Reading rules
In addition to faith, one must read the sacred texts correctly so that they are beneficial and not just become a meaningless ritual. The saint himself spent a lot of time in his cell, praying and praising God, and Christians need to follow his example. Prayer is not just a set of magical words that benefit a person, but it is a dialogue with God that instructs the heart.
Other articles about Orthodoxy:
It is best to read prayers in the evening, after completing all your busy affairs before going to bed. The following recommendations should be followed:
- Prepare everything for prayer in advance - clean the room, light a candle or lamp, place an icon of the saint and the Holy Trinity.
- Turn off the TV and radio, you can turn off the sound on your phone.
- Kneel in front of the red corner.
- Cross yourself and read “Our Father” and “Creed.”
- Read the appropriate prayer from those suggested above.
- Cross yourself.
- Pray in your own words about the need.
Advice! It’s better to do everything quietly, calmly, read texts in a quiet voice, clearly and feel every word. Remembering that these are not just magic words, but an appeal to the Creator. Repeat the reading regularly for 40 days, while attending every Sunday service, giving alms and receiving communion.

Finding the relics
The saint was buried in the crypt of the Zadonsk Monastery under the altar. When they were planning to build a new cathedral in the monastery, the incorrupt relics of Tikhon were discovered. This was in 1845. Not only the saint’s body was not touched by decay, but also his clothes, although it was very damp in the crypt. A message was sent to the Synod about the discovery of incorruptible relics. After this, Tikhon of Zadonsk was officially canonized, although the people revered him as a holy wonderworker during his lifetime.
After the revolution, persecution of the church began, and the relics were taken out of the monastery. For some time they were kept in museums, and after the war they tried to open the relics to believers. But party policy did not allow open worship of Christian shrines. And only in 1991 the relics of the saint found peace in their monastery in the city of Zadonsk.

- Saint Tikhon;
- Rev. Ephraim;
- Martyr Tryphon.
Appeal to the Mother of God is the most universal prayer. It helps to cope with psychological problems. Depression doesn't happen overnight. It is preceded by loneliness, despair, constant apathy. A person does not want to live or change anything in this life.
The reason for loneliness lies in self-doubt or disappointment in other people. A chain of events and internal changes leads to depression and, as a result, despondency. Turning to the saints allows you to destroy all related problems, and not just the consequences of negative changes.
Prayers for melancholy and despondency work gradually. He has the right to use several prayers at once if an urgent result is needed. Methods for getting rid of depression are not as significant as the overall message. If a person believes in higher powers and trusts them, any appeal to them will yield positive results.
