthodox Church has not remained aloof from progress. Religious representatives register on social networks, create blogs, and post videos. And all this in order to become closer to your flock. With such innovations, it is possible to worship in great churches virtually.
Today, online faith has acquired a special status. Considering the situation on earth, it is very important that the prayer for peace be said by as many people as possible at the same moment. After all, words that are spoken in unison have the greatest power in the sky. A request literally turns into an arrow that steadily moves towards its goal.
Special sites offer their services in such matters. They post the date and time of the start of the prayer process on their pages, publish the necessary information and provide direct broadcasts from churches.
You can join the process in front of your computer monitor, which is happening thousands of kilometers from your home.
City of Peace
The word "Jerusalem" itself has the same root as the word "shalom" (peace) in Hebrew (ש.ל.מ = sh.l.m.), which can be clearly heard if you pronounce the name in Hebrew: "Yerushalayim" . Interestingly, the word “to pay” has the same root “leShalem”. Payment or transaction in exchange for goods provided establishes peace between the two parties according to the agreement. “Shalem” in Hebrew also means “to complete,” and “shalom,” as stated above, means “peace.” So, the root word for the name of God's chosen city is rich in meaning, especially for us who believe that Yeshua paid for our sins in order to set our relationship with God in order and restore peace between Him and us... and He did all this in Jerusalem .
This is what concerns the last part of the word - “Shalem / Salem”. What about the first part of "Jeru"? Interesting fact: the mountain where God told Abraham to sacrifice his only son was Mount Moriah - the exact place where Solomon built the Temple, and where the Second Temple was located. Yes, Abraham led his son Isaac to exactly where Jerusalem is now located. It was this mountain that Isaac climbed, carrying wood on his back for his own sacrificial death, until God stopped Abraham by providing a ram as a substitute sacrifice in Isaac's place. And this is where the "Jeru" part of the word is supposed to originate. In the book of Genesis, chapter 22, the word (in Hebrew) “see” appears several times. And this is right after Hagar calls God “He who sees.” Genesis 22:14 says, “And Abraham called the place Jehovah-Jireh. And today people still say: 'On this mountain you see the Lord'" (Modern translation). However, many translate the combination “Jehovah-Jireh” as “The Lord will provide.” And of course, the most common translation of “Jehovah-Jireh” is “God is my Provider.” The context of the verse implies that the word "see" refers to provision/provision. In verse 8 we see the same thing - the verb "shall see" translated as "will provide": Isaac asks his father about the lamb for the burnt offering, and Abraham says to his son, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." Perhaps it means something like “God will take care of it.” But all these words have a common root “to see” - “yire”. Even the name of Mount Moriah has the same root.
So the word "Jerusalem" means something like "God will provide/provide fully and pay for peace."
Of course, God sees everything that is happening in Jerusalem these days. Sin abounds on both sides of the conflict, and God is saddened by it. We know from the Scriptures that God has many plans for Jerusalem and that Yeshua will return to the Mount of Olives. This time He will return not as a suffering slave, but to reign as a conquering king. He will restore order to everything. When He returns, there will be political and supernatural peace. But until then, we need to fight for peace through prayer - for that peace with God that Messiah Yeshua has already paid for. The city, of course, is important to God, but people are more important to Him.
“Thus says the Lord God: This is Jerusalem! I have placed him among the nations, and the lands around him.” (Ezekiel 5:5)
As long as it is in God's interest, Jerusalem is at the center of the world. Biblical Hebrew calls it the “navel” or top of the earth in Ezekiel 38:12! The word “Jerusalem” appears 881 times in the Bible, 667 times in the Old Testament (or Tanakh as it is called here in Israel), and 144 times in the New Testament. There is no other place that God calls “My city” (Isaiah 45:13), the city He has chosen as His dwelling place. However, God was pleased to destroy His own Temple and the entire city of Jerusalem because of Israel's disobedience. This tells us that it is not so much the city itself and its buildings that occupies a central place in His heart, but the holiness of His people and His relationship with them. Of course, both the Temple and the city itself are of great importance in the list of His values, but not as much as the relationship with His children. This is where true peace resides—in the hearts of people who are in right relationship with their God.
The best way to pray for peace is to pray for people to be saved. The Bible teaches that if our minds rest entirely on the Lord, our hearts will be kept at peace (Isaiah 26:3). It is necessary that this becomes our prayer for all Jews and Palestinians, politicians and employees, workers and ordinary people - for everyone: that God may draw them to Himself and lead them on a journey of faith, that they may trust in Him and have the peace that comes only from Yeshua.
A request for peace from the Head
The first person who directly spreads the word of God is the mentor of the Orthodox Church - Patriarch Kirill. Under his guidance, a special prayer for peace can be said.
