This unusual detail of the appearance of the Lord God’s helpers symbolizes their wisdom and ability to see aspects of life hidden from the eyes of mere mortals. This feature also speaks of the boundless devotion of angels to their heavenly creator, since all their eyes are constantly directed towards him.

How many angels does a person have?

The number of heavenly intercessors depends on spiritual strength. Saint Nicholas was protected by 27 angels - this is the largest known number of winged warriors for one person. On average, a person is assigned from 1 to 9 warriors.

The more light forces a parishioner protects, the happier and luckier he is. Such people easily achieve their goals and never despair, because they feel the support of God in difficult life situations.

Also, the works of some theologians say that there are only three ranks of angels, each of them has three varieties. Among these types of unearthly beings one can name such as thrones, angels, archangels, powers, authorities, and so on. Each of these groups has its own individual purpose. The revelation of the prophet says that the archangels closest to the throne of the Lord continually praise His name.

The literary creation of the ancient saint is also notable for the fact that it reveals the reason for God’s creation of man and other corporeal and incorporeal beings. The Almighty created the Universe and everything in it out of an excess of love. He needed to send his grace to someone. Therefore, He created the Universe, the Earth, and ultimately man.

Before creating our planet, the Creator said: “Yes, there will be heaven!”, and it appeared. Some theologians say that this passage from the Old Testament should be understood in such a way that the Creator created the invisible world before making everything that we can perceive with our senses.
