Kathisma 18 Psalm 131

Psalter. Kathisma 18

KAFISM OSMAYAN TEN.

Psalm 119.

Song of degrees.

1 To the Lord, when I was in sorrow, I called, and he heard me. 2 Lord, deliver my soul from the walls of unrighteousness and from the tongue of flattery. 3 What will be given to you, or what will be added to your flattering tongue? 4 The arrows of the mighty are sharp, with coals of waste. 5 Woe is me, because my coming continues, I have moved from the village of Kedar. 6 My soul has wandered many times, making peace with those who hate the world: 7 Whenever I spoke to them, I fought against me.

Psalm 120.

Song of degrees.

1 I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from there my help will come. 2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. 3 Do not let your feet become troubled; the one who guards you will slumber; 4 the one who guards you will not sleep; the one who guards Israel will sleep. 5 The Lord will protect you, the Lord will cover your hand on your right hand. 6 During the days the sun will not burn you; the moon will not burn you at night. 7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; the Lord will preserve your soul. 8 The Lord will preserve your coming in and your going out from now on and forever.

Psalm 121.

Song of degrees.

1 I rejoiced at those who said to me, Let us go to the house of the Lord. 2 Our feet are standing in your courts, Jerusalem. 3 Jerusalem was built like a city, and its communion is together. 4 There the tribes went up, the tribe of the Lord, the testimony of Israel, confessed to the name of the Lord, 5 for there they sat on thrones for judgment, thrones in the house of David. 6 Ask also about the peace of Jerusalem: and abundance for those who love you. 7 May peace be in your strength and abundance in your pillars. 8 For the sake of my brothers and my neighbors, peace be with you. 9 To the house, for the sake of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.

Psalm 122.

Song of degrees.

1 I lift up my eyes to You, who dwell in Heaven. 2 Behold, as the eyes of a servant are in the hand of his masters, as the eyes of a servant are in the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are towards the Lord our God, until he will spare us. 3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us, for we are filled with much humiliation; 4 especially our soul is filled with the reproaches of the gobblers and the humiliation of the proud.

Psalm 123.

Song of degrees.

1 For if the Lord were not in us, let Israel say, 2 For if the Lord were not in us, men would never rise up against us, for they would devore us alive, 3 They would always be angry with their wrath against us. us, otherwise the water would drown us . 4 Our soul shall pass over the stream, 5 For our soul shall pass over the fickle waters. 6 Blessed be the Lord, who will not let us be caught in their teeth. 7 Our soul, like a bird, has escaped from the net of those who catch it: the net is broken, and we are delivered. 8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Glory:

Psalm 124.

Song of degrees.

1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion; they will not move in Jerusalem for the living age. 2 The mountains are around him, and the Lord is around his people from now on and forever. 3 For the Lord will not leave the rod of sinners for the lot of the righteous, lest they lay down righteousness in the iniquity of their hands. 4 Please, O Lord, those who are good and upright in heart. 5 But the Lord will take away those who turn into corruption with those who practice iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.

Psalm 125.

Song of degrees.

1 Always return the captivity of Zion to the Lord for comfort. 2 Then our mouth was filled with joy and our tongue was filled with gladness, then they cried among the nations, “The Lord has magnified to do with them.” 3 The Lord has magnified to do with us: we will rejoice. 4 Return, O Lord, our captivity, like the floods of the south. 5 They sow with tears and reap with joy. 6 Those who walk and weep, scattering their seed, will come with joy in the future, grasping their hands.

Psalm 126.

Song of degrees.

1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord preserves the city, watch in vain. 2 It is in vain that you will grow gray, eating the bread of sickness, when He gives sleep to His beloved. 3 Behold the heritage of the Lord, the reward of the fruit of the womb. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so the sons of them are shaken off. 5 Blessed is he who gets his desire from them. They will not be ashamed when they speak against their enemies in the gates.

Psalm 127.

Song of degrees.

1 Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in His ways. 2 Bear the fruits of your labors: blessed are you, and good will come to you. 3 Your wife is like a vine, she is fruitful in the lands of your house, 4 your sons are like new olive trees around your table. 5 Behold, the man who fears the Lord will be blessed. 6 The Lord will bless you from Zion, 7 and you will see good Jerusalem all the days of your life, and your sons will see your sons. Peace be upon Israel.

Psalm 128.

Song of degrees.

