In the religious Christian hierarchy, Angels are considered the last 9th rank. Angels are the name given to higher beings who are entrusted by God to protect people from evil. There is an Angel next to each person from the moment of baptism.
He cares and prays for a Christian and protects him from troubles and sorrows. According to the Holy Scriptures, there are 7 Archangels (main angels) who rule over everyone else.
The Christian Church includes: Gabriel, Michael, Uriel, Raphael, Barachiel, Jehudiel and Selafiel. Angels exist in the intangible spiritual world near the throne of the Lord.
The Christian religion has revered Angels and the Holy Church since ancient times. During the Old Testament, the prophet Moses received commandments from the Lord, which included the glorification of the golden Cherubim (Exod. 37: 7-9).
They say that God himself often descends to people in the form of an angel. The appearance of holy Angels has always been revered among believers, and the places of their appearance were subsequently considered sacred.
During prayers and services, the Christian Church offers prayers to the holy angelic powers and pays them reverence and reverence. The celebration of the Council of the Archangel Michael and other Heavenly Powers was proclaimed at the beginning of the 15th century at the Council of Laodicea, which in one of its rules prohibited the worship of angelic powers as creators and kings of the world, and then established their veneration in Orthodoxy.
What do they pray to the holy angelic powers?
An angel is the closest and most faithful guardian of every Christian. They need to pray in times of need, danger or fear. They are the first to be asked for protection in any difficult situation, when advice and help are urgently needed.
You can offer prayer to the angelic powers anywhere. It is better to read them daily, to thank the Lord and the Holy Angels for every second you live, for family happiness, peaceful existence and all the blessings given to you in this world, even if it seems to a person that fate is unfair to him at the moment.
We must always be able to appreciate what we have, and then the Lord will give the believer much more. Glorifying his Guardian Angel, a Christian gives thanks for the daily intercession of his soul before God.
You can pray to the holy angelic powers for everything: health, help in work, healing from illnesses, well-being of loved ones, etc. The most important thing is to do this with faith and a reliable soul.
Prayers for material well-being
A businessman suffering losses or an unemployed person who cannot pay off debts or find a job should turn to his intercessor with a request to attract financial success and a stable income by praying to the guardian angel for help in business. They help not only in making a profit, but also in trade deals, promotions and building relationships with management.
I appeal to you with prayer, my benefactor and patron, my intercessor before the Lord God, holy angel of Christ. I appeal to you, for my barns have become poor, my stables stand empty. My bins are no longer pleasing to the eye, and my purse is empty. I know that this is a test for me, a sinner. And therefore I pray to you, saint, for I am honest before people and God, and my money has always been honest. And I did not take sin on my soul, but always profited according to God’s providence. Do not destroy me with hunger, do not oppress me with poverty. Do not allow the humble servant of God to die despised by all as a beggar, for I worked very hard for the glory of the Lord. Thursday Prayer - Prayer to Archangel Uriel
All events taking place on Thursday are controlled by Archangel Uriel. He monitors the state of affairs in Hell, and sometimes plays the role of God's messenger. How to prepare for prayer to the Archangels?
Preparation for the initial reading of prayers to the Archangels of the Lord includes the following steps:
- Fast. You need to fast before praying to any of the Supreme Angels for at least a week. It is advisable that the lean diet does not include animal products;
- Acceptance of repentance in church followed by absolution. This procedure is not mandatory, but highly desirable, since the energy of a pure soul reaches the Higher Spheres faster than the prayer service of a person stained by sin;
