Not only holy ascetics, but also many other heavenly powers can come to help an Orthodox Christian. All of them serve the Lord and help people in their earthly life. The doctrine of the Heavenly powers is based on the Bible, as well as on the interpretation of Saint Dionysius the Areopagite, who was a disciple of the Apostle Paul himself.
The holy apostle was, during his lifetime, ascended to Heaven, where he saw the structure of the Heavenly powers. His student wrote down and systematized this knowledge, and for many centuries the Orthodox Church has adhered to this hierarchy. We know the names of the archangels in Orthodoxy, to whom many prayers are composed.
Who is Chamuel?
Archangel Chamuel is one of the seven strongest angels in God's hierarchy. This is the protector of the world from the bad energy of creatures that threaten the happiness and peace of the Lord’s beloved children. The Archangel gives hope for salvation and a sense of security to everyone who lives on the planet.
It also protects the personal world of each person. Everything you need for a fulfilling life - love, friendship and respect from others - is given by Chamuel. His task is to provide people with daily necessities, so that the human tribe does not need anything and glorifies the name of the Lord in the days of earthly life.
Names and responsibilities
“Chamuel” is translated from Hebrew: “he who sees God,” “he who knows God.” Forgiveness and kindness, selfless love for one's neighbor - this is what the archangel who protects people teaches. In Orthodoxy, it is believed that Chamuel and Gabriel are one and the same character in the Holy Scriptures.
Priests often call Chamuel by another name - Daniel and even Samael.
In the revelations of the holy fathers, the archangel bears another name - Selafiel or Salafiel. A heavenly entity of the highest order, Chamuel, does not accept evil. Resentment, anger and revenge violate the measured way of life and contradict God's commandments.
The Archangel is called to give a person who dreams of revenge the desire to forgive the offender. Chamuel will console the offended, and pacify the evil. People turn to Chamuel for help in:
- material sphere;
- love;
- gaining wisdom;
- career;
- creativity;
- searching for the meaning of life.
In Holy Scripture, the archangel helped God defeat the pride of the inhabitants of Babylon. So that people would stop living arrogantly and become like the Lord, Chamuel taught the proud to speak different languages. Since then, people have settled around the world, forgetting about the desire to build a tower up to the sky.

Prayers for all occasions
Chamuel is approached with requests to obtain material wealth, as well as missing things:
Archangel Chamuel, help me find what I lost (name the object or situation in which you lost the thing). I know that if you help me, I will find this object, for the Lord is omnipresent and knows where it is. Please guide me so that I can find what I am looking for. Thank you, Chamuel.
Say a prayer as needed, and the thing will be found. A friend will bring it to you, or you can find it yourself. No one knows how this will happen - the ways of the Lord are mysterious.
Conflicts flare up due to misunderstandings and the pride of those who quarrel. Problems are resolved when the veil of hatred leaves people's hearts. To settle relationships, read the prayer:
Chamuel and angels of love, let divine love take over now!
Prayer to Chamuel every day will help you improve your life and avoid squabbles and hassles. The person asking will gain confidence in character and peace of mind. Fears will go away, their place will be taken by fiery love for neighbors and the Lord.
Archangel Chamuel, Your name is “He who sees God”! I ask for help in everyday affairs. Archangel Chamuel, help me improve my communication with other people. Create a smooth flow of life. Help us receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Read prayers to Chamuel as needed, when you feel that you need an intercessor and strengthening of spiritual strength. Repeat the text twice a day - morning and evening, before bed.
Samael
Wikipedia has articles about other people named Samuel (name).
Hebrew סמאל
male
Samael (also Samael; Samael; ancient Hebrew סמאל, “sam” + “el”: poison and god) is the chief of demons, a destructive force and the angel of death (“malach ha-mavet”) in the Talmud. He is in eternal conflict with the Archangel Michael (Michael). The enmity between the two disembodied spirits began from the day when Samael was cast out of heaven: the fallen angel tried to drag Michael with him into the underworld. Both are the main world egregors: Michael represents goodness and the unity of deceased saints, as well as correctly living people and good thoughts, and Samael is the egregor of evil, the unity of dead or living evil people and evil desires and thoughts. The spirit of evil, standing at the head of the seven negative “sephiroth”. Must be defeated, simultaneously with the destruction of all sin, by the prophet Elijah.
