Akathist to Cyprian and Justinia - listen and read online

There are times in life when a person becomes a victim of black magic and witchcraft without even knowing it. He suddenly falls ill or feels unwell, loses his job or loved ones, literally everything in the life of such a person goes awry. Sometimes a successful businessman suddenly becomes a beggar and becomes an alcoholic, or a young woman “dries up” before our eyes, and doctors cannot establish a diagnosis. This is how evil spells, damage or the evil eye work.

About the author About the book

Akathist to Cyprian and Justinia will help a person resist witchcraft and protect him from attacks by the forces of darkness. The word “akathist” means “singing while standing,” that is, such a prayer must be read while standing, glorifying the good deeds of the saints and asking them for protection and help.

How to find out that a person has been damaged? Here are some signs of such a destructive process:

  • Loss of appetite and pain in the body.
  • Sudden “sticky fear”, feeling of anxiety.
  • Constant groundless irritability and aggression.
  • The desire to “kill oneself.”
  • Unbearable mental suffering of unknown origin.
  • The appearance of “alien voices” in the head (auditory hallucinations).
  • Constant insomnia or, conversely, excessive sleepiness and yawning.

The Akathist to Cyprian and Justinia can be read at any time of the day, with the only exception being the period of church fasts. Even if various thoughts (thoughts) sent by the devil appear in your head, you cannot stop in prayer. Particular attention should be paid to the correct placement of stress in words. This is the only way to get a favorable result.

Who are Justinia and Cyprian? (A little about the life history of the saints)

The Orthodox Church celebrates the Memorial Day of Cyprian and Justinia on October 15th. The holy martyrs were executed in Nicomedia in 304.

Before converting to Christianity, Cyprian was a famous sorcerer in Antioch and successfully sent demons to people. One day, the rich young man Aglaid asked the sorcerer to cast a spell on the young Christian Justina, with whom he was in love, but did not receive her favor. “Christ is my Bridegroom; I serve Him alone and for His sake I preserve my purity,” the girl refused the groom every time.

With the help of demonic power, Cyprian tried to influence Justina three times, but the demons had no power over her, since the girl protected herself with the Sign of the Cross, as well as prayer and fasting.

Even after Cyprian sent a pestilence to the city in which Justina lived, the demons could not resist the prayer power of the Christian woman. The sorcerer realized the powerlessness of evil spirits before the Almighty, repented of his sins, gave his magic books to Bishop Anfim to be burned, renounced paganism and converted to Christianity. Soon Cyprian became a bishop and with his prayer life became equal to the great saints. Justina went to the monastery, where she was elected abbess (abbess).

Cyprian and Justina preached Christianity together, and subsequently suffered martyrdom for Christ and now have power over demons. Interesting fact: a certain Theoktist (a warrior who saw the martyrdom of innocent Christians) also declared himself a Christian and suffered execution along with them. The miraculous relics of the saints now rest on the island of Cyprus in the village of Meniko, within the walls of the temple named in their honor.

Martyr Ustinha and Martyr Cyprian

The life of these saints was not particularly easy. During life, they were complete opposites of each other, but time makes its own adjustments. Cyprian was born into a family of warlocks. This was in the 3rd century in lands near Syria. The parents had certain knowledge in the field of black magic and wanted to pass it on to their son.

The boy was taught various techniques. He was very capable and eventually even surpassed them. Therefore, it was decided to send him further to learn all the subtleties of the craft in other abodes of warlocks. He traveled for a long time from one settlement to another and learned more and more.

At the age of 30, he reached such heights that it is unlikely that anyone could surpass him. There is even a legend that the prince of darkness himself appeared to him, introducing him as his successor. An entire regiment of demons, demons and princes of darkness was given to Cyprian. And he actively used them. At that time he knew a lot:

He met Ustinya thanks to a young man. The girl was born into a family of idolaters, but had no special desire for her. One day she heard a priest preaching. He talked about the Lord and his deeds. These words touched the girl’s soul and she decided to learn more about this faith. So she began to follow Christian principles. In addition, over time, she lured her parents to Christianity and they underwent the rite of baptism.

There also lived in that settlement a rich guy who wanted to take possession of Ustinya. The girl refused him repeatedly. And then he decided to turn to Cyprian for help. He wanted the sorcerer to make her run after the young man and languish in love with him. Cyprian sent demons to her three times, but each time they returned in defeat. With the help of the Lord, Ustinya was able to overcome the devil's temptations.

Then Cyprian himself went to her and realized that he no longer wanted to serve the devil. Thus, he too came over to the side of good. He tried to help people, just like Ustinha. Since he knew all the possible machinations of dark forces, he knew how to protect himself from them. That is why whole lines of people came to him. But the saints were slandered and condemned to death.

The protective power of the Akathist to Cyprian and Justina

How does the Akathist to Cyprian and Justin work? They resort to prayerful words to the saints in order to protect them from evil spirits sent by sorcerers. Since the Hieromartyr Cyprian went through the path of serving the dark forces, he has power over them. Currently residing in heavenly abodes, the saint helps those who call upon him to overcome the negative influence of evil forces.

The righteous Justina defeats unclean spirits, therefore the akathist to these two saints has double power . Prayer acts as a kind of “shield” that protects from envious and “eye-catching” people, black magicians and sorcerers. Of course, the text of the akathist, like any prayer, should be read from the heart, deeply believing and completely relying on the omnipotence of the Lord.

The akathist talks about the life and earthly exploits of Cyprian and Justina, based on the notes of their contemporaries. The text also mentions the persecution of Christians carried out under the Roman ruler Diocletian.

The full text of the akathist to Cyprian and Justinia is given below.
