Prayer with accents

To place the correct emphasis in a prayer written in Old Church Slavonic, you can refer to the text below, in which the emphasis is placed:

My Most Blessed Queen, My Hope, Mother of God, Friend of the Orphan and Strange to the Representative, the Sorrowful to Joy, the Offended to the Patroness! See my misfortune, see my sorrow; Help me, for I am weak; feed me, for I am strange! Resolve my grievance, as if I were wrong: for I have no other help than You, no other Representative, no good Comforter, except You, O Mother of God! May you protect me and protect me forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer text

Of course, there is no strict restriction that you can only contact the text of a ready-made written prayer. We can pray ourselves, from the heart, in our own words, exactly as it comes from the heart. But very often we cannot concentrate, concentrate, or correctly formulate our message. And instead of praying, we are distracted by external stimuli.

Therefore, it is very important, along with personal prayer in your own words, to use the prayer rules and texts compiled for us by the holy fathers. The prayer “My dear Queen” is a very famous Orthodox prayer. This is a petition for resolution of grievances and sorrows, for well-being and spiritual intercession. Its text reads as follows:

Blessings to my queen, my hope to the Mother of God, friend of the orphans and strange representatives, the sorrowful with joy, the offended patroness! See my misfortune, see my sorrow, help me as I am weak, nourish me as I am strange. Weigh my offense, resolve it as if you will: for I have no other help except You, no other representative, no good comforter, except You, O God of God, for you will preserve me and cover me forever and ever. Amen.

As we see, the text contains a request for help in trouble and sorrow, for strength in weakness. Of course, each of us grieves to one degree or another and bears our infirmities as a consequence of our sinfulness. And a person is not able to completely get rid of this. But we must fight our sins as best we can. And the assistance of the Mother of God on this path is invaluable.

It is common for individual believers to interpret the prayer text as if it is used for daily reading of prayers, which is erroneous. This prayer is a direct appeal to the Mother of God with a request, which can be seen from the lines “... See my misfortune, see my sorrow...”. It follows from this that reading a prayer is not a daily ritual, but a rite caused by the need for help.

Also, according to tradition, in a petition to the Mother of God she is called Nadezhda and the Queen. It is customary to call her this in honor of the fact that she can bring joy to the mourning, help the offended and protect the poor and wandering.

After the request that a person makes to the Mother of God, the final words “So be it.” They indicate that you do not doubt the power of the Mother of God.

  • Prayer to the Mother of God for health;
  • Prayer to the Kazan Icon;
  • How does the Unbreakable Wall icon help?

In what cases does the Mother of God help?

The New Testament describes many miracles that the Mother of God performed.
She appeared to many people in need of help in a dream and told them what to do to prevent trouble. It is to Her that believers turn first with various requests. And She, out of her love for us sinners, always hears our prayers and intercedes before the Savior.

Most often the Mother of God is approached with the following requests:

  • assistance in resolving conflicts and disputes;
  • about healing from various diseases;
  • about giving calm and peace in the family;
  • about the protection of widows, wanderers and the poor;
  • about helping the disadvantaged and offended;
  • about giving joy to those who mourn.

The Mother of God, as a loving mother, protects all Christians and always comes to the rescue if they turn to her with prayer. However, it is worth remembering that a person must honor the Mother of God in order to receive Her protection. To do this, you need to live according to God’s commandments and try not to sin.

Having seen the desert novice of the wondrous stranger who came to his cell and sang a sweet song to You, the Lady, you did not understand that there was an Angel in him, but greatly enjoyed his heavenly singing and asked him to write to him the words of the song he sang; When you see that under his finger the stone tablet has softened, and the words written on it have deepened, like on an arctic fox, you recognize this wonderful action and cry out to the Word God born of You: Alleluia.

Opening a new song with a God-illuminated mind, the Archangel spoke to the novice, as if the faces of the angels in the abodes of the heavens were chanting Thee, the Mother of God, and commanded him to proclaim to man the words of the heavenly song and teach them to sing to Thee like angels:

Hail, full of grace Mary; Rejoice, for the Lord is with You.