The future patriarch was born on November 20, 1946 in Leningrad into a deeply devout family. My father worked as a chief mechanic at a plant, who later became an Orthodox priest. Mother is a German teacher at school.
Both parents were buried at the Bolsheokhtinsky cemetery in St. Petersburg.
The tonsure took place on April 3, 1969, and was performed by Metropolitan Nikodim of Leningrad and Novgorod. On this day, the future patriarch was named Kirill. Since then, his life has been completely devoted to serving God.
On January 27, 2009, he was elected as the sixteenth Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'. Since then, Kirill has taken an active part not only in the spiritual life of the laity, but also freely expresses his political beliefs.
From time to time, the patriarch, who closely follows world events, gives special sermons. In God's liturgies, he often turns to the Lord with separate requests, among which there is a prayer for peace. Patriarch Kirill selects precise, deep words. Prayers are always full of warmth and emotion. He wishes with all his heart for the war to end, which is why his words can be addressed to the Almighty.
His new prayers can be found in religious publications.

(In the space in front of you, imagine the objects of refuge - the countless manifestations of the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha - surrounding Arya Tara in her white or green form. Around you are all sentient beings in human form, together with you generating the attitude of refuge and bodhichitta and offering powerful prayers of well-being )
Refuge and bodhichitta
Shakya Sribhadra
With the desire to liberate all beings as my motivation, I will continuously take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha until I achieve the essence of enlightenment.(3x)
With wisdom and sincere love, Diligently, for the benefit of sentient beings, I will appear before the Buddhas and generate the perfect attitude of bodhichitta. (3x)
Four immeasurable
May all living beings have happiness and its causes. May all living beings be free from suffering and its causes. May all living beings never part with carefree bliss. May all living beings remain in equanimity, free from prejudice, attachment and anger.
Brief seven-part practice
I respectfully prostrate with my body, speech and mind And offer clouds of all kinds of gifts, real and mentally transformed. I confess all my destructive actions accumulated since beginningless times, And I rejoice in the virtues of all saints and ordinary beings. Please remain until the completion of cyclical existence, and turn the wheel of Dharma for the sake of sentient beings. I dedicate all virtues, my own and others, to the great awakening. A song addressed to Mama Tara in these ominous times
Bhikkhuni Thubten Chödron
OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA . The dancing gait of your peaceful, smiling form shows hope, cheerfulness and kindness. We need this now - in these times when those who call themselves leaders with their distorted views are dragging the world into hatred and violence. Without allowing ourselves to be influenced by evil, and by firmly adhering to virtue, we will remember the support of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and present a united front with all who strive for peace; maintaining a sense of our own integrity, let us cultivate tolerance, compassion, forgiveness and generosity; With an eye on others, we will begin to behave in a way that awakens empathy, reconciliation, peace and kindness. THERE – we ask, by the light of your inner joy radiating throughout the universe, inspire us to act with compassion in this dream-like world.
OM NAMA TARE NAMO HARE HUM HARE SOHA . The fierce posture of your angry, red-emitting form suppresses all disturbing thoughts and harmful actions. With mindfulness of our vows and self-observant awareness that monitors the activities of our body, speech and mind, we will immediately avert all evil. We will become clear in expressing the truth and skillful in judging when to speak and act and when to allow illusory appearances to fade away on their own. HUM – with the light of your demanding wisdom, inspire us to pacify our own obscurations and the obscurations of all living beings.
OM TARE TUTTARE TURE PE . Recognizing that our own lives are temporary, like a flash of lightning, we will not waste time in distraction and despair, but will lovingly reach out to connect with each and every living being. With perseverance we will begin to plumb the depths of our own minds, recognizing the stillness and silence of their ultimate nature. PE – guide us with your sparkling white light so that our own veils and the veils of everyone else evaporate into emptiness; then, like you, we will remain until the end of samsara to liberate all beings who are lost in self-preoccupation and clinging to “I.”
(as many times as possible)
OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SVAHA (imagining that from Tara emanate streams of light that dispel all suffering and bestow all realizations, repeat the mantra as many times as possible)
Grief and Hope: Prayer to Guan Yin
Bhikkhuni Thubten Chödron
Guan Yin, who hears the cry heard in the world! We ask you to listen to the grief and hope we pour out.
Like frightened children who seek protection and refuge in the comforting arms of their mother, we, the children of Dharma, seek protection and refuge from you in moments of sadness and horror regarding the suffering of samsara.
Who are you? Nothing other than wisdom and compassion—the wisdom and compassion of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and our own hidden wisdom and compassion that can grow and become like yours.
In tragic situations, may we turn to wisdom and compassion, finding comfort in their protective embrace. Seeing that all beings strive only for happiness and never desire suffering, may we give up despair, anger and the desire to blame someone.
