In some parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church, a wonderful tradition is being revived - prayer by agreement. One of the initiators was Archpriest Vladimir Golovin. His parish is located in the Russian city of Bolgar (Tatarstan).

The Lord Jesus Christ left us the prayer “Our Father” and also sent the Holy Spirit, who gives strength, reveals a person in a new way, opens his soul to God. Although Jesus ascended into heaven in body, He is with us always, even to the end of the age. This is stated in the Gospel of Matthew. There is also given a method of prayer by agreement.

Vladimir Golovin explains that if at least 2 people (the maximum limit is not set here) agree, that is, agree among themselves, everything they ask will be fulfilled. When people gather for the sake of the name of Christ, He is invisibly present among them, praying. And the Heavenly Father will never refuse Him anything.

What to do if you don’t want to read the text from a book, but would rather pray in your own words? We have to force ourselves, because everything we do for the first time seems interesting and fun. Over time, interest disappears, as in any business. There is no need to feel sorry for yourself. The Lord does not give mercy based on the number of prayers; what matters to him is your diligence. Is it possible to pray for non-believers and those who themselves do not want to participate?

It happens that people do not find understanding in their own home. It happens that husbands are aggressively opposed to any manifestation of the Christian faith. The Lord will not leave if a person asks for what he wants.

Is it possible for the unbaptized to participate in prayer by agreement?

The Lord of Christians is the God of mercy and love, He acts wherever He pleases. You cannot push away a person who comes with a desire to pray. Perhaps there is a great path ahead of him, what will happen if someone does not allow him to take the first step? Is it possible to pray for a drunkard, because the Gospel says that they will not inherit the kingdom of God?

For God, everything is possible - Christ appeared precisely to save sinners. This passage of Scripture means that a person should not die while intoxicated, or spend his whole life in this terrible sin. If a person struggles, God will see it.

Prayer to the Holy Guardian Angel

O holy Angel, my good guardian and patron! With a contrite heart and painful soul I stand before you, praying: hear me, your sinful servant (name of the rivers), crying with a strong cry and a bitter cry; Do not remember my iniquities and untruths, with them I, the accursed one, anger you all day and hour, and I create abominations for myself before our Creator, the Lord; Show yourself merciful to me and do not leave me unfavorably even until my death; awaken me from the sleep of sin and with your prayers help me to pass through the rest of my life without blemish and create fruits worthy of repentance, moreover, keep me from the mortal falls of sin, so that I will not perish in despair and may the enemy not rejoice over my destruction.
