Miraculous icons of Moscow that help you get married

Miraculous icons of Moscow that help you get married

In the Christian understanding, the purpose of marriage is not so much procreation as spiritual and physical unity, complementarity, and mutual assistance. In marriage, the presence of God gives hope that the marriage vow will remain not until “until death do us part,” but until death unites the spouses completely, after the general Resurrection - in the Kingdom of Heaven. We understand this and need to ask God for help.

Since ancient times, Saints Peter and Fevronia have been considered the patrons of marriage and family. This is no coincidence: their life is an example of love and fidelity, patience and wisdom; an example of what is accessible only to people who are pure in heart and humble in God. They say that faithful spouses help everyone who comes to them to pray for the gift of a good groom, family peace, well-being and admonition of the unbelieving spouse. After all, “a wife is prepared for a husband from eternity.” NB The romantic love story of Saints Peter and Fevronia is described in detail in the ancient Russian story of the priest Ermolai the Prereshny.

Countless miracles are performed daily in prayers to St. Nicholas the Pleasant: people turn to him in difficult material circumstances; before a difficult long road; before making fateful decisions, when one’s hands have already completely given up. They also say that Nicholas the Wonderworker always helps girls who ask for a prosperous marriage and a happy life with their spouse in love and harmony. NB According to legend, Saint Nicholas secretly threw three bundles of gold to the father of the family, who, because of poverty and hunger, was desperate to give his daughters to fornication. This money saved the family from sin and allowed all three daughters to marry safely.

According to a long-standing folk legend, Ksenia of Petersburg helps girls find their chosen one and get married. NB There are many beautiful legends associated with the history of Xenia of St. Petersburg, here is one of them. One day, the servant of God Ksenia came to visit the Golubev family, mother and daughter, and said to the young girl: “Eh, beauty, you are making coffee here, and your husband is burying his wife on Okhta. Run there quickly." “How so? — she asked, “not only do I have a husband, but I don’t have a fiance either.” “Go,” Ksenia answered sternly. Mother and daughter went to Okhta - and what did they see there? A bitterly sobbing young widower, who, at the sight of the grave mound over the ashes of his beloved wife, lost consciousness and fell unconscious into the arms of Golubev who ran up. The latter tried to bring him to his senses, met him, and a year later young Golubeva became his wife.

In front of the “Unfading Color” icon of the Mother of God, they pray for the preservation of purity of thoughts and righteous life, for the right choice of a spouse, for deliverance from carnal warfare. They also pray to her upon marriage and for a happy family life. They say that pure and fiery prayer in front of this icon helps in resolving difficult family problems. NB The flower on the icon symbolizes the purity of the Most Pure Virgin, whom the Church calls thus: “You are the Root of Virginity and the Unfading Flower of Purity.”

Saint Paraskeva Friday is traditionally prayed for family well-being and happiness. Girls of marriageable age ask for a quick and successful marriage, and then for intercession in marriage. Until the 20th century, the icon of Saint Paraskeva Friday stood in every Orthodox home. N.V. A truly feminine icon, with which all the most secret heartfelt aspirations of women and girls have been associated since ancient times.

Apostle Andrew is considered the patron saint of the Russian state and is especially revered by Russians. The Order of St. Andrew the First-Called Apostle is one of the oldest insignia (established in 1699) and the highest award of the Russian Federation. However, few people know: the icon of the holy apostle is advised to pray to parents for the chastity and prosperous marriage of their daughters.

It is not for nothing that Matrona of Moscow is considered the patroness of lonely hearts and the keeper of family values. The prayer offered to her for marriage is considered very effective: she helped many girls create strong families and find family happiness for many years.

Where to go to be lucky in love

Hundreds of believers come to the chapel at the Smolensk cemetery every day to touch the shrine.

On October 9, 2008, we talked about Saint Matrona, to whose relics thousands of believers flock to the Intercession Monastery in Moscow every day to make wishes. But there are still hundreds of legendary places on Earth where people go with the hope that their dreams will come true. Today we will tell you which cities you need to visit and which rituals to perform to be lucky in love.