May all who suffer from loss and grief, from horror and indignation, turn into the fountains of wisdom and compassion that flow into this world and heal the pain of beings.
May all those who have died in avoidable tragedies let go of all attachment to this life and move on to the next life with hearts full of wisdom and compassion. Filled with love, may we accompany them with prayers for their birth in your pure land.
As we hold ourselves and others accountable for our bad deeds, may we also hear the cry of the world; May we all overcome self-centered attitudes with compassion and create a better world - a world in which everyone strives to benefit each other.
OM MANI PADME HUM (as many times as possible)
Prayer to pacify the horrors of war

In these times, when beings experience an oceanic surge of Negative karma and envy - in the eras of the five types of decline and enmity - powerful suffering, struggle and strife dominate us. I pray, burn them all in the fires of your compassionate wisdom!

May the malevolent spirits of the elements, Who penetrate the minds of beings And instantly transform their hosts into warring asuras, Never again rule over this region.
Let all those who died in battles, struggles and wars Immediately renounce the creation of destructive karma - causes and effects - And, being reborn in the pure kingdom of Sukhavati, May everyone be led to the same dimension of buddhas.
May all beings enjoy longevity and health, be free from quarrels and enmity, live in accordance with the ten virtues, and experience timely rains and abundant harvests - And may the auspiciousness of the environment and beings increase substantially.

The prayer that saved Sakya from illness
Tangtong Gyalpo
May all illnesses that trouble the minds of living beings And arise from karma and temporary conditions - For example, harm caused by spirits, diseases and elements - Never again arise in any of the kingdoms of this world.
Let any suffering that arises due to life-threatening diseases, which, like a butcher leading an animal to slaughter In just a moment, separates the body from the mind, Never again arise in any of the kingdoms of this world.
Let none of the embodied beings be harmed by acute, chronic and infectious diseases, the very name of which can cause the same horror that you feel when you find yourself in the jaws of the Lord of Death Yama.
May the 80,000 classes of harmful obstructive forces, the 360 evil spirits that harm without warning, the 424 types of diseases, etc. Never harm any of the embodied beings!
May any suffering that arises due to the disorder of the four elements, depriving the body and mind of any pleasure, Be completely pacified, and may the body and mind have radiance and power And have longevity, good health and prosperity.
By the power of the compassion of the guru and the Three Jewels, by the power of the dakinis, Dharma protectors and guardians, and by the power of the unfailing law of karma and its fruits, May these many devotional prayers and aspirations be immediately fulfilled!
Prayer to Dispel Mass Famine
Tangtong Gyalpo
First you generated the highest spirit of unsurpassed awakening, Steadfastly aiming at the liberation of sentient beings, infinite in number; Then perfected the two accumulations, O compassionate Victorious One, whose love embraces beings deprived of any protector in these times of decline: Protect them strictly!
For the sake of those beings who are tormented by hunger, thirst, hardship and suffering, Rain upon the world and the Land of Snows all pleasant objects that the senses can enjoy, Including gems, food, wealth, grain and beds!
Calm the harm among the four elements, Timeless wind and fire or unfavorable rains and waters! Let the grains, plants, crops and the like Fully ripen, just like in the golden age!
Through the power of such aspirations, Inspired by loving-kindness and compassion, May disease, weapons and hunger be completely subdued, And beings enjoy long life, good health, prosperity and happiness!
By virtue of the compassion of the Victorious Ones and their successors, And the unfailing power of the interdependence of cause and effect, May the teachings of the Victorious Ones spread and flourish, and all beings quickly achieve unrivaled awakening!
Prayer to prevent nuclear war
Kyabje Chatral Rinpoche
Namo guru ratna-trayaya!
The guide of this successful era, the crown jewel of the Shakyas, the Second Buddha, Lord Orgyen Tsokye, the Eight close offspring headed by the Supreme and noble Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri and Vajrapani, the Twenty-one Taras and the assembly of noble elders, the Root Lamas and lineage lamas, peaceful and wrathful the yidam deities, the Dakinis of the three places, the dharmic protectors of wisdom, the Guardians of the four directions, and the seventy illustrious protectors; Great masters endowed with the ability of clairvoyance and performing miracles: With all your wisdom, direct your attention to all beings involved in conflicts!
The collective negative karma of beings in this last dark era Foams like a great ocean; Good is neglected, and evil maras Powerfully disturb the minds of those who are endowed with power and influence, Spewing out wars that can turn this world into dust. Hurricanes of weapons borne by perverted aspirations are released to instantly reduce the entire universe and its inhabitants to ashes.
