The girl, biting her elbows and tearing out her hair, ran to the temple with tears, received Baptism and repented of her sins. From then on, she began to lead a pure, godly life. A little from the life of St. John

John the Baptist was a long-awaited son who was born a little earlier than Jesus Christ.