St. Petersburg: Destinies unite in the chapel

In St. Petersburg, for more than two centuries, the path to one chapel at the Smolensk cemetery on Vasilievsky Island has not been overgrown. Every day hundreds of people from different cities of the country come here to make a love wish. Some, whispering prayers, walk around the chapel three times, others leave notes in the cracks between the bricks of the wall, others, leaning against the wall, quietly conjure: “Let my beloved return to me...”, “Give a happy family to my son...” Who are the believers? asking them to make their deepest dream come true? Holy Blessed Xenia of Petersburg, during her lifetime she was called by the name of Ksenia Grigorievna Petrova and by her male nickname - Andrei Fedorovich.

...To this day, historians are collecting the biography of Blessed Xenia from the meager memories of her contemporaries. She was born either in 1719 or 1730 into a wealthy family. At the age of 18, she fell passionately in love with the court singer Andrei Fedorovich Petrov, who held the rank of colonel. After the wedding, they were considered the happiest couple in St. Petersburg. But the idyll did not last long. Andrei Fedorovich suddenly died of typhus. And Ksenia remained a childless widow at 26 years old. The misfortune shook her health. On the day of the funeral, she put on her husband’s red and green uniform and told all the condolences that it was not Andrei Fedorovich who died, but his wife Ksenia. “From that moment on, she died for the world, having taken upon herself the most difficult feat - the feat of foolishness for the sake of Christ,” is written in Christian chronicles. However, contemporaries long believed that because of the tragedy, Ksenia lost her mind. After all, her actions were shocking. She signed off her rich house to her dowry friend Paraskeva Antonova. And when asked where he would live now, she answered indifferently: “He has the birds of the air under His protection. They do not sow, they do not reap. I’m no worse than a bird of heaven!” She walked around the city in rags and leaky shoes. She did not take clothes or money as alms. And she asked to be called by her husband’s name.

Relatives showed her to doctors, but they did not find any obvious signs of insanity. She simply lived in her own world. So, they say that the workers who were erecting the stone church of the Smolensk Mother of God more than once found Ksenia at work early in the morning: at night, while the builders were sleeping, she carried bricks onto the scaffolding.

The townspeople wondered for a long time: where did the holy fool sleep? One day, the policemen, following her, found out that Ksenia, at any time of the year, in any weather, would go to the field for the night, where she would read a prayer on her knees until the sun rose. Soon, St. Petersburg residents began to welcome Ksenia, because they noticed: where she appeared, peace and happiness reigned. The merchants saw that if she went into a run-down shop and took herself a nut or gingerbread, queues would form into the shop. Mothers noticed that if Ksenia caresses a sick child, he will certainly recover.

“But the main thing for her was the arrangement of someone else’s family happiness,” says Father Maxim, a minister of the Church of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God. “After her blessing, the lovers immediately united, those who quarreled were reconciled, and this happened so quickly that Ksenia was even nicknamed “ambulance.” What the blessed one refused during her life, she gave and still gives to people...

At the 71st year of her life, feeling her approaching death, she said goodbye to all her acquaintances, saying: “I’m leaving on a long journey.” And soon she was found lifeless sitting under a tree at the Smolensk cemetery. In 1988, Ksenia was canonized. By the way, she is the only canonized holy fool of the 18th century.

Address: St. Petersburg, st. Kamskaya, 24.

Miracles of Ksenia during life and after death

From the memoirs of contemporaries and letters that came to the saint’s chapel.

Ksenia says to the childless Paraskeva Antonova: “God sent you a son. Go quickly to the Smolensk cemetery." On the way there, Antonova saw a crowd. It turned out that the cab driver hit a pregnant woman, who immediately gave birth on the street and died. Paraskeva adopted the baby.

Ksenia told unmarried Olga Golubeva: “Your husband is burying his wife on Okhta. Run there quickly." On Okhta, the girl saw that after the funeral, a widower was lying lifeless on a fresh grave, unconscious from grief. She brought him to his senses, met him, and a year later they got married.