These signs - bad omens of impending total destruction - Are clearly manifested in the sights, sounds and thoughts of our world, But ignorant people continue to dwell in the web of delusion and doubt - They are so incredibly stupid that they do not notice any threat. As soon as we hear or think about such changes in the world, we are filled with horror. We have no way or hope of averting these events, minus [appealing to] the foolish Three Jewels and Three Roots, To which we appeal like little children attracting the attention of their parents with their crying.
Please hear our desperate prayers and remember the promises we made before! With the speed of lightning, stretch out your compassionate hands, To support and shelter those who are without protection, to free us from our horror.
When the mighty barbarians, who plunder the happiness of the creatures of this world, Plot their battles, We pray, convert these leaders and their minions - Those who so mercilessly do evil - Into supporters of peace, happiness and harmony.
We pray, eliminate unfavorable circumstances and wars where they are present, by driving out and destroying the devil's nuclear weapons.
We pray: throughout our vast planet, bring longevity to Dharma teachers by increasing learning and realization in all directions.
Free the world from the clutches of malevolent gangs of humans and non-humans who haunt the teachings and wandering creatures. Let their very name be forgotten! May vast happiness pervade the whole world, And beings, through the glorious four aspirations, ascend to the truly sublime. May times become perfect and free from the harm of wars and strife, as in the golden age, And may everyone constantly dance in rapture in bliss and joy.
By the power of compassion of the ocean of the Triple Jewels And by the power of truth of the dharmadhatu, endowed with all the highest aspects, May that for which our pure prayers are addressed be fulfilled, And all our hopes and aspirations equally be realized. Tadyatha panchendriyavabodhaniye svaha!
Prayer for Peace and Stability
Jamgon Kongtrul (with additions by Garchen Rinpoche)
Reliable sources of refuge - Buddha, Dharma and Sangha and gurus, yidams and dakinis, And especially Avalokiteshvara, protector of the Land of Snows, Together with Noble Tara and Guru Padmasambhava We pray to you: think of us and of the sacred vows that you have taken!
Grant your blessings so that our aspiration prayers may be fully fulfilled. The creatures of this era of decline think and act in perverted ways, and disturbances in the elements - both external and internal - mean that diseases and pestilences unknown in times gone by threaten humans and animals alike.
The forces of the planets, nagas, gyalpos, obstructive spirits and jungpo demons Cause blight, frost and hail, poor harvests, war and conflict, untimely rains and ominous omens for the whole world
; There is fear of earthquakes, fire, enemies and environmental disaster, and especially of external invaders who could harm the exercise.
May all types of harm and violence in this world be quickly pacified and completely eliminated. May the precious supreme bodhichitta naturally arise in the minds of all beings, both human and non-human, so that they will never again think or act harmfully and violently. May everyone's minds be filled with love for each other!
May the whole world enjoy abundant views of splendor, happiness and prosperity, And may the teachings of the Buddha flourish and be preserved! By the power of truth embodied in the Three Roots, in the Buddhas and their successors, And by the power of all sources of merit in samsara and nirvana, And by our own completely pure, good intentions, May this prayer of our aspiration be fulfilled!
Prayer to end gender-based violence
Khamtrul Rinpoche
OM MAMA HUM NI SVAHA (repeat as many times as possible)
By the power of the White Umbrella Goddess, May all gender-based violence and oppression of women around the world be pacified; Let peace and harmony manifest throughout the world!
Global Environmental Crisis: A Prayer of Aspiration
His Holiness Sakya Trichen
One-pointedly, with ardent faith and devotion, I pray to Lord Buddha, Master Padmakara, Padmapani, Venerable Tara and other deities, in whom all the Three Precious Gems are collected: I ask you to compassionately direct your enlightened intention towards us from the invisible expanse of reality!
All eons of time, which are famous for life and merit, are destroyed by malicious thoughts and actions and evil barbarism. Therefore, would you compassionately direct your enlightened intention towards sentient beings who, deprived of good opportunities, Perform a huge number of defective actions that embody the five types of degradation?
Due to the rapacious greed that thirsts for the world's resources, trees, forests, etc. are cut down, which causes an imbalance in the rainwater element. May you quickly and compassionately protect sentient beings who fall into such calamitous circumstances!
In order to put into service countless different machines, mines are bursting without limit, and because of these actions, the Abodes of the spirits of sky, water and earth are deprived of balance. Therefore, bestow your blessings so that the darkness associated with the elements will be mitigated.
The air is polluted by billowing clouds of smoke from countless factories, And because of this primary cause, the whole world is shaking with unprecedented diseases. Grant your blessings so that he will be protected from such calamities!
In particular, due to insatiable desires and passions, rude human behavior crushes the physical world and the organisms inhabiting it into dust, creating an imbalance of the four naturally occurring elements. Therefore, bestow your blessings so that everyday aggregates will be brought to rest exactly where they are, without any harm!
