Many times I came across videos dedicated to this title, but I put off watching it because I didn’t really like the main character. In the next video I saw the battle between Escanor and Estarossa, and the title was in Chinese and I didn’t know where the fragment came from. When I found out the name, I decided that for the sake of this skirmish, as well as to find out more about such a textured character, it was worth giving this anime a chance.

This season is remembered for precisely the same battle that I wrote about at the beginning. In this part of the story, events develop on a large scale, the 10 Commandments come onto the scene - a group of high-level demons who were given power by the Demon King himself. The Kingdom of Lyonesse will have a hard time again, just as it has recovered from the consequences of the coup, a new attack threatens to destroy all people and bring the “Demon Lord” into this world. They will explain to us in detail the history of this world, explain how the conflict between races began. They will show the development of the main characters, some will regain their former strength, and some will begin to build relationships. We will also learn who Meliodas really is, and the nature of his power will be revealed to viewers.

As in the first season, we will be told an interesting twisted story. Everything I liked before was taken to a higher level this season. More humor, more cool battles, and constant tension in the plot. The viewer will be shown not only the present, but also the past of the heroes.

Season three

The fight against the 10 Commandments continues. The team of heroes gains the upper hand, but they are still far from complete victory. Zeldris, Meliodas' brother, and also the strongest of the commandments, wants to return his relative to the path of darkness. The primordial, strongest demons will help him in this. The third "brother" Estarossa, has lost his mind due to the power of the commandments that he absorbed and is trying to take possession of Meliodas' most precious thing, Princess Elizabeth, who is revealed in a completely different light. I wouldn't call this season completely bad, but the plot, thanks to the intertwining of angels and demons, becomes more confusing. Battles often take place in one wicket, and the entertainment is lost, and the saddest thing is the understanding that many moments are wildly drawn out and this makes the series seem boring.

Season four

The final season is the culmination of all lines, answers all questions, and is striking in its stupidity and banality. Almost half of the season is devoted to the murder of the "Demon Lord". First, one of the seven, the immortal Ban, will help Meliodas get out of purgatory, in which they will fight the main villain for the first time. Then the events will move to the real world, and there King D will be reborn in the body of Meliodos. During this battle and after, we will have to listen to a ton of dialogues on the topic of friendship, saving loved ones and self-sacrifice. It was drawn out and monotonous, I watched everything that was happening while plugging into my phone and occasionally checking to see if it was over.

Bottom line

I wouldn't call this anime completely bad, and what I saw in the first and second seasons was very cool, even the third still kept the overall experience afloat. The ending of the anime was a disappointment, of course, not like in “Game of Thrones,” but it was very jarring. There have always been conversations about friendship in this story, but the conflict in the last episodes was at the level of “for the family” from Fast and the Furious. The main intrigue of the relationship between Elizabeth and Meliodas was well thought out, but presented through snivels and banal phrases. By the way, there were no funny jokes at all in the last season. So we get an ambiguous opinion, like the anime is popular, and you can watch it, but whether it is worth the disappointments that await in the end, everyone will decide for themselves.
