Where did the custom of making Christ come from?
According to legend, the Easter greeting dates back to that great day when three women - the mothers of the apostles Salome and Mary, and with them Mary Magdalene - came to anoint the body of Christ, but found only a stone rolled away from the cave and an angel who told them not to look for Jesus crucified , but go and tell the disciples that He has risen from the dead.
The women joyfully rushed to tell the apostles about the miracle that had happened, and they, after a short period of understandable doubts, carried the good news further. So we can safely assume: the first Christening on Easter took place precisely in those distant days when the disciples and followers of Jesus enthusiastically conveyed to each other the good news: “Christ is Risen! Truly risen!” and out of excess of feelings they hugged and kissed each other.

Today, we, reproducing the same actions at the festive service in the church, on the street and at home, join in the joy of the once rejoicing apostles and pick up the baton that has lasted for thousands of years, proclaiming: “Rejoice! The difficulty in writing is caused by the word “truly”, which, by analogy with the preposition “in”, is supposed to be written separately.

The phrase “ Christ is Risen ” is always written with a capital letter, since Christ is a proper name. The word “resurrected” is a common noun, meaning action and therefore written with a small letter. In some cases, due to its special importance, you can also write the second word with a capital letter; this is not entirely correct from an academic point of view, but it shows the author’s attitude towards this phrase and the meaning it carries.
The phrase “ truly is risen ” in the middle of the sentence is written with a small letter, since both words are common nouns. In practice, this phrase often occurs at the beginning of a sentence or as direct speech, which necessitates its capitalization.

No, we should not abandon the tradition of kissing our interlocutor: it contains a symbol of our joy from the accomplished event and the love that people should feel for each other, as the Savior feels for humanity. Moreover, the number of kisses should be three times, in honor of the Holy Trinity. However, with people you don’t know well, it is enough to symbolically touch your vis-a-vis cheeks – also three times.