The poison of global warming, caused by the widespread and constant use of machines, Causes the melting of existing snowy mountains, And the oceans, as a result, bring the world close to the end of an eon. Grant your blessings so that the world will be protected from such conditions!
Moreover, there are incurable skin diseases that arise due to holes in the natural ozone layer that holds back the intolerable and frightening poisonous radiation of the sun. Grant your blessings so that these phenomena will be pacified and only their name will remain!
In short, due to strong desire and passions, This world, generated by ordinary past actions, Begins to quickly turn into a desert. Grant your blessings so that the evil actions of the past, which are responsible for this, Disappear, wherever they are!
Although the entire collection of defects that affect the physical world and its living organisms Was generated by discordant mental states that are associated with the actions of the past, Forming all the primary and secondary disharmonious mental states - I still pray that through the indestructible power of truth, the Three Precious Gems , All points of this aspiration prayer have come true!
Prayer of aspiration regarding climate change
Thrangu Rinpoche
May the blessings of the sublime sources of refuge: the Buddha, his Teachings and Community - the Three Jewels - And the spiritual teachers, meditative deities and protectors of the Buddhist teachings - the Three Roots - completely pacify the horrors of disease, famine and war, Together with the chaotic disorders of the four elements - Threatening and terrifying the danger that the whole world will turn into a vast wasteland, As the temperature imbalance causes the melting and shrinking of strong glaciers, massifs of snowy mountains, Which affects the rivers and lakes, due to which the virgin forests and beautiful trees are close to death!
May the sublime gifts of good fortune and spiritual and worldly well-being flourish, And may all beings cherish each other with love and kindness, So that their joy may fully blossom! May all their goals be fulfilled in accordance with the holy teachings!
Aspiration for peace
His Holiness the 17th Karmapa
Throughout the entire length of the precious land in this vast world May the goodness of beings appear like the reflections of endless moons, Whose refreshing presence brings lasting well-being and happiness, May the beautiful collection of night-blooming lilies be revealed, signs of peace and joy.
Aspirations that correspond to the Dharma
Dodrubchen Jigme Tenpei Nyima
When I am happy, it is you who I praise and honor; When I suffer, it is to you that I cry for help; You are my source of hope in this life and protection in the next - Padmasambhava, Avalokiteshvara, and my kindest root teacher.
Although you take these different names and forms, In the space of your wisdom and your deeds you are indistinguishable, So considering you not different, but merged into one - I pray to you: hold me with your compassion! At all times and in all situations, inspire me with your blessings!
Now that I have acquired this human existence with its freedoms and benefits, May I realize the most essential teachings! Life, like a winter day, lasts only a short time, so let me devote it to what is endowed with meaning: Dharma!
If I suddenly face death, May the teachings quickly come to my rescue! When I set out on the long path to the next life, May my supplies of Dharma be abundant!
Having sowed the seed of Dharma in this life, May I reap a bountiful harvest in the next! Wherever my birth takes place, whatever my destination, May my inclination towards the Dharma awaken!
Happiness or suffering, good or bad - no matter what happens, May I always surrender to the Dharma! Since this is the perfect gateway to the Dharma, May the roots of my faith be strong!
Since this is the certain foundation of Dharma, May my training in non-violence be stable! Since this is the life axis of Dharma, May I follow the path that corresponds to how everything truly is!
Since this is the pure quintessence of the Dharma, May I master bodhichitta in both its aspects! Since the six-syllable mantra is the lord of practices, Let me recite it and meditate unwaveringly!
May I realize the Dharma authentically and without obstacles, and may I find favorable conditions in abundance, exactly as I desire! I accept teachers and deities as witnesses: May these prayers of mine, aspirations for the Dharma, fall as seeds into fertile soil, and may they unmistakably come true, never going in vain!
General prayers for dedicating merit
By the power of this merit, may we soon achieve the awakening of the guru-buddha, so that all sentient beings can be freed from their suffering.
Let the precious bodhi-mind, which has not arisen, ascend; That which has arisen, let it not weaken, but increase immeasurably.
By the power of this merit, may the venerable Lady Tara take care of me and all living beings. May we behold the face of Buddha Amitabha and be reborn as Sukhavati. May we enjoy the Mahayana teachings.
So that I can achieve complete omniscience, I ask you to quickly pacify all obstacles, obstacles, Obstacles, epidemics, diseases and so on, Various causes of untimely death, Bad dreams and omens, eight fears and other obscurations, And make them no longer existed.