The name "Samael" is sometimes seen as the true "angelic" name of the devil. "Poison of God." Kabbalistic title of the Prince of those evil spirits who personify the embodiment of human vices. The first demon in the hierarchy of hell.
Pink Archangel Flame
The light that Chamuel emits is pink. His aura is similar to the violet flame of the Archangel Zadkiel, but is softer. Pink reveals hidden wealth and talents in a person’s soul, while purple wraps itself around the aura like a cocoon and protects from evil.
Aura of Archangel Chamuel
Regular prayers and appeals to Chamuel change the character of the person asking. Hard-heartedness softens, a person becomes more tolerant, inspiration and love appear. If you want to change those around you and give the gifts of the archangel to your loved ones, then during prayer imagine them shrouded in the pink aura of Chamuel.
Consolation in love
To heal your soul and broken heart from the anguish of parting, read the prayer:
I am the light of Heart and Love, shining around all living things. My light turns everything into the golden treasury of Jesus. I radiate Love and Peace in order to erase all mistakes and break down barriers. I am the love.
Correctly chosen words will calm the soul and give serenity to the one asking. We'll fix everything. Don't forget this.
Help in everyday affairs
Life, habits and relationships with relatives are also regulated by Chamuel. To eradicate cruelty and get rid of destructive tendencies, ask for the mercy of the archangel. The heavenly patron dries up anger and helps to understand another person. After all, everyone who is subject to destructive passions is unhappy and needs understanding. Chamuel gives the ability to look at the sufferer in a new way and with the right words to calm the sinful soul.
Lost things
The loss of a family heirloom or a favorite piece of jewelry is a misfortune. Ask Chamuel to point out the lost item and how soon the request will be fulfilled depends only on the desire to find the lost item.
Archangel Chamuel, I have lost something very important to me (it must be named). Since it is impossible to truly lose something, because God is omnipresent and knows where it is, I ask you, Chamul, guide me so that I can find what I am looking for. Amen.
Description
Gnosticism
In the book Apocrypha of John the Theologian, which was found in the Nag Hammadi library, Samael is the third name of the demiurge. Other names are Jaldabaoth (sometimes spelled Ialtabaoth) and Saklas. In this context, Samael means "Blind God" or "god of the Blind". Sometimes he is called the father of Hosts. The theme of blindness runs throughout all works on Gnosticism. He is born from the eon of Sophia, who desired to create her own offspring without the Spirit. His appearance is that of a snake with the face of a lion. In the Treatise on the Origin of the World of the Nag Hammadi Library, it is also called Ariael (d).
In the Book of the Magician of Abramelin, Mathers refers to "Uro", which means "to burn" or "to be consumed by flame", comparable to Uriens and the Latin Urios and Urieus, the name of Jupiter as the Spirit presiding over the wind. It is said that the rabbis called him "SMAL", Samael, which literally means "figure" or "idol". This is one of the main spirits of the Qlippoth, it is “Ahriman” Yatukih and the male representation of the Adversary, while Lilith is the female complement. As written in The Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy, Agrippa referred to the writings of Peter Lombardus, “That the Devil was before his fall an Archangel and had a beautiful body, composed by God from the most excellent matter of heaven and air; but after his fall, he ceased to be an Archangel and became an Apostate, his body ceased to be good and subtle; but his body was so made that it could suffer from a heavier substance of the quality of the more obscure, dark and uncontrollable Air, and this body was also marked by the indignant madness of pride, which attracted so many Angels to his service, and they became Devils, who for his sake in this poor world perform their deeds.”
Kabbalah
Evelyn de Morgan. The Angel of Death I
In Kabbalah, Samael is considered the Angel of Death, the main ruler of the Fifth Heaven and one of the seven regents of the world. Yalkut Shimoni speaks of Samael as Esau's guardian angel. In the Mishnah, Samael is designated as the guardian angel of Eden.
He is responsible for the fall of Eve, who gave birth to Cain from Samael.
According to some legends, it was Samael who led Eve into temptation, appearing to her in the form of a serpent.
