1 Speech is foolish in his heart, there is no God. Having become corrupted and disgusted in your undertakings, do no good. 2 The Lord speaks from heaven against the sons of men, see, if there is anything, they understand or seek God. 3 All of them turned away, and together they became incompetent: you do no goodness, you bring it to one. 4Will not all the workers of iniquity, who devour my people's bread, understand? You didn’t call on the Lord. 5 There they were afraid of fear, even though there was no fear, for the Lord was among the generation of the righteous. 6The advice of the poor is put to shame, but the Lord is his hope. 7Who will give salvation to Israel from Zion? 8When the Lord brings back the captivity of His people, Jacob will rejoice, and Israel will rejoice.

1Lord, who dwells in Your dwelling? Or who will dwell in Your holy mountain? 2Walk blamelessly and do righteousness, speak the truth in your heart. 3Let him not deceive with his tongue, neither do evil to his own sincerity, nor receive reproach against his neighbors. 4 The wicked one is humiliated before him, but the one who fears glorifies the Lord, swearing to his sincere and not discarding. 5 I will not give my silver for interest and will not accept bribes for the innocent. This creator will not move forever.

Interpretation
Psalm 6, like many others written by David, reflects his experiences related to specific events in the life of the king. Despite the fact that this prayer is very personal for a real historical figure, today it is used as a universal one.
Such kathisma should be interpreted by considering the verses separately:
- Verses 1 to 3. David comes to the realization that in many ways he is to blame in his life, and for the sins he has committed, he asks God for forgiveness. The king hopes that the Almighty will not abandon his son, who has deviated from His laws through negligence. At the same time, the author of the lamentation song does not try to justify himself and beg for help as a reward for the good he has done. Thus, he proves that his inner strength, despite his physical weakness, is in place, as is his unshakable faith in the Lord.
- Verses 4 to 5. David promises the One Creator that he will glorify Him if he saves him and forgives him all his sins.
- Verses 6 to 7 The king speaks of illnesses that cause him suffering. It was they who made him weak, which his ill-wishers tried to take advantage of, from whom he was forced to hide.
- Verses 8 to 10. The author of kathisma emphasizes that he believes in a better future, because he knows that God hears his prayer. David received the Lord's help; it was sent to him in the form of strength and confidence necessary for those who were preparing reprisals for him.
Despite the fact that this prayer begins as a cry, a complaint about all troubles, in the end it transforms, convincing the reader that his appeal to God will not remain unanswered. This kathisma is worth reading regularly, but you can also listen to Psalm 6. This is the spiritual reading that allows a Christian to grow, become closer to the Almighty, and strengthen love for Him.