“My daughter left her husband, started drinking, and my son suffered. I wrote to Mother Ksenia in the chapel, and help came immediately! The family was reunited. Maria, Torez, Donetsk region.”

“My daughter Nadezhda, at 27 years old, still could not get married. I served a prayer service to Saint Xenia, and a week later my daughter met a young man, everything is fine with them, and they want to get married. Faith Hope. Moscow".

Ufa: Lovers connected by a magic bridge

Legend:

This tradition first appeared 16 years ago in Italy after the release of Federico Moccia’s novels “Three Meters Above the Sky” (1992) and “I Want You” (2006), which became cult favorites among Italians. It is believed that by hanging a lock on the bridge railing and throwing the key into the water, the newlyweds will drown all their previous connections in the river, and now no one will be able to pick up the key to their hearts.

Story:

For the first time, 21-year-old Alina Gizatullina and 22-year-old Radik Abdullin “met” on the Internet in one of the chat rooms. The interlocutors liked each other in absentia, but when they met, Alina was disappointed: she always liked blondes, and Radik was brunette. The young man’s heart was conquered. The guys parted without even exchanging phone numbers. Soon Alina disappeared from the Internet. But Radik realized that he could not live without her, and searched for her in vain for a whole year.

“I have long known about the suspension bridge in Ufa, where lovers hang locks as a sign of love,” says Radik, “and I decided to also resort to this ritual.

Having bought a castle and written his beloved’s name on it, the guy drove 80 kilometers from his native village of Tolbazy to Ufa. It’s hard to believe, but on the same day Alina, who lives in the village of Raevka, 125 kilometers from the Bashkir capital, also came to the city.

“I wanted to go shopping,” she recalls. “But suddenly I was drawn to this park to the bridge, where I saw Radik.

They are getting married soon. And on this day, the guys will come to this bridge again to fulfill the belief: if the groom carries the bride across it from beginning to end, then they will live in love and harmony for many years.

Address: Ufa, park named after. S. Yulaeva.

Kazan: Syuyumbike Tower saved me from a bad marriage

Legend:

Ivan the Terrible promised to burn Kazan if the proud Queen Syuyumbike did not become his wife. Saving her hometown, she agreed. The groom, having learned about this, hanged himself. And the beauty, asking to say goodbye to her homeland, climbed the high minaret and jumped off, causing it to sway in despair. Therefore, this tower, like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, is slightly inclined. And in order to straighten it again, that is, to straighten your destiny, you need to lightly lean on it with your hands on the inclined side.

Story:

“My life with my husband did not work out,” our reader from Kazan, Galina Guseinova, tells us in a letter. “It seemed like I loved him without looking back, but after the wedding I saw that my husband was a mama’s boy who was used to sitting on his neck. He left work, lies on the sofa, looks at the “box” or goes to see his drinking buddies. There is no life. No love. And unexpectedly, on the Odnoklassniki website, I met my former acquaintance, who, as it turned out, had loved me since childhood, and I was not indifferent to him. I haven't gotten married yet. And so I was faced with the question: leave my husband or leave everything as it is? So, weighing all the pros and cons, I quietly reached our Syuyumbike tower, which helps against unhappy love. She pressed her palms against her walls and mentally asked her for advice on what to do. And suddenly someone touched my shoulder. I looked around and in front of me was my old friend Olga. “I need to tell you something important,” he says. And, as if in spirit, she told me that, it turns out, she and my husband have loved each other for a long time, but they are afraid to upset me. How glad I was for this outcome!.. Several years passed. I live with my classmate, my girlfriend lives with my ex. We relax together and celebrate the holidays. So it’s not for nothing that there is such a legend about the Syuyumbik tower.

Every single girl wants to know the happiness of true love, a loving family and a reliable male support. But there are times when, even over the years, a girl does not manage to meet her betrothed man - then she needs to sincerely believe in the acquisition of bright feelings, read the hidden prayer and present herself before God in church.

