An exam, no matter what age and no matter what stage of personal development you have to take, is an important stage in the life of every person. Sooner or later, everyone has to take one that turns out to be the most important in life. The main thing that needs to be done to successfully pass the exam is to ensure high-quality and systematic preparation for it.
However, being confident and trusting in the will of the Almighty, it is worth turning to him with a dua for support in this difficult moment. A dua before an exam is not just a plea for help: it is an appeal for a blessing, a hope that in a difficult moment He will open the student’s heart to the truth and help him find the right answer to an important question. Dua is an appeal for powerful support, which will certainly be sent to someone who has diligently studied the material and made every effort to prepare. Dua plays a very important role in Islam, and under any circumstances in life, a Muslim should turn to God for help.

Dua for passing exams
During exams we feel tension and constant anxiety.
Exam time is approaching. Soon, in schools and universities, pupils and students will face a serious test, experiencing anxiety and fear. Exams are always stressful, a nervous and hectic time not only for those taking the exams, but also for their loved ones. But do not despair and become despondent; the acquired knowledge and preparation will help you pass the exams. In addition, the believer has a special weapon that, by the mercy of Allah, will make this test easier. This is a dua, reading which before an exam will relieve stress and help you perform better in the exam.
There are two things that are the source of success in any business - perseverance and the will of Allah. And simply pronouncing a dua will not bring good luck until a person has a sincere intention, makes an effort, shows perseverance, and most importantly, it is not the will of Allah Almighty. But we should not forget that a sincerely made dua asking Allah to grant good in this matter will in every possible way contribute to the successful outcome of the matter.
Dua for anxiety before exams
During exams, we feel tension and constant anxiety, which can affect the result, so we need to read dua for anxiety.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “If something bothers a person, let him say: “O Ever-Living, Eternally Existing, I resort to Your mercy and help” / “Ya Hayu ya Qayyum birahmatika astagys”/.
Dua for Exam Fear
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught his Companions to say the following words if they feel fear: “I take refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger, and the evil of His servants, and from the instigations of the devils and from their coming to me.” /A'uzubika bi kalimati Llahi at-tammati min gadabihi wa min sharri ibadhi wa min hamazat ash-shaitini wa an yahdurun/.
“Allahumma inni abduka ibnu abdika ibnu amatika nasyati biyadika mazyn fiya hukmuka, adlyun fiya kazauka, asaluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammaita bihi nafsaka, vaansaltahu fi kitabika, wa allamtahu ahadan min halqika wa istasarta bihi fi ilmi lgaibi indaka an tajalal of the Quran rabia kalbi vanura sadri wajalyaa huzni wazahab gummi!”

“O Allah, verily I am Thy servant, and the son of Thy servant, and the son of Thy handmaid. I am subject to You, Your decisions are binding on me, and the sentence You passed on me is fair. I conjure You by each of Your names, by which You called Yourself, or sent it down in Your Book, or revealed it to anyone of Your creation, or left it hidden from everyone except You, to make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest and the reason for the disappearance of my sadness and the end of my anxiety!
“Allahumma inni auzu bika minal-hammi wal-khazani wal-ajzi wal-kasali wal-bukhli wal-jubni vadali-ddaini vagalyabati-rijali.”