Dedication of merit to a meaningful life
Lama Zopa Rinpoche
Whatever actions I perform - whether I eat, walk, sit, sleep, work, and so on - and any experiences in my life: ups or downs, happiness or unhappiness, health or illness, harmony or discord, success or failure, wealth or poverty, praise or criticism - whether I live or die, or even if I undergo a terrifying rebirth; Whether I live long or not, may my life be useful for all beings. The main goal of my life is not to simply have wealth, respect, fame, health and happiness. The meaning of my life is to benefit all living beings. Therefore, from now on, let any actions I perform be beneficial for all living beings. Let everything I experience in life - happiness or suffering - be dedicated to the realization in my mind of the path to awakening. May everything I do, say or think benefit all sentient beings and help them quickly achieve full awakening.
Verses of dedication of merit from the text “The Way of the Bodhisattva”
Shantideva
May, through the power of my merit, Creatures from all directions of the world, Suffering in mind and body, find an ocean of happiness and joy.
May no living creature suffer, commit evil, and never get sick. Let no one fear or be humbled With a mind gripped by despondency.
Let the blind see forms, And the deaf hear sounds. May those whose bodies are worn out by toil Rise up and find respite.
Let the naked receive clothing, the hungry - food, the thirsty - water and delicious drinks.
May the poor find wealth, And the mourners joy; May the despairing find hope, Lasting happiness and prosperity.
May there be timely rains and abundant harvests; May all medicines be effective and beneficial prayers bear fruit.
May those who are sick and suffering from illnesses be quickly freed from their illnesses. Let none of the diseases in the world arise again.
Let the frightened find fearlessness, Let the chained be freed; Let the weak gain strength, And let people think about how to help each other.
As long as space exists, As long as the living live, May Suffering remain indestructible and dispel the darkness.

A request for health to the enemy
Friends don't bring war. They will not go against their brother in faith. People whose faith is real live by the laws of God and do not dare to break them. But when trouble comes your way, praying for peace will help. Along with asking for clear skies, one should ask for one more favor—wisdom to one’s enemies, kindness in their intentions.
Whether by their own convictions or by order of their leadership, they raise their hands against their brothers—it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that darkness, thick and hopeless, penetrated into their souls. They do not understand their mistakes and cannot beg forgiveness for themselves. Therefore, the task of others is to ask the Lord to open their eyes.
By starting a war, they go not only against another people, but also against God. The invader will be punished, since his behavior does not have good intentions. The Almighty will protect the defender and will himself lead him to the gates of heaven.
Someone will think: “Why ask for the health of someone who wants to kill you?”, but it is in such situations that the whole essence of Orthodoxy is revealed - cordiality, mercy and humility. In addition to the above, your request for help to the enemy will reach the skies. But wishing death to your enemy will not go to heaven, but will hit you twice as hard.
Prayer “Ask for peace for Jerusalem” on Holy Saturday
... Exactly ten years ago, a recruitment of children was announced at the Klenovsky House of Culture to prepare them for school. One of the initiators was a teacher from Shchapovo - Ilona Stanislavovna Simakova. Unfortunately, the group was not full, but I firmly decided that I would take my five-year-old son Misha to classes at the Shchapovsky Palace of Culture.
At the first parent meeting, Ilona Stanislavovna announced that classes with children would be held at the Sunday School at the Assumption Church, where, along with the basic subjects, she would introduce our kids to the Law of God and the fundamentals of the Orthodox faith. As far as I remember, my parents were not embarrassed by this, and they even made me happy. At that time I myself was not only an unchurched person, but, to put it mildly, “complete darkness.” So I thought that at least someone would tell me and introduce my child to “this science.”
I’ll say right away: my son simply fell in love with Ilona Stanislavovna. He said that she was like a mother - kind and attentive. I always looked forward to the day of classes and happily got ready to go. In those days, we had a tiny class in a one-story building at the temple. But what’s surprising is that they managed to hold classes, rehearsals, and performances there! Now, after so many years, looking through old photographs, I never cease to wonder: how was this possible?..
At Sunday school we lived as one big and friendly family, all parents were involved in this life: someone cooked food, someone sewed suits, someone cleaned and washed dishes, someone photocopied educational materials, someone made agreements. about pilgrimage trips. And most importantly, we were all, as they say, “in the spirit of God” - everything was done with prayer and the word of the Lord. We all understood that our salvation in the midst of an all-consuming world was only here, at the temple.
I slowly became a church member. Like a small child, she “learned to walk.” I literally felt an information hunger that urgently needed to be satisfied. I started reading Orthodox literature. The Lord sent me believers who could answer my questions, I listened to lectures, visited holy places. If earlier I associated the word “father” with the fairy tale “The Scarlet Flower,” now I tried to take my father’s blessing to start any important business. I acquired not only knowledge. My life completely changed. Truly, the Lord makes children for himself from stones...