Icons for a quick happy marriage

The first icon for a successful happy marriage is the image of “The Unfading Flower,” which was painted by Athonite monks in the 16th century. The painting of the holy image was initiated by an annual miracle that was noticed by guests and residents of the Holy Mountain.

Pilgrims came to the Mother of God with white lilies, which were placed in the icon case by the clergy. On the eve of the feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, strength and color came to the dry and lifeless stems - and they greeted the guests of the Mountain with new buds and iridescent color.

The icon of the Mother of God, helping to get married, is located at the Clinics on the Maiden Field in the Church of the Archangel Michael.

Prayers to the “Unfading Color” icon will help young girls get married. To do this, you should pray for the preservation of inner purity, modesty and chastity. Getting rid of sins in thoughts and actions will allow girls to experience the joy of a happy marriage and find the happiness of a quiet and peaceful family life.

Revered lists of the “Eternal Color” icon can be seen when visiting:

  • Moscow St. Alexeevsky Monastery
  • Voronezh Nativity of the Virgin Church.
  • In the Saratov Church “Quench My Sorrows,” built in honor of the image of the Lord’s Mother.
  • Ardatovsky Znamensky Cathedral.
  • Merciful Bogorodsky Monastery in Kadoma.

The smallest city in the Moscow region

Anyone who has visited the vicinity of the capital should not miss the opportunity to visit its many holy places. Vereya (Moscow region) is one of them. This is a unique city in which many architectural monuments of the 18th and 19th centuries have been preserved. The smallest city in the Moscow region accommodates a large number of churches, which have become its main attractions. The oldest of them is the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, built in the mid-16th century by Prince Vladimir Staritsky. The history of the cathedral is closely connected with the events of the War of 1812 and with the name of the liberator of Vereya from the French, General Dorokhov, who was buried within its walls.

Here, in the area of the river district, stands the ancient Church of the Epiphany. It was founded in 1673 and, despite the fact that it was rebuilt many times, it retained the stamp of Russian antiquity, clearly visible in all the details of its architectural appearance. The most popular among city residents is the Elias Church located on Bolnichnaya Street. The earliest information about it is found in historical documents from 1629. The glory of the church was brought by the rich iconostasis, icons and frescoes made by the leading masters of that era.

Many people are interested in holy places in the Moscow region that help them get married. One of them is located just in Vereya. This is the Church of Constantine and Helena, which is located on Kirovskaya Street. It was built with donations from the Zenegin merchants in 1798. Once upon a time, its walls were decorated with colorful paintings, and the splendor of the iconostasis was not inferior to the best Moscow churches. Over the years of total atheism, this splendor was lost, but the holiness of the church itself and the walls prayed for by many generations remained. For centuries, weddings took place there more often than anywhere else. Perhaps that is why these days it is customary here to offer prayers for the granting of marital happiness.

The story about the shrines of Vereya will be incomplete without mentioning the Church of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem, which was once part of the Spassky Monastery complex, abolished by Empress Catherine II, and the Old Believer Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is known that before the revolution Vereya was a major Old Believer center in the Moscow region.

According to data for 1902, Old Believers made up almost half of the city's population. Such a significant number of them led to the abandonment of the idea of building an Orthodox monastery here - there were fears of the influence of the Old Believers on the monks. Nowadays, when the official church has recognized the legitimacy of the Old Believers, many holy places in Moscow and the Moscow region happily coexist with their religious centers.

What icon to embroider to get married

If you want to convey your desire to create a strong family, a love of needlework can help with this. To become married, you need to embroider:

  • Icon “Unfading Color” - this embroidery will symbolize purity of intentions, chastity and meekness.
  • Image of the Holy Mother of God.
  • Image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

An embroidered icon that helps you get married has its healing properties only if you have deep faith, sincere desire and the absence of malicious intent. If a girl comes with a prayer for a rich elderly husband with the thought of taking possession of his property, then the holy image will not respond to such a black request.

Faith is a condition for help in prayers

The holy places in the Moscow region are numerous and blessed. There are more than a hundred miraculous springs alone. At the beginning of the article, data was given about the one thousand five hundred Orthodox churches located on its territory, and twenty-four monasteries, and about the hundreds of thousands of pilgrims who visit them. This evidence of the revival of Orthodox traditions, which had been forgotten for so long, gladdens the heart.