1 You have fought with me with multitudes since my youth, so Israel may say: 2 You have fought with me with multitudes since my youth, because you have not prevailed against me. 3 On my ridge is the work of the sinner, who continues her iniquity. 4 The Lord is righteous in cutting off the necks of sinners. 5 Let all who hate Zion be put to shame and turn back. 6 Let them be like the grass of this place, even before the rapture from above, 7 Let not your hand reap, nor gather the bosom of your hand, 8 And let not those who pass by decide: The blessing of the Lord be upon you, Bless you in the name of the Lord.

Glory:

Psalm 129.

Song of degrees.

1 From the depths I have cried to You, Lord, Lord, hear my voice. 2 Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my prayer. 3 If you see iniquity, O Lord, O Lord, who will stand? For You have purification. 4 For Thy name's sake I have endured Thee, O Lord, my soul has endured in Thy word; my soul trusteth in the Lord. 5 From the morning watch until the night, from the morning watch let Israel trust in the Lord. 6 For with the Lord is mercy, and with him is great deliverance, and he will deliver Israel from all his iniquities.

Psalm 130.

Song of degrees.

1 Lord, my heart is not exalted, my eyes are exalted lower, I walk lower in the great, lower in the wondrous ones. 2 Even though I did not humble myself, I lifted up my soul, as it was given to my mother, so reward my soul. 3 Let Israel trust in the Lord from now on and forever.

Psalm 131.

Song of degrees.

1 Remember, Lord, David and all his meekness: 2 as I swear to the Lord, I promised to Jacob to God: 3 If I go into the country of my house, or go up to my bed, 4 If I give sleep to my eyes my mind and my every place my slumber, and the peace of my mind 5 Until I find the place of the Lord, a habitation for the God of Jacob. 6 Behold, I heard in Euphratha, and I found it in the oak fields. 7 Let us go into His villages and worship the place where He stood. 8 Arise, O Lord, into Thy rest, Thou and the ark of Thy holiness. 9 Your priests will be clothed with righteousness, and your saints will rejoice. 10 For David's sake, do not turn away the face of your anointed one for the sake of your servant. 11 The Lord has sworn to David in truth, and will not repudiate it: I will set you on your throne of the fruit of your womb. 12 If your sons keep my covenant and these testimonies which I will teach, then their sons will sit on your throne forever. 13 Because the Lord has chosen Zion, he willed it for his own dwelling place. 14 This is my rest forever and ever, here I will dwell as I please. 15 I will bless his trap, I will satisfy his poor with bread, 16 I will clothe his priests with salvation, and his saints will rejoice with joy. 17 There I will make the horn of David grow; I will prepare a lamp for my anointed one. 18 I will clothe his enemies with cold, in which my sanctuary will flourish.

Psalm 132.

Song of degrees.

1 Is this good or red? But the brethren must live together. 2 Like the ointment that is on the head, which descends on the brad, the brad of Aaron, which descends on the waistcoats of his garments, 3 Like the dew of Aermon that descends on the mountains of Zion, like the commandments of the Lord, he is a blessing and he lives. from century to century.

Psalm 133.

Song of degrees.

1 Behold, now bless the Lord, all the servants of the Lord who stand in the temple of the Lord, in the courtyard of the house of our God, 2 At night lift up your hands in holiness, and bless the Lord. 3 The Lord will bless you from Zion, who made the heavens and the earth.

Glory:

According to the 18th kathisma, the Trisagion of Our Father: Also troparia, tone 2:

Do not even condemn me first, my Lord, Lord, grant me conversion and correction of many of my sins, grant me spiritual tenderness, so that I may cry out to You: O Compassionate, Most Lover of Mankind, my God, I have saved and me.

Glory: I, the prodigal, became like foolish cattle, and was joined to them: grant me conversion, O Christ, that I may receive great mercy from You.

And now: Do not turn away, O Lady, Your face from me, who prays to You, but, as the Compassionate Mother of the Generous God, I strive before the end to grant me conversion, since I was saved by You, I will sing to You , like my salvation and hope, unashamed, my Lady.