Prayer

O most holy and most merciful Lady Theotokos! Falling before Your holy icon, we humbly pray to You: listen to the voice of our prayer, see our sorrow, see our misfortunes and, like a loving Mother, trying to help us helpless, beg Your Son and our God, that He may not destroy us for our iniquities, but show We are kind to His mercy. About the all-singing Queen! Extend your God-bearing hands to the Lord, in the image of the Infant Jesus Christ you bore, and beg Him to deliver us from all evil. Listen to the choir

A beautiful song with the prayer text “Queen of Heaven”, when played in the house, will cleanse its space of negative energy and fill it with light and grace. On the Internet it is easy to find performances of the song by different church groups.

You should listen to the prayer online while standing in front of the images, facing the icon of the Mother of God - our Heavenly Queen.

Reading the prayer text “Queen of Heaven” will replace repentance in church for a Christian and strengthen him morally. If it is not possible to visit the temple, and your soul is heaviness and turmoil, recite the prayer of repentance or listen to it regularly at home.

Interpretation

The text of the prayer “Queen of Heaven” is not simple. It is not read when fulfilling the morning prayer rule. The prayer, composed in poetic form, has choruses and verses. They involve an appeal to the Mother of God for moral help. The Great Martyr is asked to help strengthen her faith, to protect her, to protect her from temptations and sinful desires.

The Most Holy Lady Theotokos is an example of a righteous, sinless life and service to God. She, being an earthly woman, experienced many attempts to tempt her with unclean people, flattery as a way to awaken pride in her, to make her sinful. The Mother of God, like no one else, understands the suffering and doubts of a mere mortal.

She is constantly next to Jesus Christ and asks him for all people to help them and forgive their sins. The Queen of Heaven directs the gaze of the Holy Spirit to those who suffer and ask for spiritual support, believers. So that he would condescend to them, strengthen them in faith, and deliver them from sinful thoughts.

The Song to the Queen of Heaven is a prayer of repentance. In each of its verses there is a request to hear a Christian, guide him along the right path and teach him to atone for his sins in order to appear at the Last Judgment and without fear appear before God, to worthily take a place in the Kingdom of Heaven, in paradise.

How to address the Virgin Mary

First of all, when using any prayer to the Mother of God, you must trust the will of the Lord, sincerely believe that the Queen of Heaven will definitely help in any sadness and trouble . But you should not forget your inner state, sweeping out all passions and sinful thoughts from your mind from your heart. If prayer occurs with a heavy heart or lack of faith, then you can only harm yourself by not receiving the expected help.

You should not wait and ask for something material, because help from the Lord and saints very rarely comes to people in their everyday understanding, in the form of something material. Basically, after due prayerful work and repentance, a person receives gracious inspiration, a new chance or peace of mind. All this, with correct understanding and faith in God, will help achieve the desired result.

Although the Most Pure Virgin Mary is revered by believers for helping almost everyone who asks, you need to start with yourself, repenting of your sins and thinking carefully about what you are going to ask for. First of all, it is necessary to evaluate whether what is being asked will not be harmful, whether it will lead to salvation and good, and it is especially worth considering whether the person is worthy of such mercy and whether he is not too bold in his desires.

Often people, blinded by their selfishness, forgetting about repentance, ask higher powers for something, as if from a magician, and without receiving what they asked, they delve even deeper into their selfishness, begin to grumble against the Lord and do evil, which subsequently leads to sad consequences not only for them. , but also our neighbors, on whom all human malice is reflected.

Therefore, any prayer must be approached judiciously and with a clear understanding of the result that is expected after proper prayer work. Even the Mother of God, whose all-encompassing love touches even the least sinner on earth, is sometimes unable to help people blinded by their passions and sinfulness. After all, a person, like a drowning person, does not want to admit that he cannot swim, refuses outside help or does not see it at all, and in the end dies. Anyone who is ready to accept sincere help and soberly assesses their strengths and skills and wants to be saved will undoubtedly get what they want.