But when setting off on a journey to this or that shrine, it is necessary to remember that prayers offered in front of it will acquire grace-filled power only under the condition of deep faith and sincere religious feeling. Always, approaching a holy source, miraculous relics or an image, you need to remember the words of the Savior: “According to your faith it will be done for you.”

Nowadays, many travel agencies organize trips and excursions to places where the Grace of God is abundantly poured out. Do not miss the opportunity to use their services and touch the world of higher spiritual forces.

Religious reading: A mother's most powerful prayer for her daughter's marriage to help our readers.

Which icon should I pray to to get married?

Not only the two listed icons contribute to a happy marriage. The following images can be considered as aids to a strong marriage:

  1. St. Nicholas the Wonderworker - this saint is considered a healer in various fields, so he also responds to sincere requests for a happy marriage.
  2. Saint Xenia of St. Petersburg, who during her lifetime lost her beloved husband, and spent the rest of her years helping others.
  3. Holy Great Martyr Paraskeva Friday, which is famous for its gracious help to both single ladies and men who have experienced love failure.

If you are far from miraculous images, then it does not matter which icon to pray to in order to get married. Saints respond only to sincere prayer without evil intentions or selfish goals.

There is also a prayer for getting married, in which they turn to the Lord. It sounds like this:

“Oh, All-Good Lord, I know that great happiness is spiritual love for You with all my soul and heart and the fulfillment of Your holy will. Control my soul yourself and fill my heart with feelings - I want to please You alone. Deliver me from my self-loving and proud traits - let me be decorated with the emotions of modesty, reason and chastity. Give me the desire for hardworking deeds and bless my labors. Since You command people to live in an honest marriage, then to fulfill my destiny, according to Your will, send an honest and pious spouse. Hear the prayers from the depths of a pure girl’s heart and send me a husband to help me, so that with him in love, harmony and peace we glorify and love You and the Merciful God. And now and forever and ever, Amen.”

Prayer for marriage, strong prayer to Matrona for her daughter’s marriage

I bring to your attention a strong prayer to Matrona for her daughter’s marriage.

The Prayer for Marriage is a heartfelt text that a healer friend of mine recommends reading to fearful parents.

If your daughter’s personal life is full of suffering, and no one is asking you to marry you, then you can try turning to the Blessed Matrona of Moscow with a prayer.

The power of any prayer lies in uncomplaining faith, so you should not approach it with a “cold soul.”

To ask Matrona for God’s intercession for the speedy marriage of your daughter, you will have to strictly follow the following instructions:

Orthodox prayer to Matrona for her daughter’s marriage

1). Go to the Temple and buy 6 good candles. Don't forget to wear a consecrated cross.

2). Before visiting the Temple, you should read the Lord’s Prayer “Our Father” and Psalm 90.

3). If it is not available, purchase the Orthodox Icon of the Blessed Elder Matrona of Moscow there.

4). Take holy water into a pre-prepared container.

5). Place 3 candles at the image of the Matrona of Moscow and read the memorized prayer to yourself:

Oh, blessed Elder Matrona, ask the Lord God for the speedy marriage of my daughter. Forgive her all her grave sins and illuminate the path with your grace. Amen.

6). Cross yourself diligently and leave the Temple without turning around.

7). You should have holy water, an icon and 3 candles.

8). Exactly at midnight, close yourself in the room and light candles. Place the Icon of Matrona, a prayer book and a container with holy water nearby.

9). Look closely at the burning flame and imagine your daughter’s marriage. Believe that nothing will happen without your participation.

10). Read the Lord’s Prayer “Our Father” and Psalm 90 seven times in a row. A total of 14 readings. Cross yourself diligently and drink holy water.

eleven). Read the Matrona’s Prayer for her daughter’s marriage seven times in a row from the page:

Oh, blessed Elder Matrona. I come to you with prayer and ask for my own daughter. Help her with a faithful marriage and send down from heaven a single chosen one. Just as the Lord God created Adam and Eve, so may my daughter find her other half. If the enemy has tried, pray for him in God’s palace and cast off all the shackles of evil celibacy. Let it be so. Amen!