Also in Samael, according to midrashic literature and others, is the angel who restrained the hand of Abraham when he was ready to sacrifice his son to God (Bereishit Rabbah, LVI, 4, etc.).
In the Holy Kabbalah, Samael is described as the "severity of God", and is listed as one of the five archangels in the sephira of Geburah (see Structure of the Tree of Life in the Kabbalah). Samael is also considered the husband of Lilith after she left Adam. According to the Book of Zohar, Samael was also the father and husband of the demonic harlots Noema (Nahema) and Agrat bat Mahalat.
The name Samael is sometimes confused in some books with the name of Camael, the Archangel of God, whose name means "He who sees God."
Samael is mentioned in the legends about Besht, who found Samael's house while wandering through the Carpathian forest (Ternopil region)
Anthroposophy
To anthroposophists, Samael is known as one of the seven archangels: Anael, Gabriel, Michael, Orifiel, Raphael (angel), Samael and Zahariel, who have a special purpose as the global Zeitgeist ("spirit of the times"), each for a period of about 3800 years.
Archangel Chamuel and the angels of love
The heavenly patron and intercessor has a whole holy army under his command, the army of angels of Chamuel. All of them are called by the Lord to fiercely fulfill the obligation: to bring the light of love to the darkest souls. Love, forgiveness and tears of repentance accompany the holy army.
Chamuel and the heavenly army help everyone who:
- suffers from unrequited love;
- learned the bitterness of betrayal by relatives;
- lost close friends;
- disappointed in myself.
Simple words of prayer, spoken from a pure heart, will bring comfort. Chamuel, at the head of the angels, will heal the aching heart and calm the restless soul of those begging for forgiveness. Forgiving enemies, starting life over with a new leaf - this is what the heavenly cohort of winged protectors bestows.
I recommend seeking help from Chamuel in case of severe life shocks and mental trauma. Learning to live in a new way and breathe deeply after a fall is not easy. But along with God's help and the blessing of the archangels will come confidence in the future. After all, Chamuel’s goal is to calm and give love to everyone who is in need.
Archangels do not punish offenders. You cannot wish harm to another person and ask the Higher Powers for punishment. Fate will reward the envious and slanderers, but only after forgiveness. Trust in heavenly power and allow the inevitable to happen.

Prayers and conspiracies to meet love - important features
When praying to the Heavenly Forces for a meeting with a soul mate, remember:
- This is not a love spell . A magical ritual is not Orthodox prayer or conspiracies known since the times of Ancient Rus'. Church hymns strengthen the faith of the person praying, give confidence and make it easier to find a loved one. In contrast, magic affects the emotional field of an object, subordinating it to the will of the sorcerer. The effect of this practice does not last long.
- Be sincere . It is customary to read holy prayers and conspiracies with a pure heart, without evil thoughts or dirty intentions.
- Do no harm. Do not use love spell magic on your own or with the help of a psychic. This is a crude attempt to interfere with the universal order, which will not remain without consequences.
- Don't impose . If a person doesn't like you, leave. Look for someone else. Lack of feelings cannot be corrected. Remember this and don't let anyone push you around. Save yourself for your loved one, whom you will meet ahead.
Prayers to attract love
A request to the Almighty and the holy army of archangels is a way to achieve the desired goal. Loneliness is not a sentence or a punishment. It is said in the Gospel of Matthew (chapter 7, vv. 7-8):
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you; For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
By the will of the heavenly intercessor, people find a soul mate. Appeal to the archangel to attract love:
By God, I am what I am. In the name of Archangel Chamuel: Away, forces of anti-love!
By saying the phrase “I am,” you tune in to work with the energy of God and divine entities - angels and archangels. The term “anti-love” refers to the anger and irritation that people who have gone wild without the love of the Lord and the care of their neighbors are capable of.
Prayer teaches you to listen to others, understand the troubles of others and improve relationships in the family. Read the prayer twice a day to bring back your missing friend. Sacred words protect the heart from evil thoughts and protect the mind from bad intentions.
God and the heavenly host are everywhere. At any moment in life they surround us. Trust in the Lord and the saving power of Archangel Chamuel and you will find what you want, whatever it is: love, friends, protection from evil people, as well as peace and tranquility in your soul.
