Saint Theodore of Edessa writes that a prayerful connection with God purifies the mind, destroys passions, protects virtues and consoles in sorrows (“Philokalia”).

Those who need a “prayer for success in business” should remember: material wealth should not subjugate a person and become an idol for him (Matthew 6:24). Orthodox Christians, first of all, need to strive for spiritual treasures. The Lord will not abandon the one who works to save his soul in earthly life (Matthew 6:33). Saint John Chrysostom teaches:
“Seek the blessings of the future and you will receive the present. Don’t look for visible things, and you will certainly receive them... When “God” sees that we do not desire earthly “blessings,” he allows us to use them, because then we own them as free men and as men, and not as children” ( "Creations")
Ritual in the morning
When a business is in a state of planning or is just gaining strength, having barely begun, a water ritual, which is carried out every morning for thirty days, can ensure its further success. It is the regularity of execution that is important. One missed day can negatively affect the results of the entire cycle of morning rituals.
So, in the morning, immediately after waking up, over the water with which they will wash, they read the text of a prayer, saying that any business started will certainly go uphill and bring income and benefit. Prayer for success in business is not Orthodoxy, but superstition
So, an Orthodox Christian can engage in honest business and ask God for help for this. However, in Orthodoxy there are no prayers “for money”, “for business”, “for success”, etc. Such formulations liken prayer to primitive magic spells or conspiracies.
Such texts are not resorted to as a humble prayer to God and an expression of trust in His Providence. Magic spells are used in a selfish desire to guarantee the satisfaction of one's whims. This “prayer for good luck in business” is read mechanically, without the participation of the soul. Saint Basil the Great instructs:
“In prayer one should not ask for the fulfillment of one’s own will, but to leave everything to God, who builds what is useful” (“Creations”).
You can ask the Lord, the Mother of God and the saints for help in your business both in your own words and using authentic Orthodox prayers. Who is Nicholas the Wonderworker

When Nicholas was making a trip to the Holy Land, he saw the devil himself entering the ship. This vision was interpreted by him as a terrible storm approaching, then the travelers asked the Wonderworker to pray for them and calm the sea.