12). Drink the holy water again in small sips.

13). Wait until all the candles have completely gone out.

14). You get rid of their cinders, and put the rest of the accessories, including the prayer text, in a church corner.

15). Don't tell anyone about your midnight reading.

16). After some time, all activities must be repeated.

This was a strong prayer for the marriage of a daughter, addressed to the Blessed Eldress Matrona of Moscow.

You must firmly believe, then everything will definitely work out for you.

The meeting of two people is a kind of secret. Sometimes it takes years to find each other, and sometimes the search for happiness takes decades. Not everything depends on our own desires and capabilities; when searching for a life partner, help from above is always required. Among the many icons of the ever-present Intercessor of Christians, the Mother of God, there are several miraculous ones, glorified precisely for their help in finding family happiness.

Icon of the Mother of God “Unfading Color”

Icon of the Mother of God “Unfading Color”

The distinctive feature of this image is flowers. This could be a lily in the hands of the Most Pure One, or garlands of roses with which images of the Virgin Mary and Christ are literally entwined.

It is believed that icons of this type appear in the 16th or 17th centuries, when the tradition of painting images arose, as if illustrating liturgical chants. Among such texts is the Canon of the Mother of God, the work of St. Joseph the Songwriter (IX century).

This hymnographer, addressing the Mother of God, exclaims:

These words were embodied in colors on the icon, named after the words of St. Joseph.

The Great Akathist (7th century) also refers to the Lady as “the color of incorruption,” with which the name of the icon is also associated.

Theologians do not have a consensus on where exactly these beautiful, festive images first appeared.

According to one version, this is Athos. Many say that, in addition to liturgical chants, the flowers on the icon are also an image of the Holy Mountain, of which the Most Pure Mother Superior is considered the abbess. At the same time, they reflect both the spiritual purity of the Mother of God and the beautiful nature of Athos.

It is also possible that the place where the first icons were created was not Athos, but Constantinople. In any case, the type of icon itself apparently goes back to the Western tradition, although it was written according to Orthodox canons.

Icons came to Russia in the 17th century: they were brought by pilgrims traveling to Greece. There are many known images, glorified as miraculous, both in Russia and in other countries. Among them:

  • paper icon, also called Akathist, found on Mount Tabor (1973);
  • image from the temple dedicated to the icon in the village. Rublevo (Moscow); Akathists are regularly served before him;
  • in the village Sumarokovo, Ruzsky district, Moscow region;
  • The miraculous image is also known in Ukraine, in the Kherson region;
  • venerated image from the Holy Mercy Monastery of the Mother of God in the village. Kadom, the icon was lost after 1917.

Holy places of the Moscow region: shrines

Not only in Moscow itself, but also in its surroundings there are many holy places. Many pilgrims travel to several places at once, pray fervently and the Lord answers their prayers.

Ascension David's Hermitage

The monastery is located in the Moscow region, not far from the village of Novy Byt. This monastery was founded back in the 16th century. It contains many arks, where more than two hundred particles of the relics of the saints of God are located. The monastery itself and its shrines are visited by many pilgrims, they pray for a variety of things: healing, the birth of children, the preservation of the family.

Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Located in the city of Dmitrov in the Moscow region. For a long time there was a miraculous cross there; according to ancient belief, in the 13th century a blind little girl suddenly saw the light - she regained her sight and saw a wooden crucifix next to her. The cross has since been placed in the cathedral so that people suffering from eye diseases could flock there. Unfortunately, the shrine was subsequently moved to the Tretyakov Gallery (in the storerooms), but a copy of the crucifixion, also considered miraculous, remained in Dmitrov.

Trinity-Sergius Lavra

The largest monastery is known to all believers. It is located in Sergiev Posad, in the Moscow region. Pilgrims from all over the world flock to it, because the monastery contains the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh. He performed miracles during his lifetime and continues to pray to the Lord, interceding for people who flock to his relics with their requests of various kinds.