My boy grew up, shared what he learned at school, and retold interesting stories from the Old and New Testaments. I studied with him. Two years flew by unnoticed, the question arose - where to go to study. We wrote an application to Podolsk Lyceum No. 26 and were waiting for an invitation for testing. At the same time, I asked Ilona Stanislavovna if she knew a good, “strong” school. She replied that there is such a school in Pleskovo, plus it’s Orthodox. However, it is very difficult to enter there - a serious competitive selection among children, a conversation with parents.
For our bilingual family, where dad is Muslim, this will be very difficult. Father blessed us, because nothing is impossible for God, and we decided to try to enroll there too. I don’t want to be verbose, I’ll just say that after the first round the teachers told me that the boy had good preparation. As a result, he was admitted to Plyoskovo, and passed the test well at the Podolsk Lyceum. Of course, we did not choose and with great joy accepted the gift from the Lord.
I want to say one more thing. Before coming to Sunday school (I believe that I, like my son, came there) I was a staunch supporter of one child in the family, who should be given a decent education and upbringing. In general, my head was filled with the standard selfish thoughts of a person raised as a pioneer and a Komsomol member - and this despite the fact that I myself grew up in a large family.
Only here, in Sunday school, did I see with my own eyes the joy of large families and understood the true value of family and the purpose of a mother. In 2008, at the age of 33, my second son was born. Exactly a year later, Ilona Stanislavovna’s third daughter was born. Our children were born on the same day – May 20th.
Misha, the eldest, now attended Sunday school not twice a day, like a preschooler, but on Saturdays, still in the same small classroom in the old building. And only in 2009, with the help of God, a new two-story building was restored: the space and beauty were breathtaking! Our large family grew every year, and now the children were not crowded. I started bringing my youngest son, Matvey, to school from the age of three. He walked the same road as the eldest. Those parents whose first-born children attended Sunday School now also brought their second and third children. And now the time has come for graduation from the preschool department, ahead of which is admission to a comprehensive school. We are trying, with the blessing of the priest, again to Pleskovo. Not as easy as in the case of Misha, but they did it! Wonderful are Your deeds, O Lord, and great and sincere gratitude to my husband. Unfortunately, he did not become a Christian, but throughout the 22 years of our marriage he has been my like-minded person, a wonderful husband and father.
Ten years have already passed, and other parents and I still remember how it all began for us then, what we, our children, were like... When we get together, the phrases are heard every now and then: “do you remember how we watched the play, standing in the doorway?..”, “do you remember how small and cozy our refectory was?..”, “do you remember how mine said in class that a defeated demon turns into a dirty, stinking puddle?..”, “do you remember , how did a television crew come and make a film about the measured icon with the participation of our children?..” Such endless “do you remember” will be enough for us for the rest of our lives, because they became the powerful foundation on which our churching took place.
My life was divided into two halves: before coming to Shchapovo and after. Now, by the will of God, I teach children the basics of the Orthodox faith at the Klenovskaya Sunday School and attend the folk choir classes at the church, sometimes the priest blesses us to sing at the liturgy and evening service. Outside the church, without prayer, I cannot imagine my life and endlessly praise and glorify the Lord for the fact that ten years ago he opened the road to salvation for me and my family, the starting point of which was the Shchapov Sunday School and a wonderful, sympathetic and sincere person - Ilona Stanislavovna.

Insight from a Foolish Enemy
Christianity is a peace-loving religion. The Bible says: “If you hit one cheek, turn the other.” Orthodox Christians do not strive for evil, but rather strive for spiritual wealth. That is why prayers for the peace of the whole world should begin with a request for help to those who are not illuminated by the gracious rays of the Lord.
You need to pray for the enemy like this:
“O Most High, You are mighty and just. I know, Your servant, that the enemy did not come to my homeland from Your will. It was not You who ordered him to cause trouble and sow death. But it is in Your power, God, to stop him. Not an arrow, not a fire, not a disease. Give him wisdom, let him understand what his hands do, he does everything from the evil one. Shade him with Your light, direct him to Your truth. For Your power is endless. I trust in You, my God. I want to live in peace with the enemy. With Your help, I want him to become my friend and brother. Amen".