Lord, have mercy (40) and prayer:

Lord, do not reprove me with Your wrath; do not punish me with Your wrath. Master Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me, the sinner, the poor, the naked, the lazy, the careless, the disobedient, the accursed, the fornicator, the adulterer, the malachik , homosexual, nasty, prodigal, ungrateful, unmerciful, cruel, drunkard, burned with conscience, impersonal , boldless, irresponsible, unworthy of Your love for mankind, and worthy of all torment, and hell, and torment. And do not, for the sake of my many sins, inflict torment on the Redeemer; but have mercy on me, for I am weak, in soul, and in flesh, and in mind, and in thought, and through the destinies save me, Thy unworthy servant, through the prayers of our Most Pure Lady God Mother of God, and all the saints, who have pleased You from time immemorial: for blessed art Thou in forever and ever, amen.

Psalm 17

1. To the end. The Lord's servant David, who spoke to the Lord

the words of this song on the day on which the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies

and by the hand of Saul, and said197:

I love You, Lord, my strength!

The Lord is my rock, and my refuge, and my deliverer, my God, my helper, in whom I trust, my protector and the horn of my salvation, my protector.

I will praisefully call on the Lord and I will be saved from my enemies.

Mortal diseases have seized me, and the torrents of iniquity have troubled me.

The diseases of hell surrounded me, the nets of death met me.

But in my sorrow I called on the Lord and cried out to my God: He heard my voice from His holy temple, and my cry to Him penetrated199 into His ears.

And the earth shook and trembled, and the foundations of the mountains were shaken and moved, for God was angry with them.

Smoke arose from His anger, and fire was kindled from His face, and coals were kindled by Him.

And He bowed down the heavens and came down, and darkness was under His feet.

And he mounted the cherubim and flew, flew on the wings of the wind.

And He made darkness His covering, His tabernacle was around Him: dark water in the clouds of air.

Because of the brilliance, clouds, hail and coals of fire passed before Him.

And the Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High gave His voice.

He sent arrows and dispersed them200, and multiplied the lightning and threw them into confusion.

And springs of water appeared, and the foundations of the universe were revealed from Thy wrathful rebuke, O Lord, from Thy wrathful breath.

He sent (help)201 from on high and received me, took me from many waters.

He delivered me from my strong enemies and from those who hated me, who were stronger than me.

They overtook me in the day of my trouble, but the Lord was my strength.

And He brought me out into the open: He delivered me, for He was well pleased202 with me.

And the Lord will reward me according to my righteousness, and will reward me according to the cleanliness of my hands.

For I have kept the ways of the Lord and have not been wicked before my God.

For all His judgments203 are before me, and I have never departed from His statutes204.

And I will be blameless before Him, and I will be preserved from my iniquity.

And the Lord will reward me according to my righteousness and the purity of my hands in His sight:

You will deal righteously with the righteous, and with the innocent man according to his innocence,

You will deal with the chosen one as with the chosen one, and you will overthrow the evil one206.

For You will save the humble people, and You will humble the eyes of the proud.

You will light my lamp, O Lord my God, You will illuminate my darkness.

For by You I will be delivered from temptation207 and with my God I will go over the wall.

My God! His way is blameless, the words of the Lord are purified208. He is the protector of all who trust in Him.

For who is God except the Lord? Or who is God besides our God?

God will girdle me with strength and make my way blameless:

He strengthens209 my legs like a deer’s, and sets me on high.

Accustoms my hands to war, made my muscles like a copper bow.

You gave me the shield of Your salvation210, and Your right hand supported me, and Your teaching completely corrected211 me, and Your admonition taught me.

You have enlarged my steps212, and my feet have not weakened213.

I will pursue my enemies and overtake them, and I will not return until they are destroyed.

I will cramp them, (so that) they will not be able to stand up, they will fall under my feet.

And You have girded me with strength for battle, You have brought down all who rise up against me under my feet.

And he showed me the backbone of my enemies, and destroyed those who hated me.

They cried out, but there was no one to save them; they turned to the Lord, but He did not hear them.

And I will scatter them like dust before the wind, I will clean them off like street dirt.

You will save me from popular indignation and make me the head of the nations. A people I did not know served me,

By ear he obeyed me; (a) the foreigners lied to me,

The foreigners became decrepit and strayed from their paths216.

The Lord lives and blessed be God217! And exalted be the God of my salvation:

God, who will reward me and subdue the nations for me,

Delivered me from my wrathful enemies. You will remove218 me from those who rise up against me, You will deliver219 me from the unrighteous man.

Therefore I will confess to You, O Lord, among the nations and sing to Your name220,

Glorifying the salvation of the king221. You show222 mercy to Your anointed, David, and to his seed forever223.
