100 prayers for quick help. Main prayers for money and material well-being

Introduction Help is coming!

Life in poverty, asceticism and fasting is the lot of the elect, a feat of monks and hermits who have received the blessing of the Lord for this.
The lot of believers living in the world is honest work and a fair reward for it. The dream of living in abundance in a home, of a stable life and confidence in the future, of a secure old age and a good life for children is not a sin if a person earns his money honestly and does not forget to take care of the weak and poor. The Lord's world is full of blessings for each of us, and everyone will find work in it according to their strengths and skills, and everyone can live in prosperity and joy if they build their lives according to the commandments of Christ.

However, this path is not always smooth and even - we often stumble and bring upon ourselves troubles, need, poverty, deception and losses. Why does this happen? The answer does not always lie on the surface - for one, poverty, failure at work and financial problems are a path to faith or a test of it, for another it is an indication of deviation from the true path and a reason to think about the correctness of one’s actions, for a third it is a call to pay attention to those in more distress and to show mercy by extending a helping hand to them.

And only prayer from the bottom of your heart will help you understand why the Lord is sending you this test and get help to get out of a difficult situation.

If you find yourself in a difficult financial situation, have lost your job, are faced with deception, theft or loss, in anguish, fear and despair, turn to the Lord, the Mother of God, the Guardian Angel and the holy saints with the words of the holy prayer, and help will definitely come!

About prayer

Is it possible to ask the Lord to grant material benefits?

When turning to the Lord with words of prayer, believers first of all pray to Him for the salvation of their souls, for the acquisition of meekness and humility, for the awakening of mercy towards their neighbors. But this does not mean that in our prayers we cannot ask the Almighty to grant us some material benefits, material well-being. Moreover, it is even necessary to make such requests to the Lord.

It is no coincidence that He created man in physical form and intended the material world for his life. All the natural needs of man - the need for food and water, for warmth and shelter, for clothing and comfort, all these needs are given to him by nature and are known to the Lord. And in order for each of us to fulfill our purpose in our earthly life, the Almighty gives us the opportunity to satisfy all our physical needs. It is no coincidence that the Orthodox Church knows a huge number of prayers addressed to the Lord, the Mother of God and the saints, with requests for a life in health and joy, for a good strong family and the birth of healthy children, for help in work and gaining material well-being.

Answered Prayers

However, if you do not receive an immediate answer to your prayers, you should not fall into despair and complain to God. A true Christian always relies on the will of the Lord and His immeasurable wisdom - remember that God has the ability not only to hear our words, but also to read in our hearts and souls. And therefore, a prayer request can only be fulfilled when it is addressed to the Almighty from a pure heart and what a person asks for will really benefit him. For the benefit not only of the body, but also of its soul.

However, sincere prayer, coming from the depths of the soul and full of hope in the will of the Lord, never remains unanswered - the peace that descends on the one praying, the feeling of consolation and the feeling of not being alone that remains in our souls after reading the prayers - this is the best answer to any appeal to God.

How to pray correctly

These questions are often asked by people who begin to read prayers: how to read them correctly - out loud or silently, whether to always remain within the framework of the canonical texts given on the pages of prayer books, or to allow prayer requests to pour out from the depths of their soul, whether to pray together with other family members or only alone, in front of the iconostasis, one holy image, or even without an icon before your eyes?

Prayers of Thanksgiving

We are used to often turning to God with requests for something. When He answers our prayers, we sometimes forget about gratitude. This is very unfair. Every time your request is fulfilled, a solution to a problem comes, or another, long-awaited or unexpected, happy event happens, offer a prayer of gratitude to God.

Everyone has something to be grateful to the Lord for. Things that seem familiar, ordinary and therefore of little value - family, health, a roof over your head, a stable job - in fact represent the greatest good given by the Creator. We need to realize this and learn to thank God every day for everything we have.

Even if your life seems hopeless, turn to the Lord with gratitude. The failures and misfortunes that He is sending you at the moment are a test that is also given for the sake of your happiness and salvation.

Get used to thanking God not only for yourself, but also for your neighbors. By learning to do this sincerely, you will get rid of the feeling of envy, which often prevents people from loving each other.

Thanksgiving for every good deed of God

Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, Who is everywhere and fulfills everything, Treasure of good things and Giver of life, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all filth, and save, O Good One, our souls.