Why is it customary to pray to this icon to get married?

Icon of the Mother of God “Unfading Color”

From the first years of the appearance of these images in Russia, they became famous for special miracles associated with:

  • searching for a life partner;
  • establishing mutual understanding in the family;
  • maintaining mental and physical purity.

Thus, in front of the icon they pray not just for marriage, but for creating a family precisely on Christian principles, relationships based on true love.

Examples of the Mother of God's help

Believers who resort to asking the Mother of God for the arrangement of family life testify to the miracles performed by this image. Among these miracles there is evidence of helping girls and women find a life partner.

Servant of God A. says that after several failures in her personal life, on the advice of a friend, she decided to pray in front of the icon. A few days later, she unexpectedly received a call from a friend from her student years, communication with whom had long been interrupted. Now they are in a happy marriage.

“A friend, although she was no longer very young, shared the problem that her husband died a long time ago and she was so sad and lonely, she would like to have a companion nearby, at least a good friend. I advised her to pray in front of the “Unfading Color” icon, and soon a colleague with shining eyes and a happy smile told me that after the prayer, she really miraculously met her old friend again, who confessed his feelings to her, and they are now together.”

Source in the Tyutchev estate

Holy places in the Moscow region are often associated with the names of prominent figures of Russian culture. One of these places is the estate located in the village of Muranovo, Pushkin district. Its history is closely connected with the names of Pushkin, Tyutchev, Gogol and Aksakov. On the territory of the estate there flows a spring called Barsky. Since time immemorial, everyone who washed themselves with its waters received healing from ailments.

In the first half of the 19th century, the estate came into the possession of the family of the outstanding Russian poet F.I. Tyutcheva. Being a deeply religious man, he considered it necessary to build a temple on the territory of his estate next to the miraculous spring. When the work was completed, it was solemnly consecrated in honor of the Savior Not Made by Hands. From then on, it became a tradition to make religious processions to the source, accompanied by the rite of blessing of water. Nowadays, scientific research has shown that this water has high biological activity. Proof can be the fact that plants watered with it develop better than their counterparts.

Prayer

Icon of the Mother of God “Unfading Color”

Oh, Most Holy and Immaculate Mother of the Virgin, hope of Christians and refuge for sinners! Amen.

“Unexpected Joy” for those who want to start a family

Icon of the Mother of God “Unexpected Joy”

The image of “Unexpected Joy” has appeared since the 18th century. under the influence of the story of St. Demetrius of Rostov about the miracle from the icon of the Mother of God, when, through fervent prayer to her, a great sinner was forgiven.

“A certain many-sinful person had the daily custom of praying to the Most Holy Theotokos, often repeating the words of the angelic greeting: Rejoice, full of grace! One day, preparing to engage in nasty lawlessness, he turned to the image in order to first perform the usual prayer to Her, and then go on a planned evil deed. When he began to pray, fear and horror attacked him: he saw the image moving and the living Mother of God with her Son. He looked and saw that the Baby’s ulcers had opened on his arms and legs, and in his sides, and blood was flowing from them in streams, like on the Cross.”

With horror, realizing that the Mother of God and Christ did not tolerate his sinful life, the man began to pray for forgiveness in repentance. An unexpected, that is, unexpected joy for him was the mercy of God, received through the prayers of His Mother.

Quoted by St. Demetrius, the tradition does not specify exactly what sins were forgiven to the repentant person. However, many interpreters think that these were carnal lusts. It is on this basis that people often pray to the icon for establishing family life on the basis of love, maintaining chastity before marriage, and finding a believing life partner.

The image of a praying man falling on his knees before the Mother of God and Christ is a distinctive feature of the images of “Unexpected Joy”. The miraculous icons of this version were known in different cities of the country before the revolution. There are quite a few of them now too. Only in the capital of Russia there are three such images:

  • in the temple of the prophet Elijah in Obydensky Lane;
  • in the church dedicated to the icon in Maryina Roshcha;
  • at the Church of the Transfiguration on Peski.