Lady of Heaven

Who is most revered after the Lord, if not the Most Holy Theotokos, who revealed the Savior to the world, who atoned for the sins of the entire human race. She is loved by absolutely everyone and revered in all Christian movements - from Orthodoxy to Protestantism.

In the Orthodox Church it is also called the Ladder, which in translation means the ladder along which the Lord descended into our sinful world. She is very loved by both her Son and our God, which is why she is one of the few saints who, after death, was taken to heaven along with her body.

All people are no less dearly loved by Her, which is why so many miracles through prayers to the Most Pure Virgin have been recorded over many years. And there are a great many prayers to Her, and She will answer each one and come to help in human requests, needs and sorrows. The Most Blessed Mother of God loves every person on earth as Her Only Begotten Son, and out of the same great love for His Mother, the Lord forgives people through Her prayers many sins.

At every service of the Orthodox Church, the Mother of God is glorified, songs of praise are sung and holy prayers are offered. Almost all houses in the country have an icon with Her face.

How to read the prayer to the Mother of God correctly?

For prayer to really work, you need to show sincere faith in it. Before turning to the Mother of God, it is better to study the Bible a little, that is, read about her life, find out what to think about during prayer.

To read the prayer correctly, you need to do the following:

  • Read the prayer with reverence and respect.
  • Free your mind from worldly thoughts and ask for forgiveness for your sins.
  • Prepare with dignity and positivity.
  • Find a quiet place.

If doubts have crept into your soul, then it is better to put off prayer and move on to studying the Bible. You need to turn to the Mother of God in acute need, when a person is in a difficult situation and requires real help, since in childhood he received help from his mother.

Life of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Most Pure Virgin, the future mother of the Savior who came into the world, was born into a pious family that had already despaired of having children. Mary's parents, Joachim and Anna, are revered by Christians as an example of piety and a model of family life. Their lineage comes from the Old Testament king David and was considered at that time one of the most pious, and therefore was chosen by the Creator to reveal Christ to the world.

Speaking about piety, it is worth noting that this race was not absolutely sinless, but the most righteous among others. This does not mean that everyone, without exception, was righteous in it, just in comparison with the others, the family did not have so-called mortal sins in its chronicle. This is what predetermined that Christ would appear to humanity precisely from this generation, thereby embodying hundreds of Old Testament prophecies that foreshadowed the appearance of the Messiah.

Having received the gospel from the angel, Mary’s parents already knew in advance that She was destined for a special destiny, so they raised the girl in the most pious traditions. Upon reaching a certain age, the Virgin Mary, or Maryam, as the Evangelists sometimes call Her, was given to be raised and served by God in the temple. Later, Maryam was given under the care of the righteous elder Joseph, who became in his way the earthly father of Jesus Christ.

After the Nativity of the Savior, the Virgin Mary had to travel a lot around the world - sometimes hiding from the persecution of King Herod, and then following the Son of God who began His earthly preaching.

Throughout the earthly life of Christ, Maryam followed Him along with the disciples, being practically inseparable from Her Son, and all this time special grace was on Her and accompanied Her throughout her life. There is an opinion that the risen Christ first appeared to the Virgin Mary, the beloved Mother, and not to Mary Magdalene, as the Holy Scriptures describe. After all, the Savior, although being the Lord, nevertheless became incarnate in man, and accepted all good human feelings for Himself, especially love for the mother. He did not lose this love even after His atoning death on the cross, descent into hell and subsequent resurrection.

The Power of a Prayer Text

The prayer to the Mother of God “My Queen, Most Blessed” is revered and loved by all Orthodox believers. When reading it, excitement, experiences and inexplicable feelings arise in the heart of the person praying. The phrases of the prayer text express all the love of a Christian for the Queen of Heaven. They contain trust, hope for help and patronage of Saint Mary.

The words of the prayer “My Queen Offering” are regarded by some as a spell that can protect from trouble and instantly solve all problems. Actually this is not true. The phrase affirms the believers' recognition of the Mother of God as a saint, close to God and intercessor of all those in need of her help. You can add a morning rule to your prayer text.