Troparion, tone 4

Give thanks to Thy unworthy servants, O Lord, for Thy great good deeds upon us; we glorify Thee, bless, thank Thee, sing and magnify Thy compassion, and slavishly cry out to Thee in love: O our Benefactor, glory to Thee.

Kontakion, tone 3

As servants of indecency, worthy of Your blessings and gifts, Master, we diligently flow to You, giving thanks as much as we can, and we cry out to You as the Benefactor and Creator: Glory to You, All-Bounteous God. Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. And now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Theotokos

Theotokos, Christian Helper, Your servants, having acquired Your intercession, cry out to You in gratitude: Rejoice, Most Pure Virgin Mother of God, and always deliver us from all our troubles with Your prayers, One who will soon intercede.

Prayer of thanksgiving for healing (St. John of Kronstadt)

Glory to Thee, Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the beginningless Father, You alone heal every ailment and every illness among people, for You have had mercy on me as a sinner and delivered me from my illness, not allowing it to develop and kill me according to my sins. Grant me from now on, Master, the strength to firmly do Your will for the salvation of my damned soul and for Your glory with Your beginningless Father and Your consubstantial Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Song of praise of Saint Ambrose, Bishop of Milan

We praise God to you, we confess the Lord to you, the whole earth magnifies the Eternal Father to you; To you all the angels, to you the heavens and all the Powers, to you the Cherubim and Seraphim unceasing voices cry: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of hosts, the heavens and earth are full of the majesty of your glory, the glorious Apostolic face is to you, the prophetic number of praise is to you, the most luminous praises you martyr army, the Holy Church throughout the entire universe confesses to You, the Father of incomprehensible majesty, worshiping Your true and Only Begotten Son and the Holy Comforter of the Spirit. You, the King of Glory, Christ, You are the Ever-Eternal Son of the Father: You, having received man for the deliverance, did not disdain the Virgin’s womb; You, having overcome the sting of death, have opened the Kingdom of Heaven to believers. You are seated at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father, the Judge has come and believed. We therefore ask You: help Your servants, whom You redeemed with Your Honest Blood. Make it worthy to reign with Your saints in Your eternal glory. Save Thy people, O Lord, and bless Thy inheritance, I will correct and exalt them forever; Let us bless You all the days and praise Your name forever and ever. Grant, Lord, that on this day we will be preserved without sin. Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us: may Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we trust in Thee. In Thee, Lord, let us put our trust, let us not be ashamed forever. Amen.

Sooner or later, every believer finds answers to these questions that help him best feel his closeness to the Almighty. However, there are some general rules.

According to ancient tradition, common prayers are preferred in an Orthodox family - reading the morning and evening rules, as well as prayers before meals. But it is not prohibited for each family member to read prayers in solitude. Solitude is usually required by intense prayer - a “personal conversation” with the Lord, in which each of us turns to the Heavenly Father with requests for help and confession of our sins.

The canonical texts of prayers are given to believers for a reason - words taken from sacred texts, born from the revelations of the fathers of the Orthodox Church, developed over many centuries of the existence of Christianity and blessed by the Lord himself, they help the worshiper tune in to the right mood and open his heart to the Almighty, and church music The Slavic language creates a solemn mood, separating a person at the moment of prayer from the earthly world and bringing him closer to the Lord.

But each of us has our own thoughts and aspirations, our own troubles and joys, our own requests to the Almighty and our own sins that we want to tell Him about. Therefore, prayer in one’s own words, born in the depths of a soul that repents and trusts in the Lord, is appropriate and permissible in Orthodoxy.

Canonical prayers are usually read in the morning, in the evening and before meals, with them they begin an appeal to the Lord and the Mother of God, with them they precede their requests in front of the icons of the holy saints of God. And it is the experience of reading such prayers that makes it possible for one’s own prayer to be born in the soul—a sublime appeal to the Lord.

In Orthodoxy there are also short prayers - “Lord, have mercy”, “Lord, bless”, “Most Holy Theotokos, save us” and some others - they can be said not only before reading large prayers, but at any time of the day or night, before starting any task or after its completion, feeling fear and confusion in the soul, finding yourself in a dangerous situation or facing a difficult choice... These short prayers not only call on the blessing of the Lord for every task, call for help and protection in a difficult situation, but also create a feeling of continuous communication with God, our inextricable connection with him at every moment of our lives.