Holy places of Moscow: holy springs

Holy springs in general are small sources of water, usually flowing from groundwater, that have acquired healing powers under the influence of some saint. In Moscow itself there are about thirty such springs.

Many clergy currently advise drinking water from sources not immediately, but consecrating it by attending a service in any temple. This way the water will be cleared of the negative influence of the modern environmental situation.

Cold (Sergievsky) holy spring

The source is located in Teply Stan, not far from house 132/8 on Profsoyuznaya Street. According to an old legend, St. Sergius of Radonezh wanted to found a monastery on this site. This never happened, but the spring has been known for a long time - many pilgrims travel to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in order to venerate the saint, and their path also passes through this spring. It is also popular among local residents.

It is believed that the Cold (Sergievsky) holy spring helps with kidney and liver diseases, and migraines. You should drink this water on an empty stomach in the mornings and evenings.

Holy spring in the Tatar ravine

In the Moskvoretsky park of the city, at an address approximately in the area of Osennyaya street, house 18, there is the Tatar ravine, long known to city residents and pilgrims from all over the country, where a healing spring flows. It is located near the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Krylatskoye.

The purest water flows in the spring, if we consider all Moscow holy springs. Believers who come to the spring notice that even when they are near it, they feel cheerfulness, a surge of strength, and their soul becomes lighter. Water from the source is believed to help patients with hypertension, as well as people with mental illness.

Holy springs in Kolomenskoye. Kadochka

Several holy springs are located in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, namely, on the territory of Golosov Ravine. Nearby is the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Kolomenskoye.

The most famous holy spring is Kadochka. According to long-standing legends, he primarily helps women who cannot have a child.

What else can you do to find a good husband?

The structure of life depends not only on the will of God, but on the internal structure of the woman herself. After all, the Lord, wishing good to everyone, will never commit violence against free will. And modern psychologists say: relationships arise when a person is ready for them.

  • understand whether a family is really necessary, or whether a woman is self-sufficient without a relationship;
  • analyze how realistic is the readiness for family life associated with responsibility: if a woman under 30 lives with her parents and is looking for a “reliable” husband who will replace their care, there is a high chance of meeting a “domestic dictator” who is looking for a spouse who is dependent on him; but an independent adult strives to find someone like himself;
  • do not put forward increased demands on your chosen one, in general learn to accept people with their shortcomings, because we ourselves are far from ideal; pay attention to yourself: do an interesting favorite activity, hobby;
  • a self-sufficient, confident woman will, of course, attract a life partner similar to her.

Miraculous springs

The holy places of the Moscow region are especially popular these days, helping pilgrims get rid of ailments or achieve any desired goal. Such places include, for example, miraculous springs. There are about a hundred of them near the capital. One of the most famous and, according to pilgrims, the most miraculous, is the spring located in the David Desert in the Chekhov region.

It was founded by the Monk David five hundred years ago on the banks of the Lopasni River. The monastery still operates there today, and ten kilometers from it there is a courtyard. On its territory there is a church and a holy spring, equipped with two baths for the convenience of pilgrims. According to the testimonies of many who have experienced its miraculous properties, it is known that its waters most effectively heal diseases of the eyes and digestive organs.

Other holy places in Moscow and the Moscow region have also been glorified with extraordinary evidence of the manifestation of God’s Grace. Healing from physical and mental illnesses attracts hundreds of thousands of pilgrims to them every year. Many such places are widely known, for example, the Savvino-Storozhevskaya monastery, located near Zvenigorod. Its founder was the closest student of St. Sergius of Radonezh - the monk Savva, who came to these places more than six hundred years ago.

Not far from the monastery there is a cave in which the saint of God lived, and next to it is a miraculous spring. It is equipped with male and female swimming pools. Many who visit the monastery take with them bottles of holy water, as it is known that it helps with various ailments, and especially with heart disease. In addition, the monastery is famous for its kvass and bread, the likes of which are difficult to find anywhere else.
