Life of Basil the Great
Vasily lived in a large and friendly family. Of the ten children, five chose the spiritual path and were subsequently canonized. Basil himself went to Egypt shortly after his baptism to study the Holy Scriptures. For some time he walked to holy places, leading an exclusively monastic lifestyle.
Basilio's core business was dedicated to people. As Archbishop of Cappadocia, he organized the construction of hospitals, and actively promoted charity, protecting the innocent in every possible way.