Reading prayers out loud is mandatory during general prayer; during the day, in various everyday situations, prayers are read, as a rule, in a whisper or to oneself, and in solitude, each person can pray in the way that is most convenient for him. However, at the initial stage, it is still recommended to recite the words of prayers out loud - this prevents the mind from being distracted, helps to maintain the right mood and speeds up the memorization of canonical texts.

In the Orthodox Church there is a tradition of offering prayers in front of icons, therefore every Orthodox home has an iconostasis. However, you can pray in front of one icon, and if there is no opportunity to turn to the holy image, then recreate it in your soul and offer your prayer request to it.

Mood to Prayer

It is very important to remember that reading canonical prayers should not be reduced to a simple repetition of incomprehensible words - such a prayer does not awaken anything in the depths of the human soul, and therefore does not serve as our sincere appeal to the Lord.

Therefore, first you need to analyze all the prayers that you want to read, delve into their meaning, and feel their mood. Only in this case will prayer become a real conversation with God.

There will be no sense in prayer if you perceive it as some kind of burdensome duty, a daily tedious ritual. Awaken in yourself an attitude towards prayer as a joyful meeting with Heavenly Father, who loves you and is always ready to respond to your request. In order for this feeling of a long-awaited meeting to be born in your soul, before prayer, take a little time for internal preparation.

External attributes of prayer

The question of the external content of prayer deserves special attention. In particular, we are talking about the position of the body of the person praying, bowing and the sign of the cross. Is all this really important?

The point is that during prayer the body should work in the same way as the soul. This is the characteristic difference between Orthodox worship. It is especially noticeable in the church, where one can personally observe the collective prayer work of believers. As we watch the congregation kneel, bow, and make the sign of the cross in unison, we understand that they are making great efforts to force the body to participate in prayer along with the spirit.

A special position of the body (standing or kneeling) helps to concentrate on prayer. It helps to achieve that state of concentration that everyone needs when turning to God. Bows and signs of the cross are not only a direct bodily expression of the reverent feelings that overwhelm the soul of the person praying, but also strengthen these feelings.

But if for certain reasons (for example, due to illness or old age) you cannot adhere to prayer positions, make prostrations, etc., this should in no case become an obstacle. Do not forget that for God the internal is more important than the external. If you are unable to spend much time on your feet, pray while sitting. This is better than not praying at all or, standing in the required position, concentrating on your pain.

Another external attribute of Orthodox prayer is icons. Speaking about them, it is important to warn those who are just embarking on the path of faith against dangerous delusions. We turn to the Savior, the Mother of God, the saints, and not to their images. An icon is not a subject of prayer, but only a means that helps one tune in to it and achieve the desired state.

One of the most important questions facing believers when they begin to think about the external side of prayer concerns visiting the temple. Is it really necessary to go to church every Sunday? Why visit temple at all if God lives in our soul?

One of the essential principles of Orthodoxy is community. Each member of the Church exists not alone, but together with other believers. This is a great consolation, because any job is easier when you work together. When you come to church, you are immersed in a special atmosphere of joint prayer. There is no need to talk about how this helps to create a sense of reverence in the soul and tune in to communion with God. Try praying at home and in church, and then the difference will become obvious to you.

Many people who sincerely consider themselves believers consider the very institution of the church to be false. “What can priests give us if they are sinners like us?” - here is one of the typical objections. The following can be answered. A priest may be unrighteous, but he is only a conduit of God’s grace, which does not depend on his sins or holiness. We must believe not in clergy, but in the Lord, who manifests His will through them.

The attitude towards the church, as well as towards prayer, should not be pragmatic. Some people, coming to church irregularly, expect to receive quick help: getting rid of illness for themselves or their neighbors, protection from impending danger, support in an upcoming trial, etc. This is, of course, the wrong approach. The life of a true Christian is literally permeated by the church. This element is natural for him, and regular visits to the temple to communicate with God seem to be an urgent spiritual need.

How often should you go to church? It is recommended to visit the temple every Sunday. This helps to maintain the firmness of faith and internally disciplines. It is sometimes difficult for a person who comes to church from time to time to resist temptation. On the contrary, constant awareness of the upcoming meeting with God does not allow one to commit unrighteous acts. By starting to attend church regularly, you will learn to live a new spiritual life.
