Lyrics of the song Church hymns - Glory to God for everything

Original text and lyrics of the song Thank God for everything:

Somewhere there, far away and a long time ago, there lived a wise and experienced old man.
He always said and he always repeated: “Glory to God for sorrow and for joy!” Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for sorrow and joy! The Lord gives us everything for the salvation of our souls. Don’t complain if it gets difficult. But then humble yourself and always say: “That means everything is so pleasing to the Lord.” Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for sorrow and joy!

If you learn to do God's Will always, Perhaps we too will be persecuted. And with a bag on our shoulders, with tears in our eyes, And we will not be loved by our relatives. Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for sorrow and joy!

When you will be cheerful and well-fed and healthy. And you will have a lot of friends. But be attentive and then do not forget to Thank the Merciful God. Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for sorrow and joy!

If someone said something rudely to you or treated you badly: Know about this, my friend, God’s will is here too, so that you always come to terms with it. Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for sorrow and joy!

When there will be sorrows, illnesses and grief, or we will have to suffer in some way. Don’t blame anyone, but always say: “Everything from God is given to us sinners.” Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for everything! Thank God for sorrow and joy!

Our years will pass, all our friends will move away, old age will creep up unnoticed. But always repeat and then say: “Glory to God for sorrow and for joy.” Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for everything! Glory to God for sorrow and joy.

Sheet music from Evgeniy Sergeevich's bedside table

Colleagues! More than once I have seen how, in a store with church music, some mother turns the score of Kastalsky or Chesnokov in her hands, sighs pitifully and asks the seller:

– Isn’t there something simpler? We have a choir... one name. Let them sing this kind of music on the radio, but we can’t get it up.

My dear Great Martyr of the Cliros! In all of Russia, the choir has the same name. That’s why the simplest notes are now in demand. Even primitive ones.

With all of this in mind, we are expanding our sheet music library with the “From the Nightstand” section. We dumped the contents of the service lectern of the Church of the Three Saints on Kulishki into this folder. Our services are extremely simple, so the library of unchangeable chants is relatively small. Now she is yours. Sing for your health and the Glory of God.
