The story of Valentina Kokorina from the city of Krasnoufimsk:
“My grandson Yura is 6 years old. The boy got sick and did not hear. They spoke to him very loudly, and if they spoke calmly, he did not react. They put me in a hospital in Yekaterinburg and said that they would be treated for a very long time. When his mother took him to the hospital, the icon of the Pochaev Mother of God was in Yekaterinburg. I advised her to go to the temple and venerate the icon. They were allowed to venerate the icon three times. So our Yura was in the hospital.
I went to visit him and went to the icon every time. Once I bought a small icon, attached it to the icon and went to the hospital. I gave the icon to my grandson to kiss. Which icon of the Mother of God should I pray to?
Many people mistakenly believe that there are as many “Virgin Mothers” as there are icons of the same name: Vladimir, Kazan, Iveron. Accordingly, you need to pray to different “Mothers” in certain life circumstances and needs. But such judgments are fundamentally wrong. The Mother of God is alone.
There are various iconographic images of Her. Some icons tell about gospel events (Annunciation, Dormition of the Mother of God).