How Muslim prayer will affect learning ability
Prayers in teaching new knowledge tune the student’s mind to perceive information, strengthen memory, and calm down before the exam. Reading duas alone will not be enough; it is important to prove to God the truth of your aspirations, desires to get an education, without putting yourself above other people.
The answer to complex questions can come after turning to Allah for guidance. If there is no true desire to achieve a positive mark in an honest way, then this may anger the Almighty. There will be a price to pay for the sin committed.
If the intentions are pure, the student will make every effort to study successfully, Allah will hear. Reading the Dua will help remove anxiety, fear during the exam, and will direct the hand and mind of the believer in the right direction.
What prayer should I read before an exam?
Those who want to pass exams successfully need not only to make dua, but also perform more additional prayers. One of the most important is the night prayer of Tahajjud, which, according to hadith, is like an arrow hitting the target. It is also reliably known that “every night there is a moment when Allah will fulfill everything that a person asks for in dua” (hadith from Muslim).
There is also another equally important prayer - hajjat. It can be performed at almost any time except for the prohibited period: when the sun is at its zenith and during Asr (Ikende) prayer. To perform this prayer correctly, you need to take the small ablution again (even if you have one). Read two rakats of tauba (istighfar) prayer and sincerely repent, ask for forgiveness for all sinful acts that are known and unknown to us, hidden and obvious, committed with and without intention, large and small. After this, you can recite two rakats of the Hajjat prayer. It is performed in the same way as a simple sunnat prayer of two rak'ahs. There is no need to read special surahs and duas in prayer. After finishing with a bow to the ground (most desirable) or raising your hands in prayer, you need to ask the Almighty for what you want.
Do not forget that it is not so much dua and prayer that helps to achieve success, but the will of Allah and the creation of reasons for this: hard work in preparation, a conscientious attitude to the subject. An authentic hadith states that a Muslim must first tie the camel and then rely on his Creator. Therefore, prayer is only an addition, but not a guarantee of an excellent result. Trust in the Almighty and ask him for a good outcome!
Prayer for Students
It is no secret that for every student, be it a schoolchild, an applicant or a student, the most stressful time is the time of tests, tests and exams. Each session is associated with a preparation stage and the actual delivery of the disciplines studied during the study period. During this period, Muslim students especially rely on the Grace of the Almighty in the hope of His help in finding peace and overcoming upcoming difficulties.
It is human nature to be lazy and distracted by various everyday moments. This complicates both the preparation itself and prevents you from collecting your thoughts at a crucial moment. In such cases, it is recommended to read 4 rakats of the spirit prayer, and before or during the exam, 1, or better yet, say a prayer 10 times to concentrate attention and against laziness:
Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary before the exam
Most Pure Mother of God, the House in which the Wisdom of God created for Himself, the Giver of spiritual gifts, raising our minds from the world to the worldly and leading everyone to the knowledge of reason! Receive prayerful singing from us, Thy unworthy servants, who bow with faith and tenderness before Thy most pure image. Pray to Thy Son and our God to grant to our rulers wisdom and strength, to judges truth and impartiality, to shepherds spiritual wisdom, zeal and vigilance for our souls, to mentors humility, to children obedience, to all of us the spirit of reason and piety, the spirit of humility and meekness, spirit of purity and truth. And now, our All-Singing, All-Beloved Mother, give us an increase in intelligence, pacify, unite those who exist in enmity and division and lay down for them an insoluble bond of love, convert all those who have gone astray from foolishness to the light of the truth of Christ, instruct the fear of God, abstinence and hard work, the word of wisdom and Grant soulful knowledge to those who ask, cover us with eternal joy, the brightest Cherubim and the most honest Seraphim. We, seeing the glorious deeds and manifold wisdom of God in the world and our life, will remove ourselves from earthly vanities and unnecessary worldly cares, and will raise our minds and hearts to Heaven, as if by Your intercession and help glory, praise, thanksgiving and worship for all in the Trinity We send our praises to the glorious God and Creator of all, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Prayer (dua) to improve memory
And yet, the most effective method to avoid anxiety when taking an exam is to prepare well for it, because a confident person is less worried and worried. To better master the disciplines being studied, it is necessary to strengthen your memory. The most effective means for this are diligence, persistence in studying and reducing food intake. Sunnat prayers performed at night (such as Tahajjud), as well as reading the Koran (in compliance with all rules and adabs), contribute to improving memory. At the same time, it is preferable to read the Koran from the text rather than from memory.
After each obligatory prayer, it is advisable to read:
All rights reserved . وَكَفَرْتُ بِما سِواهُ _ _ _ _ _
“I believe in Allah, the One, the True, He is alone, and there is no partner in His service, and I deny another besides Him.”.
It is also advisable to often read blessings (salawat) on the Prophet ﷺ, for, truly, he is a mercy sent down to all the worlds.
Prayer to St. Spyridon of Trimythous for help in studies
O blessed Saint Spyridon! Beg the mercy of God, the Lover of Mankind, not to judge us for our iniquities, but to deal with us according to His mercy. Ask us, God's servants (names), from Christ and God for our peaceful, serene life, mental and physical health. Deliver us from all spiritual and physical troubles, from all yearnings and the devil’s slander. Remember us at the throne of the Almighty and beg the Lord to grant us forgiveness for many of our sins, grant us a comfortable and peaceful life, and grant us a shameless and peaceful death and eternal bliss in the future, so that we may continually send glory and thanksgiving to the Father and the Son and the Spirit Holy, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