To the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky
Quick helper to all those who diligently come running to you and our warm representative before the Lord, holy and faithful Grand Duke Alexandra! Look mercifully upon me, unworthy, for the many iniquities that your servant (name) has committed is indecent, now flowing to the race of your relics (to your holy icon) and calling out to you from the depths of your heart. In your life you were a zealot and defender of the Orthodox faith: and strengthen us in it with your warm, unshakable prayers to God. You carefully carried out the great service entrusted to you: and with your help, instruct us to abide in what we are called to eat. You, having defeated the regiments of the adversary, drove him away from the borders of Russia: and overthrew all visible and invisible enemies who took up arms against us. You, having abandoned the corruptible crown of the earthly kingdom, have chosen a silent life, and now you are righteously crowned with an incorruptible crown in heaven: intercede for us, we humbly pray to you, for a quiet and serene life, and arrange for us a steady procession to the eternal Kingdom through your intercession. Standing with all the saints at the throne of God, praying for all Orthodox Christians, may the Lord God preserve them with His grace in peace, health, longevity and all prosperity in the coming years, may we ever glorify and bless God in the Trinity of the Most Holy, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
Words that will reach the skies
A prayer for peace will create a tremendous effect. The text below is simple and modest:
“Almighty and Merciful God! Forgive us sinners. Sorry for the evil that we do against each other. For evil, which is expressed in actions and inaction, in intentional and accidental thoughts. Thank you, God, for the bright day and transparent night. We ask You, the Only One, to grant us the joy of a peaceful sky. Take away our enemies and foes, dark-hearted ill-wishers, from our land. Give them peace of mind. Let those who took up arms come to their senses. Because the only weapon that is sharper than sword blades and more accurate than bullets is Your word. His task is high. It heals, it shines, it’s the only thing people should fight with. If our fate is to accept an enemy and a villain on our land, then we ask You, Lord, give us the courage to understand this lesson. Give me strength to survive it. For You, Great One, have Your own reason for everything. Amen"
Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia
Holy New Martyr and Confessor of the Russian Church, hear our fervent prayer! We, as children from you, listened to the ancient passion-bearers and thought in our hearts how kind and praiseworthy it is to imitate them, even though neither torment nor death separated them from the love of God. It is good for you, for you followed the nature of the faith and patience of those, and since at any time it is possible to bring upon us an unexpected test, ask from the Lord for us the gift of courage, which is so useful in the life of mankind. Having sanctified all the ends of our Fatherland through your suffering, as prayer books common to all of us, beg God to deliver our Fatherland from a yoke more terrible than any other. And may we and our entire family be forgiven the sin that weighs heavily on the Russian people: the murder of the Tsar, the anointed of God, the saints and shepherds with their flock, and the suffering of confessors, and the desecration of our shrines. May the schisms in our Church be abolished, may they all be one, and may the Lord bring His workers into the harvest, may the Church not become destitute of good shepherds, who are able to enlighten with the light of the true faith such a great multitude of people who have not been taught the faith or have turned away from the faith. You are unworthy of God’s mercy, but rather suffer for your sake, may Christ our God be merciful and have mercy on all of us who call on you for help. Let us always offer Him, our Savior, together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, contrition for sins and thanksgiving for everything, glorifying Him forever and ever. Amen.
Tiny Planet Family
Your family is a small universe that also needs protection. Prayer for peace in the home will protect not only your loved ones, but also people you don’t know. How?
God's plan is very simple. By asking for grace for your loved ones, you place a dome over them, through which disaster will not pass. By praying for peace and tranquility in the family and for each individual member, you also include their friends, neighbors, and relatives. The Lord will not allow war and disease to come closer to them, He will cover them with His hand from all troubles.
Peace in the world is the desperate prayer of every single person.
Saint Righteous John of Kronstadt
O great servant of Christ, holy and righteous Father John of Kronstadt, wondrous shepherd, quick helper and merciful representative! Raising praise to the triune God, you prayerfully cried out: “Your name is Love: do not reject me who is erring. Your name is Strength: strengthen me, who is weak and falling. Your name is Light: enlighten my soul, darkened by worldly passions. Your name is Peace: pacify my restless soul. Your name is Mercy: do not cease to be merciful to me.” Now, grateful to your intercession, the all-Russian flock prays to you: Christ-named and righteous servant of God! With your love, illumine us, sinners and weaklings, grant us the ability to bear fruits worthy of repentance and to partake without condemnation of the Holy Mysteries of Christ: with your power strengthen our faith in us, support us in prayer, heal ailments and illnesses, deliver us from the misfortunes of enemies visible and invisible: with the light of your face our servants and incite the primates of the altar of Christ to the holy deeds of pastoral work, grant upbringing to an infant, instruct youth, support old age, illuminate the shrines of churches and holy monasteries: die, most wonder-working and most visionary, the peoples of our country, by the grace and gift of the Holy Spirit, deliver from internecine warfare; Collect the scattered, convert the seduced and unite the holy congregations and apostles of the Church: by your grace preserve marriage in peace and like-mindedness, grant success and blessing to the monastics in good deeds, give comfort to the cowardly, those suffering from unclean spirits, freedom, in the needs and circumstances of those who exist, have mercy on us all instruct the path of salvation: in Christ living, our Father John, lead us to the unevening light of eternal life, so that with you we may be worthy of eternal bliss, praising and exalting God forever and ever. Amen.
